I loved Twilight Princess back when it came out for the Wii. I liked the art direction and the gorgeous open world, but some things looked a bit washed up close up on the original Wii version. Thankfully, the Wii U version definitely cleans up nicely and it looks gorgeous. If you like Zelda games or great open adventure worlds with great stories, then this is something I highly recommend to pick up. This will also give you a good idea of what's in store for the next Zelda - Breathe of the Wild, which will be out next year.

Its been a while since I played the original Twilight Princess but this seems like a nice upgrade even if you own the original (I do). The visuals look great and the changes made to the controls to use the gamepad is a great addition. The game can be played on the gamepad without the TV on but the best usage of it is as a constant open map. It also provides a quick way to swap out weapons.I'm not going to lie, I find the first part of this game a real slog to get through. Up until after the first time you are a wolf I just don't care for much of it. Once you get to start playing the human form dungeons I think it really picks up. Even though I bought the original years ago I never bothered to get very far in it as I just didn't care for it. This time once I got past the beginning I'm really enjoying it.

If you are buying this for the content in Breath Of The Wild, know that it provides the same content as the other/previous Twilight Princess Link amiibo. So if you already have the other one, keep that in mind. Otherwise this is a beautiful amiibo! With each generation of amiibos Nintendo is getting better and better at the smaller, finer details on them. For example, this Twilight Princess Link amiibo has a lovely golden chain mail underneath the tunic, where as the old/original one doesn't. It just looks 'so' much better than the previous one that if you're torn between the two, 'this' is the one to get! So happy I got this!

I really think the 3 latest Zelda 30th amiibo had a lazy design. Link's wearing his green tunic, has the master sword… I would have preferred to SS Link on his bird and TP Link wearing his farmer or sumo outfit.I also think you should make more items. Each new amiibo — or the latest Metroid Samus Returns Legacy Edition — are just too rare and difficult to grab. I was lucky for the amiibo, not for the Legacy Edition. My idea: have a website where people pre-order or at least register their interest in the edition or the amiibo months in advance so people interested have a chance to grab the item. This will also limit the people who buy to resell items. In the UK, the Nintendo Store is really good. But it's not the case in France, where I'm from. I played the original twilight princess on the Wii several years ago and still remember how enjoyable it was. The remake for the WiiU is even better. It is very refreshing to see Link in HD. The gameplay feels a lot smoother as well. It is much easier to aim thanks to the motion controls of the gamepad. They made accessing and switching items so much faster too. Nintendo did a fantanstic job with this remake, can't wait for the next installment. If you are a Zelda fan, this is a must have.
A classic that has been remastered for the new generation of HD gamers, with some added bonuses. I won't bother reviewing the game, since much of the original game remains untouched, but there are a few little things that make it just a tad bit better from what the previous generation of gamers first played. Higher resolution, deeper colors and faster load times make for a noticeably more enjoyable and immersive gameplay. Amiibo support is sweet (and optional), and if you happen to have the Wolf Link Amiibo you gain access to a secret area later in the game. An additional "Hero Mode" allows you to play thru against enemies that do double damage, or even 4x damage if you stack it with the Ganondorf Amiibo affect. This has been unavailable for a very long time so when I found out Nintendo we're doing another print run of several Legend of Zelda amiibos I had no choice but to pre-order a list of them. Of the four received, I reckon this is my second favourite. Twilight Princess is a fantastic game and this amiibo displays the more mature Link in a very wonderful way. I like the attention to detail in the face and hair, very nice. I had to knock it down a point thought because the sword looks really bendy and not in the least bit threatening. Other than that, another beautifully crafted Nintendo figure.
Twilight Princess was always one of my favorite Zelda games, but that's not why I'm giving it five stars; I gave it five stars because that's what this Zelda title deserves. With touch pad controls and motion aiming, it makes new players able to adjust as this game can be quite challenging at times. It's 50 hour story mode is brilliant and dark, and it's side quests will keep you busy for days.An HD remake, it's beautiful and well done, though I did notice when on horseback, the bottom of the TV the grass goes... bad. I don't know how to explain this but it hurts my eyes a bit. This happens when playing just on the Gamepad too. Other than that, it's a masterpiece.
Nintendo should release Twilight Princess for every console they make going forward. First the Wii, then the GameCube a month later, and now the Wii U. Now I want an NX version that I can play at home and on the go!In all seriousness, I'm glad to be able to play this classic game once more in HD and with additional features. Amiibo compatibility adds an additional dungeon and gameplay modifiers. Link is back to being left-handed and I don't need to use motion controls any longer! All in all, this is classic Zelda and should not be missed.
The Twilight Princess HD release is fantastic. The graphics have improved some; however, the game just runs so smooth on the WiiU. I had the game for the family Wii but I never really got around to playing it due to there being other games that were more enticing. Whenever I would pop it in the Wii, I would quickly stop playing as the graphics hadn't aged well, and truthfully, many games felt "clunky" on the Wii. As a huge Zelda fan, I have felt as if I had let the franchise down by not every getting through Twilight Princess. Now I can. Game runs great. As a Zelda game, it's ok; the dungeons are great but the game drags at times. I really enjoy it and it holds it own; but I am an older gamer - it doesn't top my faves, such as the original, Wind Waker, and Ocarina.
