I first encountered Reflection 45 by @amouageofficial in @harrods perfume hall. The SA kindly doused my entire being with at least 12 sprays. I pirouetted with joyful abandon as the precious perfume mist settled on my hair, clothes and skin. Soon I was choking out amidst a magnificent cloud of stunningly potent fragrant molecules. It’s a fougere, but has none of the typical barbershop vibe. I love complex scents and for me this is perfection. There are so many facets, with florals, spices, a slight aniseed note stands out to me. And then there’s aspects of an Italian-style iris such as that found in Prada’s fantastic L’Homme.As with extrait strength fragrances, you tend to get it all at once, which is a fairly full on way to experience the perfumery of it. It’s the olfactory equivalent of the music production style, Wall of Sound, feeling like a wall of gorgeous, amazing smells.The presentation is beyond beautiful and I’m delighted to welcome this into my collection.

Great, but has a weaker sillage than most Amouage fragrances.
Good packaging but the decant bottles used for the 1 ml samples are defective. The sprayer nozzles separate from the bottle very easily, even when simply removing the cap. The threads of the nozzle need to be glued into the bottle.
This fragrance is an improved version of Amouage Reflection, and even though they have a very similar structure and smell, in my point of view Reflection 45 smells slightly different and better, I have gotten more compliments with the 45 version than with the usual version. Amouage Reflection smells very fresh and nice, but it does not last very long. The reason I wanted to try Reflection 45 is that I read that it was a more long-lasting fragrance and indeed it has exceeded my expectations in this area, it last all day, and overall the smell is impressive. I would say one-of-a-kind fragrance.Saying this, I have to admit is more of a summer fragrance, but could do it working in winter due to such a long-lasting effect.
