Amoy Straight to Wok Medium Noodles 2 x 150g

I love these. They?re pretty close to the versions I get in the Chinese supermarket but when that?s too far to get to I buy these as a suitable alternative. Have a couple of packs in the cupboard all the time. I cook them at the end of the stir fry and just add a tiny bit of boiling water on top of them when they?re in the wok.

I love these nutty bars, but they are usually too expensive. These were very affordable and I bought them in bulk. They are excellent quality and value for money

You can end up tearing your hair out if you're tired and trying to separate these noodles straight from the pack without ending up with chopped noodles. I've found a little trick that helps a lot if they seem particularly impacted and hard in their packet - just pierce the bag once, pop it in the microwave on low and watch it like a hawk for a minute or so. Take it out and it should be warmed through enough to have made the noodles far more pliable and easy to handle. Alternatively, if you have a pan of hot water going, just put the bag in (without piercing) for a couple of minutes and again you'll find they soften up without breaking. I find I can stretch a pack out for two hungry adults no problem with a pack of stir-fry veggies and some extra mushrooms and water chestnuts, served with your choice of stir-fried meat, prawns or tofu. They're very tasty noodles, nice texture, and they make a nice change from our usual favourite, the ever reliable Sharwood's medium egg noodles, which are dried but only take a few minutes to boil. For late nights when you just can't be bothered these are great, though.
