I bought 2 of these firesticks on recommendation from a friend, and it has not disappointed me. It's a fantastic way to stream your media on a non smart TV on a convenient platform linked with an easy to use remote control. It now replaces my now defunct Telstra Roku media players. I highly recommend this device

Bought this to update my smart Tv which had become slow & unresponsive when streaming, the firestick is a vast improvement. Compact, easy to set up, fast & responsive. Has all the main apps, the voice assistant & ability to control the TV's volume via the remote control are very handy features.

Very bad experience with this device: I have a relatively old Logitech Z906 (5.1) sound system, whose quality however is still good and that I want to keep using for my home cinema. After days fiddling with HDMI to TosLink audio extractors (I bought two, one of which on Galaxus and one on Amazon) without success, I finally found some info and it looks like the "Lite" version of this device is not capable of transcoding audio, but only has "pass-through" capability. I was using fire tv stick for years with small modifications like changing a default launcher for years. This was a great, cheap and reliable Android tv stick. Now Amazon disabled any possibility to change stock launcher which now delivers so much advertisements, that you cannot find your stuff among it. Therefore you are forced to look at Amazon ads. Don't buy it anymore. Fire tv stick is gone. I will return.
I know you can buy these anywhere. My firestick was old and malfunctioning. I could have order one online, but BJ's was close and carried other items that I needed as well. when I arrived, I feel like I won a #sweepstakes#. The number of items and selection and at great prices. The great customer service and easy check out made my trip to BJ's an exceptional one.
This is the second FireStick I have purchased. One for home and one for the cottage or when travelling. I used to connect my laptop to my tv with an HDMI cable to stream programs but then realized with a FireStick I could get most, if not all of the programming I typically stream. It was easy to set up and use and now I can still use my laptop when my wife is watching something via the FireStick.
We bought one of these to stream movies through the hdmi input of our Escalade for the kiddos. With the vehicle in park, we can see the hdmi input up front. Using the remote, we can select a movie without having to get in the second row. Ten times easier than using a tablet that might need to be recharged at some point, or worring about the kiddos selecting something that we wouldnt approve of.
Decided to get my self a fire stick. Stumble across a $20 HD sticks. Decided to buy it out and try it . Love it tremendously! Very simple to use. Love that alexa is built in so that search is simple. Great product overall. Highly recommend this as a gift or upgrade
This is my 4th fire stick. They are good for streaming and really great if you are an Alexa / Amazon integrated household (with ring cameras, order a lot on amazon, have automated lighting connected to alexa, etc.) as it works great with all of that. However, the roku tech is far better in terms of lag and freezing. These get outdated quickly and I find that i am often buying new ones as they slow and glitch.
I like the changes that have been made to the fire stick home screen. In order to change the profile on my older fire sticks I have to do a lot, but with this new one it’s easier to switch profiles. There have been just a few tweaks, but they are significant enough that I am considering upgrading all my fire sticks to this version.
