I bought this as a gift for my husband and he loves it. The sound is amazing and the bass is just perfect. Its other features like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video etc are a really thoughtful additions. Only downside is it’s a bit heavy and not portable, moving it around is not ideal. Overall, great buy!

Arrived quickly & well packaged. I replaced a 5 with this 10 because I thought the larger screen would help with my eyesight. Thats a definite yes to that! The ring doorbell picture is so much clearer but the sound also seems better, I even stream programmes to this now as this is such an impressive device.

I love the easy to use aspects with all of amazon’s devices and this Echo Show 2nd Gen is even easier with a screen to allow more and visual feedbacks.I have my house with a few of these devices with the Echo Show in my kitchen. This allows me to see the front of my house from my kitchen (situated at the rear) through my ring video doorbell, I can call Alexa to get me a recipe and not get a messy device as it is all hands free. The reason for my 4 star review instead of a 5 star is due to the fact that it looks like a tablet, almost acts like a tablet but unfortunately you can’t search the internet. Nor can you display recipes from something as popular as slimming world. There isn’t a skill (app) for that.

Two years ago we visited our nephew and niece in Boston, Massachusetts. They have an Amazon Echo Show with Alexa. My niece asked Alexa for recipes for making garlic bread...... I was absolutely pleased with the results Alexa showed. I wanted to purchase one in Boston but was told it would not work in Canada. They visited us in Ontario last Christmas and bought us the Amazon Echo Show (second generation) with Alexa. We were so disappointed to see that the Canadian Alexa does not support requests for recipes. My niece told us that it was fairly new to Canada and that recipes should be available shortly..... still not available and almost a year has passed. There is no doubt that I could recommend family, relatives and colleagues buy this product if Alexa could show ... MoreTwo years ago we visited our nephew and niece in Boston, Massachusetts. My niece told us that it was fairly new to Canada and that recipes should be available shortly..... still not available and almost a year has passed. There is no doubt that I could recommend family, relatives and colleagues buy this product if Alexa could show recipes and I know many would have bought it once they saw how it worked. I personally would not have bought this product without having the recipe function. I ask Alexa periodically for a recipe hoping the recipe requested would be on the screen..... still not functioning!!! When will this function be available? This was the most important reason I wanted this product..... so very disappointed with this expensive gift!
I bought this product in order to help keep in touch with family and am still in the process of setting it up with them. However, I have accessed Prime video, Amazon Unlimited music and my YouTube with it and it works perfectly. The picture is crisp and it responds very well to the touch screen.
I purchased an Echo Show 2nd Gen when they first came out & have been thoroughly enjoying it along with the 10-inch screen. I wanted to purchase one as a gift & I can't understand why Amazon now only offer them with a much smaller screen. I was pleasantly surprised to find one. I wish Amazon would reconsider their decision to downsize this product. As a person gets older, their vision diminishes & the larger screen is very helpful for viewing.
I still own the 1st generation Echo. It's been moved to my home office. And the All-New Echo Show (2nd Gen) has replaced it in the main living area of my home. Having a screen is like going from old time radio to television when it was introduced. And the 10 and a half inch screen makes it easy to see from any angle. It's about the same size screen as Google home. But it's 2/3 the size. Which makes it easy to place. I'm 100% and more satisfied the all-new Echo Show 2nd generation. And I highly highly recommend this unit.
Good Points: Such an easy way to control simple things like switching on lights or listening to music. The screen can be customised to show your photos, news updates, weather forecasts and many other things. Great for finding out answers to almost anything, a bit like google but just by speaking to the device.Improvement Points: The American version has more functionality
Good Points: i purchased this as an extra surprise last minute Christmas present for my adult daughter at a very good price. My daughter is highly delighted with it & finds it very useful. She loves it for reminders, access to cooking information whilst i the kitchen & many other facilities which she is still exploring. She is so impressed that I am going to purchase one for myself having originally dismissed them as a gimmickImprovement Points: none as yet.
Purchased almost 1 month ago and it works flawlessly. Integrated alexa works very well. I have a tp-link WiFi cam set as baby cam and it pics it up great with good clear picture. Can even double tap to zoom in. Wish it had ability to messenger or what's app call, can only video call to another amazon device.which let's it down. Have marked it down a star because of this. Otherwise very happy with the purchase.
