Annie's Shells & White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese, 6 oz

When these came out on the grocery shelf’s my daughters wanted to try them. It’s been recently we’ve been boiling the noodles and for some reason the water gets foggy when the macaroni’s are cooking and the shells do not cook well. We had to throw it away. So we don’t know why the noodles are not cooking right. again last night we had to dispose of them. We will not be purchasing the Annie’s Mac and cheese. The noodles are not cooking fully right. Don’t understand. We won’t buying them anymore. It’s a shame because they use to Cook well in the beginning.

As Expected for Instant Mac & Cheese

Bought it due to a sense of nostalgia from my college days. The quality and taste is as expected for instant mac & cheese. It does taste more sophisticated compared to similar products since it uses white cheddar as part of it's ingredients. The serving size is very generous and the packaging is nice and sleek. Overall, its definitely above average for instant food so worth getting if you're feeling lazy to cook from scratch.

Best Boxed Macaroni & Cheese

After resigning to a healthier lifestyle, I soon realized that there were certain things that I found difficult to give up. Macaroni and cheese was one of those things. After searching high and low I stumbled upon this gem. Not only is the preparation similar to "the orange stuff" but it's so much creamier with a lot of flavor and it's made with organic pasta. This is definitely a win. I highly recommend this product. You won't be disappointed.

Bland

I got real excited about this GF white cheddar blend and then I was really disappointed. Unlike some other Annie's Mac %26 cheese blends, this one is so bland. I recently became aware that I might have the beginning stages of Hashimotos (hypothyroid disorder) and learned that I needed more iodine in my diet and to cut out the gluten as per Dr.'s orders so I've been testing a bunch of new foods. This one is no bueno! Annie's frozen mac %26 cheese with cauliflower isn't half bad though.

Good! If you are a big fan of white cheese

The quality of Annie's Homegrown is always great because it is organic and doesn't include artificial flavors. The ingredient includes white cheddar for this one. Although, I'm not a huge fan of the taste of white cheddar I still wanted to give this a try since I like the other mac & cheese from this brand. To give this a little more flavor I added a bit of black pepper. I also like topping it off with some hot sauce such as Sriracha. I like the color of the package. The serving size is about 2 to 3 people...depending on how big your appetite and stomach is. I used a medium pot to make one box.

Mac 'N cheese is my love language.I have been a lifelong Velveeta shells and cheese lover. It's my comfort food. So it is extremely rare that I buy or try anything different. Something about Annie's shells and white cheddar caught my eye. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.Better than my favorite? Not quite but with lifelong sentimental value it would be hard to beat that in my mind.But this could easily be a new favorite. My little boy enjoyed it. And I would absolutely recommend!My only criticism is that the powder cheese does not mix well not matter what you do. So you're fighting powder chunks forever. I wish it mixed better. But overall, very yummy mac and cheese.

Melt the butter before adding cheese powder

This is the only kind of mac & cheese my daughter will eat. I like that it’s a little bit healthier than other brands. She does like the cheddar flavor too. I personally like the cheddar flavor better, but maybe just because that’s what I grew up eating. She likes this shape of pasta. The “regular” shape gets too mushy. The shell shape holds up better and does not get mushy. My daughter does have trouble sometimes mixing the cheese powder into the milk and butter. It can get lumpy and that doesn’t taste good to her. You have to make sure you melt all the butter and stir it a lot before you add the pasta. That’s very important!

Nope, yuck, heck no

The tang taste will freak you out. I know what cheddar is supposed to taste like. I know what white shutter is supposed to taste like. I worked as central market. And even opened the store in Fort Worth. We used to sell this at toys r us. I don't know why it took me so long to try this. When you first taste it it has a great texture. And then all of the sudden pow out of nowhere, you get this funky taste like if its bad. You know where they were trying to go with the flavor. But heck no they didn't make it. If you did end up getting this and you have to try to save it. You can try to use a little bit of shredded cheese or you can try some butter.
