What i loved about the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo: I loved that it smelled nice without being overpowering and just smelling like dry shampoo. It lifted my hair and gave it some volume. It also absorbed any signs of oily hair which was amazing. Little plus is that it also comes in a travel size which is extremely convenient for on the go!! I LOVE this dry shampoo! It's the only one I've tried that actually works and doesn't leave a white cast on my medium-dark brown hair. I've seen other people talk about the nozzle getting stuck and/or noticing other issues with the can immediately after purchasing and it has happened to me a couple times, once when I had the jumbo size shipped and another time buying the regular full size in-store. The jumbo size was unusable and I returned it, with the regular size the nozzle got stuck and started leaking but after messing around with it I got it to stop and was able to finish the can, but could only get it to spray using two hands. Cleans & volumizes

I really liked Perk Up Dry Shampoo by Amika, for those inbetween hairwash days! So there was a little white powder initially but after you massaged the profuct into your scalp, there was no trace of white left. My hair is black so it was nice to not have to worry about white streaks. I like that they use rice starch instead of aluminum- think it makes big difference. It also has sea buckthorn. My hair looked less oily, and added bonus that it gave me some volume! It smells really nice too (floral) and refreshed my hair. I also liked the lock on the can. This is very easy to use- shake, spray, massage! One of the best dry shampoos I've used and I love that it's vegan & clean. #giftedbyAmika

Great Product, but Unreliable Nozzle

I have a travel-sized bottle of this product, and was thinking about splurging on a larger sized bottle because it’s one of the few dry shampoos that doesn’t bother me. Unfortunately, during my last visit to my salon, this product became a topic of conversation with everyone because of the nozzle not working properly. One of the stylists had her entire bottle leak from the nozzle onto her floor. She mentioned that she could hear the hissing sound of the bottle slowly spraying on its own one day after purchasing the product. The other stylists had similar issues, as well. Additionally, they’ve had many customers and peers with this same experience. After reading the reviews, here, yikes, they weren’t kidding. Love this line of product feels great on my hair no itching as some others itch really bad this is natural looking ( I am blond) not sure if I’d use in darker hair unless they make one I haven’t seen a dark hair spray out but never know call and ask they might make one! I use the blind and on the days I’m in a hurry or skip a wash so hair doesn’t dry and split this is perfect! Even with a little highlight outgrowth I can spray this at roots and gives volume and hides alot of the med root color until I have time to highlight my outgrowth this stuff is amazing and I only recommend this and one other by redken! My favorite dry shampoo!

I've tried so many dry shampoos, I've lost count. This one is my very favorite! It gets rid of any oil and gives me back a little volume, and it smells divine. It has a *little* bit of that dry shampoo feeling that adds a tiny bit of gritty texture to your hair (which I think necessary since it's a product meant to absorb oil in between wash days), but it doesn't have the intense drying effect most dry shampoos have. I don't feel like I can tell I have used dry shampoo when looking in the mirror. It also doesn't have much if any visible residue as long as I shake it well before use. On the times when I have seen any little bit of residue, it's been super easy to get out with my fingers without much force at all. I will definitely keep using this! I'm obsessed.

My go to dry shampoo! I just wish the nozzle were better

I came back to amika because they don't have benzene in their products, and it's a win win because now I have an excuse to splurge a little more on probably one of the best smelling and most effective dry shampoos for my straight hair. However, I'm not sure if the packaging changed recently, but the nozzle has been extremely difficult to push down on and get product out. I developed arthralgia in my hands due to medication and it's a struggle in the morning to use it. The nozzle is too short now, so it's hard to press down. The angle and the smoothed edges of the nozzle also cause my fingers to slip off. Turned to liquid on 3rd use!

I used this twice- really liked it. No residue (I have dark brown hair so that’s a definite factor when using non- tinted dry shampoo), and smelled great! In the third use it sprayed out as a liquid! Got all over my bathroom, sweater , hair. Looks like paint! Now I have a nearly full bottle of unusable dry shampoo. It was more than double the kind I usually buy (batiste)- so I am very disappointed I only got 2 uses out of it :-( . I tried looking for a number or way to return or exchange and I cannot find any way to connect company other than through review. I want to believe there is a good product here and maybe I just got a one-off defect but if I cannot exchange this one, I won’t be willing to waste my money and try again with no customer service/ support.
