Andis Profoil Copper Lithium Titanium Foil Shaver

If you’re a bald man with a beard myself then this is a great product to have! This is more of a “finishing” product. All you have to do is get your head down to stubble and and go over it with this and bam no hair left. It’s also great for lining up your beard. The only negative I would have to say is that I tend to go through the foil replacements quite a bit because I use mine so much but you have to realize it’s foil and isn’t made to last forever. Definitely a product to have if you like a clean shave.

Absolutely Professional

In the barber trade, Andis and Wahl are the big names in clippers shavers. When it comes to tools for finishing fades, the Andis Profoil and Wahl Shaver Shaper are the benchmarks. I bought the Andis because I like the way the shaver blades are staggered. The performance is outstanding. You shave as close as you want. But I'd have to caution anyone using this tool not to bear down hard because you'll be pushing the blades with far too much force against the foil which will wear down the foil and blades prematurely and might even produce a razor burn. Just take it easy and you'll have great results in short order.

All that glitters does not a hair shave!

Purchased this product online, delivery was on time and well packaged! Upon opening the package, the device itself looked nice and sharp but it felt rather cheap for the amount of money spent. While trying to test it out I noticed that the charge cord was as flimsy and useless as they come. The darn thing won't stay plugged into the device, it didn't bother me much as I started using it after the required initial charge duration. All the lights indicators worked fine. My first shave was smooth and efficient but after 2 weeks of use, the shaver was blunt as a rock. Though I cleaned it often it didn't help, then I noticed that the shiny bronze look has not turned into some dingy color. Andis TS-1 Shaver

Blimey!!...the Andis TS-1 is an unforgiving shaver if used improperly. Use lightly on the skin so as to glide on you skin. My face and neck is a bit hot, but got the equivalent shave of a double-edge razor shave, and no goose bumps. I heard the foil is brittle, so will go easy on it. I have tried many brands such as Philips and Panasonic in the last few years, top models too, and found they are kind to the skin but at the expense of the closeness of the shave with many passes. Big Letdown.

Don't get your expectations too high. Performance not that great.Only can handle very very very very very very very short stubble. I initially thought there was malfunction and I just got a bad set. My Wahl trimmers did as good or better. Took a long time to get an good smooth shave. I should have done better research of other brands. I doubt you will print this review.

Don't Always Believe the Hype.

After all the hype that I read and watched online, I find it difficult to believe that this product is as popular as it appears to be. When you run an electric razor over the same area up to 10 times and your whiskers are all still there.... then there is a problem somewhere. I made sure to apply light pressure and hold the product at the proper angle (as per the instructions) and the the only difference was chaffed skin. This product did even worse on my neck. None of the whiskers were cut and I had what looked (and felt) like burn marks on my throat. This is not the most expensive electric razor on the market, by far. But it's not cheap either. I had this shaver for about 3 weeks. I use this shaver on my scalp and I shave about 2-3 times a week. I have no irritation after I am done shaving with it, make sure that you do not push down on the shaver to hard when shaving. Take the time to understand how to use the shaver, I watched a couple of YouTube videos to understand my scalp and how to use it properly. The reason I purchase the shaver because I got tired of going once a week to the barber to shave my head and paying $15 $20 for that. I taught myself how to shave my head by trial and error. The shaver is a great value and now I keep my scalp nice and clean cut. I tried a couple other shavers but this one so far is the best for me can't go wrong for the money that it cost. The cons in opinion is that it pretty loud and it does vibrate quite a bit but it's not a big issue just letting you know what to expect. The other con that I noticed to get the best performance out of the shaver I need to clean it pretty often. Just read the instruction book it is pretty easy to clean. The reason I did not give it 4 stars because four stars in my opinion represent perfection the following cons is the reason for that. So if you don't mind the cons that I wrote then in that case it is four stars. To get the best results: 1. keepthe machine clean. 2. If you have long hair you need to trim down to double zero with electric clippers, just buy cheap one that is want I did. 3. Make that scalp and hair are completely dry. All the information that I supplied I physically went through and it's just what I had to go through it might be different for you. This information is for people who don't want hair at all.

It’s great!

The first foil shaver I bought was the Gamme+ Absolute, was told they all work the same. They definitely do not. I went looking for one to replace it cos it took almost 30 min to get it baby smooth. Bought this one because it’s rose gold and was left pleasantly surprised. Took maybe a couple minutes to complete someone’s whole head. I haven’t used it enough yet to comment on its battery life or how long before I need to replace the foils but I’m extremely happy with it and so we’re my clients

Lightweight, close cutting and excellent for a personal shaver

I have to say up front that I haven't used the comparable Wahl 5-Star Shaver in order to judge which I think is the better of the two. These shavers are described as Finishing tools, which is what I bought it for. It is lightweight and holds a charge for quite awhile. I estimate I could use this Andis shaver all day on a single charge. Use caution, however, as you don't have to apply a lot of pressure when applying it to the skin. Just use glancing light strokes in a smooth motion and it will do the job. I will take stubble down to bare skin. I'm still learning the proper technique in fades and getting the lines out with this tool. I think it will be great for bald fades and as a substitute for using a straight razor if you are uncomfortable using one, like I am. Sucks

My barber recommended those product to me. I had my hopes high since he's a barber and spoke highly of the product. However, less than a month, the shaver stopped charging. I understand these things happen, but within less than a month? Come on! And I realized that the cord got lose that it wouldn't charge the shaver. For that matter, I even had a hard time shaving with the chief plugged in because the cord was keep coming off. The shaver is fine, but I can't use it when it's not charging properly and the cord is keep falling out. I even purchased extra parts because I never had these kinds of issues with any other products. Those parts just had to go to waste....
