Not at all as bad as tech YouTubers try to make it out to be. This is a solid 6 core 12 thread gaming workhorse and it doesn't try to be anything else. I ultimately didn't keep my 7600x although all I do is game on my machines. Through a long set of troubleshooting brand new hardware making up an entire system... I didn't find out until I finally replaced the motherboard that that's where the problem lied. At time of writing, there is now the 7600 non-X CPU out there (I got my 7600x for the MSRP of non-X anyway) that may be an easier pill to swallow, being it includes a cooler. But this CPU does exactly what it's intended to do. It pushed frames to my 7900 XTX just fine!

The 7600X has the same processing power as the 5800X except it does it in 6 cores instead of 8 meaning the single threaded performance is way better in the 7000 series. The new boards are expensive but they should be viable for several years so it is an investment. I have definitely seen a boost in gaming performance, enough that I feel like it was better to upgrade the CPU than buy one of the latest overpriced GPUs.

A Great CPU for anyone looking for a CPU to build a PC you get ram less that 110$ and a MOBO less than 150$ so really good cpu for the next 5 years!!! But you will need a good cooler to cool this CPU does get to the most of 95c with you will want a 360mm cooler like the Ek Aio 360mm water cool, or a Noctua NH-D15 2x140mm fans this will help cool the cpu to about 60-85 depending on what games you play!!! OVERALL if you got the money and time i would recommend this CPU, But, If you want even more power get the AMD Ryzen 7 7700x and it is a beast just make sure yoyy purchase a good AIO for your build.

Great Upgrade
14 December 2022

This processor is a great upgrade from my older intel i5 6600k. It's about on par with the Ryzen 5800x 3D in gaming performance and beats it in productivity. I got this for 230 dollars during Black Friday weekend and am very satisfied with the purchase.

Amazingly fast but the platform is a bit expensive. I undervolted and put a power limit using PBO to great results. At -30 it was not stable but it was stable at -25. Also put in a 70W PPT limit. Those combined, I was able to get same performance but for 30C cooler and 40W less.

It itself is a decent CPU. But at the moment, there are no good motherboards to pair this which, heavily hampering it's value proposition against it's competitor, the 13600K, which it's socket, the LGA 1700 socket, has matured to a point where there are good value offering for reputable brands. This will most likely not be the case in the future, so don't let this change your decision. Another issue is not supporting DDR4, which the 13600K does. So if you care about value, the 13600K is a no-brainer at the moment. As for performance, according to AMD, it is roughly on par with Intel's last gen 12900K! Usually this would be incredible, but remember, Intel isn't playing around with 13th gen. Overall review: Due to it's expensive adoption costs, and being a new ... MoreIt itself is a decent CPU. So far, so good
10 January 2023

I went from a Ryzen 7 3700X to a Ryzen 5 7600X and didn't miss the extra cores. I can still get some content creation (Adobe Photoshop and Premiere) and having good single-core performance for games. This is the best all around CPU. The 7600X has reduced any application or game stutter. I had the money for the 13600K and it's the king of gaming CPUs at the moment, but I wanted to have longevity on the AM5 platform.

19 December 2022

I've been using the processor for about a week, and it's been working great. I'm using it in a build primarily meant for gaming. Before my GPU arrived I tried playing games using just the integrated graphics and it was still very playable. Things were fuzzy, but I still averaged over 100fps.

went from a 3700x to this lovely processor simply because of the big price drop. I have seen a big improvement in overall system performance with everything loading faster and games are simply not challenged at all. Am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend the 7600x to anyone thinking of upgrading.
