Andre Verdier Debutant Cutlery Set, 24 Piece, Multi

I've always disliked the tendency of knives to fall off a plate, due to the heavy solid handle of a metal knife. As a child, we had bone-handled cutlery, much better balanced, with the CG near the centre. As soon as I saw your French cutlery ad, I ordered a set, just as well, as when they were delivered, I went to order another set for my son's family. Too late, alas, as sold out.I am very pleased with the purchase and the prompt delivery. Excellent!

I love the Laguiole cutlery, it looks so pretty and is lovely in the hand. However I do caution others that it is not that hard wearing and the handles tend to crack and break over time. I suspect this is because ours go through the dishwasher every day, but honestly who hand washes their cutlery these days? I just pick up a set on sale each year or so to top up...

This set is a beautiful high quality product & I love the colour I chose which compliments my Decor. The knives are super sharp & the weight of the cutlery pieces feel wonderful in your hands.

Really disappointed in this product. Too light in your hand so they feel scabby. The knife isn’t any good trying to butter toast or bread as it is too thin and pointy at the tip.For this reason the set needs to include a normal dinner knife. A really bad buy, I got taken in by the pretty blue colour.Thrown in a drawer to be forgotten about. I wish I could have sent it back but I had ripped off the plastic and washed them etc.

This is my fifth set, only because I'm building it up to a 20+ people setting. I purchased my first sets ten years ago and have been zipping them through the dishwasher ever since. In that time I've only had one breakage - a bee come off one piece. Overall I think they are great.

Beautifully Designed Cutlery

I was amazed when I received my set how beautiful they were. They look amazing next to my my Maxwell and Williams dinner set. I wish I've bought these sooner. Also, to other reviewers, in the notes it said, HANDWASH ONLY NO DISHWASHER.

Fabulous Xmas gift

Overall the experience from online ordering to the quick receipt before Christmas was great. My daughter absolutely loved this cutlery. She’s been wanting it for a long time and was thrilled to receive it so my choice was excellent. All in all I was very happy with my online experience and would definitely give 5/5 for all of the processes. Glad I found this supplier. Will absolutely order from them again and also promote their site to friends and family. Can’t go wrong.

I had been waiting

I had been waiting for the Laguoile Debutant cutlery set for a while because it had been out of stock. But it was worth the wait. Everyone in the family loves this gorgeous, quirky cutlery set. My husband and I love it because it feels so nice in your hand and the knives are so sharp. The kids love it because of the funky colours and the cute bee on the handles. The kids argue about who unpacks the dishwasher so they can put the cutlery away in it's own little wooden storage crate (which takes pride of place on our dining table). They also argue about who sets the table and which colour to give to which member of the family. They are a big talking point and a fun new member of the family. LOVE THEM!

Lovely but, don't put them in Dishwasher

I bought 2 sets of this cutlery and I loved it. I had to move house and couldn take these with me so, I will be buying more. My only issue was that with repeated cycles in the dishwasher, the handles started cracking and breaking. I would strongly advise against putting them through the dishwasher. Otherwise, they're great utensils.

Really disappointed!

When I opened the package I found one of the forks was broken; the little butterfly on the side had come off. I decided to try and save myself some hassle and glue it back on myself but after a couple of days it came off again. Now today (less than a month after purchasing it) another fork broke. I'd recommend nobody else buy these.
