So, I ordered this speaker and I'm glad with it. It looks nice and doesn't cost much. The sound... Well, it's OK via Bluetooth, that's all I'm gonna say. To be honest I was really surprised when I found that there is a 3.5 mm jack here, which is cool actually. I wanted to try it but I didn't have a cable and it didn't go with a speaker either (that's a pity) so I haven't test how good the sound is via jack with a good DAC. I purchased from the Anker store in ebay; it came as part of a lucky box deal July 2022. First, I was a bit disappointed as the Lucky box description said one will receive the latest technology at up to 60% off retail. But this model is one level down from the Soundcore 3 and vaued new at $50. With the two earbuds sets I got, for $99 altogether, I was "unlucky" Since it's waterproof, would be better with a strap to improve portability. The sound is pretty loud and bass is good. However, mid-range, vocal and melody, is not as crisp as my JBL Go 2. Bass is definitely stronger and sound louder than the JBL. I also like the big buttons on this model. The blue model is a flat sky blue 💙 and pretty. I would recommend if one can find this at a competitive price point.

Best Bluetooth portable speaker. PERIOD!

One of the BEST bluetooth speakers I have ever used...even easily syncs up with Ubuntu Linux and MXLinux. It auto connects to the last device used all on its own. No other bluetooth device did this well or comfortably. I despise the bluetooth protocol but this makes it bearable. It, like all other bluetooth devices has audio lag though...so you can not use it a portable little DJ speaker for bbq's unless you plug LINE-IN directly....a MUST have! Many bluetooth speakers including the newer SoundCore 3 lack this. What a terrible move! I'll stick with the Soundcore 2 and may buy another because you can Sync 2 of them together! One will act as LEFT speaker and the other as RIGHT. As I said, best bluetooth speaker of this size and ever I have used. Great price too!

Great Sound for a Great Price!

The Anker Souncore 2 has all of the features that I am looking for in a portable Bluetooth speaker.1. The speaker is the perfect size that allows it to be as loud as I would like while being small enough that it is easy to throw in my backpack.2. This speaker is very durable. The rubber shell around the speaker is great because I can throw it in my backpack without worrying about the speaker damaging other electronics or the speaker being damaged in my bag. I have used completely metal Bluetooth speakers in the past that always ended up damaged after spending very much time in my backpack.3. The sound quality is great! The speaker really doesn't distort much at higher volumes which I really appreciate. This is definitely my new on the go speaker that I will take everywhere! I haven't used a better speaker at this price point yet.

The range as well is quite decent, as I can walk quite a distance from my phone before the Bluetooth disconnects. I also noticed the battery lasts quite a while, as I have used it multiple days without charging it. I am glad the speaker is offered in various colors, such as black, blue and red, as I have grown tired of being restricted to black or white options. My only negatives would be, 1- the built-in microphone, as it seems to reverberate my surroundings, though, I did not personally get the speaker for its microphone, 2- there is no button to click to the previous or next track, which I believe is a design flaw, and 3- the bass gets muffled when maxed out, though remains crisp at 60-70%, so this is not a deal breaker for me. Despite such, after owning this speaker for several days, this speaker is worth it and I strongly recommend it, especially at its $40 price tag, and I know Anker always stands by their products whenever I have any issues.Pros:- Quality and durability: the speaker is built well, seems quite rugged and has an IPX5 rating.- Ease-of-use: the Bluetooth button on the speaker makes pairing a breeze, and the additional buttons on the speaker, which include a play and volume increase and decrease button make controlling tracks easier, though not to perfection; I would have liked to see a next/previous track button.- Performance: the Bluetooth pairs well with my phone and does not stutter, and its range is exceptional.- Sound quality: the sound reproduction is great, though the bass seems to suffer when you surpass 60-70% volume.- Battery life: the speaker lasts multiple days without the need to charge it.- Color availability: the speaker is offered in black, blue and red.- Warranty: like all Anker products, this speaker is backed by an 18-month warranty, and in my experience, Anker has always stood by their products with amazing support.Cons:- Microphone quality - Anker advertises a built-in microphone to make calling a breeze, yet per my testing, I found the microphone quality to be subpar. However, I would not even deduct a star for this, as I only intended to use this speaker to play music.- Missing essential controls – I find the lack of previous/next track buttons to be a major design flaw, as I am required to grab my phone (or device) to switch songs.- Sound quality when max volume – I find when the volume surpasses 60-70% the bass begins to sound muffled. Though, this is not a deal breaker for me.

Sings out with Authority

Cranks out some seriously excellent music. My ears hurt a bit from cranking it up too long. I bot several other cheaper Bluetooth speakers--usually the generic Chinese models. This thing blows them into shreds. Has enough bass I think I can get by without a sub-woofer. If you only have limited space this could easily be your main speakers. Does not have some of the niceties of the generic models like the tg 117 Chinese generic which is an excellent buy at around $15 and has fm radio which I enjoy. I still like subwoofers like my broken Klipsch Promedia 2.1--which is still a bit better for longer listening sessions, I think.

Just received my Anker soundcore 2 bluetooth speaker. It is very easy to use . When it wakes up and switches off it makes a noise , so you know what it is doing. It paired easily to my phone. It plays much louder than my old bt speaker and the design is simple and easy to use On/Off minus arrow( next) plus and the Bluetooth symbol. When its paired a blue led light up so you know you're 'on' . It has a rubber casing and is either waterproof or splash proof, depending on where you read. Whichever, it certainly means it will withstand some rain drops if you are using it outdoors- which is a lot better than my expensive phone managed! WHF, regularly tests 1000 equipment, in comparison a fifty quid bluetooth speaker may well appear a bit lacking, however, It seems perfectly adequate to me, anyway ,who is going to drag a 2000 Bang and Olafson setup to a picnic?. WHF does praise the battery life and waterproofness though. There are other features I know nothing about - talking to an Alexa and pairing - so you can have 2 Ankers for a stereo setup ( sounds good though) Overall I'm very pleased - a huge improvement on my last cylidrical bt speaker.

Such Value In Such A Low Price

If you’re looking for a portable waterproof bluetooth speaker that delivers damn good quality sound considering the price that will last you YEARS, look no further. I’ve had mine since 2017. May 2022 at the time of review. Countless showers and other scenarios have seen its use. It has been dropped several times, no damage. If you’re an audiophile looking for high fidelity sound, this isn’t for you. However, this speaker delivers an insanely good low end especially on House and other Electronic genres. Treble isn’t as twinkly as I’d like, but it does the job. For the price, I find no flaws in this device. Highly recommend.
