(8,231 reviews)

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation has gone above and beyond, giving you more than you could possibly ask for. Not only is it water-resistant, it is also flashback free and long-wearing, providing medium coverage all day long. With a velvety consistency, the liquid both buildable and easy-to-blend, melting effortlessly into the skin. Thanks to light-reflecting particles, the formula is dewy at first, but dries to a matte finish with a hint of luminosity. The weightless nature of this foundation makes it feel like a second skin, and it is so good on its own that you wont need a setting powder. This foundation will quickly become your best friend, blurring imperfections without caking or masking your skins natural radiance.

I'd like to pre-face by saying this was purchased at HALF OFF, ABH had a one-day sale and I thought I'd grab it for just under $20. It's a solid drugstore foundation for people with dry skin like mine. There are FIFTY shades to choose from so no matter what skintone you might be, you WILL find your match, guaranteed. I'm pretty ghostly so 130N is my perfect tan colour for summer months. Pump bottle is heavy glass (yass!) with a plastic cap, looks nice, feels good, don't drop it. It provides a rather light but buildable coverage with a natural sheen finish. Easy to blend with a damp sponge - though it looks like a foundation brush could do a great job also - no streaks. Vegan and certified cruelty-free. Love that! For $19 it's a steal! It starts bunching up and creasing around the 3hr mark and gets worse after that. I only wear this around the house or maybe running errands. I wouldn't use this for events or important meetings as I can't trust it to stay. I'd purchase this again at half off only. Definitely is not worth full price.

I never would’ve thought that I would ever be attached to a foundation like this one. The packaging feels luxurious, high end, and sturdy. The shade-range of this foundation line is stellar! I’m very pale, and I was surprised to see that there was a perfect shade for me to use. It is definitely a medium-build coverage which gives you the best of both worlds whether you prefer a natural ā€œsecond skinā€ look or a natural yet bold look. It’s one of the only foundations that doesn’t cake up on my face. It wears perfectly on combination oily skin. I can’t believe it’s labeled as a foundation because the lightweightnesss of the product feels similar to that of a serum. All in all, I’m impressed by this product, and I’m incredibly pleased to have found my holy grail foundation.

Best foundation ever
22 November 2023

This foundation is the best - I feel like every year makeup gets better and this is at the pinnacle of foundation innovation. It combines the great coverage, layerability (is that a word?), moisturizing, with great wearing. I have mid 40s combination skin and am pretty oily in the T-zone. It doesn't crease or flake, and slowly mixes with my skins oils throughout the day. I usually need a little powder touch up near the end of the day, which is way better that my timeline with other foundations. I've gone through my first bottle of 315N and plan on buying another of this shade as well as one more a shade lighter to mix for the paler winter months. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Inconsistent not worth the price anymore
24 October 2023

This is my third bottle. I never had any issues with the first two. Loved how it wore throughout the day, never looked dry or cakey, or oxidized. Shades could be better but i managed to find one that works. This use to be my favourite foundation and now I don’t think I’ll ever repurchase it again. This bottle I have I’m barely halfway through and it’s off. The colour oxidizes immediately upon application. It’s very patchy and doesn’t blend nicely. I’ve applied it the same way every time I use it so I know it’s got nothing to do on my end. I’m really disappointed I cannot recommend it it. With Sephora new return policy you can’t even exchange it so you’re stuck with a crappy $50+ foundation!

Perfect for using with a heavier matte foundation
21 December 2022

I've been using this for 3 years now off and on. I was matched in the store where the employee swatched a small amount on my neck. At first i didn't think it was my shade because it was lighter but it oxidized and finished off perfectly. I use this in the winter months when my skin isn't extra oily and my face is a shade lighter. I have a weird undertone that sometimes looks golden yellow and sometimes warm olive depending on the time of year. I bought this in a 420C and next I'll try 440C for when the seasons change. This formula is light weight and provides a beautiful coverage even though I have white heads but I will say EXFOLIATING is essential to getting it looking blurred on your skin, especially if you have dry patches. This is not really for oily skin, but since I love/prefer this lightweight consistency I mix it with two faced "born this way" or Estée Lauder "double wear" (which are full coverage and mattifying). In this way, I get the best lightweight matte/blurred coverage! Since I've started doing this I've been getting a lot of compliments on my makeup and the best part is I don't feel like debbie cake. Lol

Please don’t ever stop making this foundation
19 April 2024

I adore this foundation. I hope this NEVER stops getting produced! This foundation is like butter on my skin. It’s soft and dewy, and doesn’t settle into any fine lines or pores- seriously! It makes my skin actually visibly younger. I switched foundation for a couple months and it destroyed my skin. I switched back to this, and my skin is much softer even after this has been all washed off. It also looks incredibly natural, not caked and the color choices are wonderful. I literally glow when I wear this.I am not knocking any stars for this because tons of other foundations do the same thing, but the one thing that can be a bit tricky is it’s not transfer proof.

Pretty awful
21 September 2024

I am very confused by the positive reviews for this, especially the ones by ladies with mature skin. This foundation is pretty bad. like another reviewer, I have tried using this in every way I can think of. With different primers, setting sprays, etc. It has so many issues. Makes my pores look huge even with blurring primers, settles into my smile and one forehead line so bad. It's super cakey and slides off the face. Like I was in shock the first time I wore it, it looked ok in my beauty room but once I stepped in the light, I looked insane. I will try it. Couple of more times but I'll have to give up after that.

Skin like foundation with a nice glow

I purchased shade 130N from the shade finder and it was actually very close to my natural shade so for that i am grateful! I bought this during the spring sale for half the price of retail and just received this today in the mail. The moment I opened the bottle to swatch I knew I would have a love hate relationship with this product, the shade is great, it’s super thin so feels great on the skin, skin like, no added fragrance I can tell however the bottle I don’t like so much. Just from opening it and trying to close it leaked down the bottle and all over the rim. Maybe it was from shipping and it needs to settle some but I’m not 100 percent feeling the packaging. Beautiful coverage and I will update if there are any issues with it separating through the day. All in all for the price I paid I am happy I purchased this product.

Skip ABH foundations…
24 October 2023

If I could give 0 star I would. First off, luminous implies it’s not a matte foundation - it dries very matte which sucks because I am in my mid30s and do not want matte foundation anymore due to the increase of fine lines on my skin. Second, it does not matter how you prep your skin this garbage will pill and separate everywhere. I’ve tried water based and oil based skincare before applying, I’ve tried multiple primers, and multiple sunscreens. The only way to not have it pill as badly is to apply to bare skin, which is a hard no. I will never purchase another ABH foundation after this, I can’t even return this garbage. Thanks to the Sephora employee who clearly didn’t know anything about this foundation or mature skin, for suggesting this worse-than-drugstore ...Ā MoreIf I could give 0 star I would.
