Well, this is a mature warm... a tad spicy somewhat floral scent? Frankly, cant detect any key notes, but perhaps parchouli? Heavy, warm, spicy, nothing refreshing or comforting here, it is not your cozy scent. Mature, old, evening type of a scent, not exactly floral, not exactly gourmand. Sadly, I can't detect any delicious vanilla presense, not creamy, not woody, just bold, mature and pretty uninteresting. Moreover, I would say that it is a headache inducing fragrance, at least, in my experience. Long-lasting, stays days on my clothes, good projection too. Not wasted money if you can tolerate this smell. And I will go discover something else.

I have the bottle there that I bring with me and they fill it for me. I always know it’s fresh and always makes me happy. Now lately husband tells me that I smell different. HORRIBLE NEW FORMULA AND DOESN'TLAST!!

Horrible! What have you done to this perfume LOREAL? It has gone downhill since they bought it, reformulated it again to contain too much alcohol and cutting down on the beautiful smell. I have been wearing this since 1993 and my one and only perfume. Now it smells like pure rubbing alcohol without texture or the layers of sexiness, plus this is the first time Angel gave me a migraine as soon as I sprayed it on me. Never had an issue before! I compared my old bottle versus the new one I just bought and it is COMPLETE GARBAGE in smell and longevity! Even my husband got a migraine and asked" what is that awful smell?" Why can't you leave this original Angel alone? I tried to switch to the other ones but can't due to the high content of alcohol being added! PLEASE ... MoreHorrible! Make the old Angel an Extrait in a dabber and keep

I tested a fresh bottle of both Angel and Angel Elixer at Macy’s today. I sprayed each on a wrist and walked around for quite awhile after. New bottle of Angel shocked me! It smelled like the old Impressions of sprays at CVS. It’s not deep or smooth or even sweet anymore! It barely went into the air. (Which is fine I don’t wanna choke anyone) I have some of my older bottle left and dabbed a tiny bit on the crook of my elbow to compare. THAT had the dark sweet scent and immediately I could smell it waft around. Will definitely not buy Angel anymore which is incredibly sad to me. PLEASE MAKE THE OLDER VERSION EVEN IF ITS A DABBER AND LABEL IT EXTRAIT DE PARFUM IF YOU NEED TO! Even if it was limited edition every few years or an online exclusive. Angel is down to three notes now?! Bergamot, Cotton candy, and patchouli? Well, it smells like that, and not even strongly. I followed Angel from 1996 and on. Granted,back then it was INCREDIBLY strong and everyone drowned themselves in it, much to other’s chagrin. So I get reining it in a bit. But it was also deep, darkly sweet, complicated. Cotton candy, pralines, honey, fruits, and a deep bitter chocolatey patchouli. I tested this one against my older bottle and it just doesn’t even have any character anymore and was gone in two hours even from my skin. The other arm (the older one) was there for 8. Product can completely evaporate

This perfume smells amazing but the customer service from this company is the worst if you have an issue. I have been using this perfume for years but the last time it was given to me by a person who always buys perfumes at reputable companies this Angel perfume just completely evaporated. I have it for a while but I have had perfumes for many many years that have never had this happen. I’ve actually have never had a perfume at all where this occurred. Customer service would not help at all. Wanted an order number that I obviously could not have, since it was a gift, even after I provided pics of the genuine Angel bottle. They could care less that it was their own genuine product or that the perfume just evaporated into nothing. I absolutely adore the Angel scent. It is clearly perfect for me as I have been devoted to only Angel for nearly 30 years. I get compliments every. single. time. I wear it which is daily. I have even started making my own body powder utilizing the perfume & a “recipe” I have worked out to perfection to replace what was once offered but no longer. Lazy & complacent. I have used Angel as long as I can remember. Nothing else compares and everyone loves it. I get compliments all the time. I recently retired so, in attempt to save money, I purchased from another reputable site. After wearing it for a week, I was convinced it was a fake. I can usually smell this lovely scent ALL DAY, but this bottle only lasts 1-2 hours. I researched how to determine fakes and have determined it is, in fact, the real deal. With that said, how can so many women be complaining about the scent not lasting and your response is simply that the formula hasn’t changed so it must only be the customers ‘perception’. The old formula projected so well and lasted all day. Now, I spray it on me and my friends/family have to come up close and sniff my arm/neck to notice it. My husband of 33 years said you smell nice, but I thought you said you were wearing your Angel today. Before, he would walk toward me and say “ummmm Angel” and the reformulated version he thought was some other perfume. It was citrusy and simple not warm and deep. So, I went to Nordstrom and bought one thinking I got a bad one from you guys. NO ONE STOPS ME NOW TO ASK WHAT I AM WEARING EVER WHEN I AM WEARING THESE NEW TWO REFORMULATED ONES. MY dental hygienist used to call me Ms. Smellssogood…not anymore. Last visit she said, “Oh darn. You didn’t put on that love potion today.” But I had. I had sprayed Angel on me and my scarf. We are not nose blind…my friend’s old one still works like Angel should. She is now terrified of running out and you don’t even sell her MUSE anymore at all either (MUSE was also amazing.) . It is not that we are incapable of using perfume correctly all of sudden. It is not temperature related. It is not that we just can’t smell Angel anymore due to overuse or something. You have said in comments that you change the product due to changes in regulations, availability of ingredients, and “improvements”, etc (you left out reducing your costs). Just leave it at that and don’t add that somehow long-term, devoted customers are just messing up somehow or wrong. Those ingredients, regulations, and “improvements” have created an inferior product. It’s sad. This was my scent. It was bold and unique and projected in a way that everyone smelled you but it didn’t slap them in the face. Time marches on and so I will search for a new perfume. It will be elsewhere, though, because 1. Your new scents just don’t perform as well or tickle my fancy. I tried samples and no compliments; 2. Your responses to the feedback from your customers is not good. It really says you aren’t listening, aren’t interested, and that makes me feel like it is time to find a new brand.
