Amsterdam Acrylic Paints, yes please!

Started using Amsterdam Standard Series a couple of months ago. I do fluid art or acrylic pour painting and wanted to use a better paint. I have been doing this type of painting for a year now have graduated to this type along with a few others. The colors are beautiful and hold up well to whatever medium and paint extender I use. I would recommend these to anyone who’s looking to take their artwork to the next level. Have purchased quite a few colors. Love them!

Amsterdam Standard Acrylic Paint

I like Amsterdam paints for a variety of projects from pouring paints, painting abstracts to everything else. They have a nice pigment, come in a great variety of colors, and I like how they label their product for both opacity and name color. These are one of my favorite paint to paint with. (I also like Liquitex and Golden)

Good for fun or school projects. A little thin.

A little watery and transparent but ok for a school project or just for fun. I tried this acrylic on canvas, candles, and poster board and wasn’t that impressed. If you want an immediate punchy golden shimmer for something more professional, I recommend going with a different brand.

Good quality acrylic for gel plate printing

I use acrylic paint for gel plate mono-printing, and Amsterdam acrylics are my favorite. I like the viscosity of the opaque colors. Some other brands I’ve tried have been a bit too liquid and can pull away from the surface (don’t know quite how to explain it) - it can be an interesting effect - but I like how I can get solid color with the Amsterdam and how it is very good at binding to and lifting other layers of paint from the plate. And a little goes a long way.

Great paint for the price if you're not allergic

It's really not bad paint when I could still use it. Good viscosity, pigmentation, and although I'm a fan of heavy body paints it's still thick enough for my tastes. My only problem is the undeclared ingredients on the page here. I'm allergic to the biocide that both they and Golden use. Luckily it was on the tube though and I avoided a reaction. I still have to return it.

Great quality, great choice in colors!!

I have been painting with Amsterdam Acryclic Paint for years. It's by far one of the best quality acrylic paints out there and for a reasonable price. Love the color choices and how it feels when I work with this paint. Highly recommend this brand for beginners as well as for experienced and professional artists.

One of my favorite colors! Amsterdam acrylic paints are easy to work with and experiment with. As a mixed media artist I use a lot of their products; from paint to various acrylic mediums. The prices are consistent and reasonable. Will continue to use.

Provided a deep rich gold color to my nutcracker.

I used this deep gold color to paint different parts of my tall wooden nutcracker, which I also bought at Micheal’s on sale for around $12. I used it on the shoulder ornamentations, some trim, the jacket ornaments, part of the hat and in some detail work. The paint covered very well, and gave it a nice rich look. I really like how it turned out, as did two of my grandkids.
