Have Analon Advanced pots and wanted to add another. The Analon Advanced pots have changed. They are now almost half the thickness of the older Avalon Advanced pots i have. Feel cheaper and like they may dent easily. The price is too high.

I previously purchased a set of Oxo stainless steel pots and pans, that I purchased from your business. They were just ok! Not good for cooking eggs, pancakes, or food items of this nature. Nothing to brag about. I bought an entire set of Anolon pots and pans and ordered the straining saucepan separately. Cooks well and evenly, especially on lower heat settings. They also clean up easily as advertised. So far, I absolutely love this set. Gave 4 stars because I just purchased these.

T straining pots are so easy to clean. Nothing sticks, foods cook evenly, and the staining lid is very handy. I now have this in 2qt and 3.5 qt. I bought the first one thinking it would be my pasta pot, but it cooked so nicely I stopped using my stainless steel pots and just used the 3.5 qt pot, even when it was bigger than needed, now I have a handy 2 qt. I bought 2 pieces of cookware for my son and he likes how they cook and clean also.

I brought two of these small pots to use as a quick strainer for noodles and basic boiling needs. The first brown pot scratched up bad on the outside. Even the cardboard box it was sold in damaged the exterior. BUT ! the inside was perfect for the year I owned it, it remained like new inside. I was impressed enough to buy a second 2qt pot in moonstone and now upgraded to advanced home. I've experimented more with this little pot and realized it was a quality of nonstick that it could be used as a daily "egg pan". It has held up very well leading to purchasing an entire set. I will post a review after some use.
I bought this 2 quart Anolon pot on sale. I love the easy-grip handle and glass-top cover which has the straining holes for an added bonus. And, don't let me forget the pour spouts which again aids in functionality. Great little cooking pot which cooks food evenly.
This is an extremely light weight and thin pot. I've used the same Anolon pot for too many years (it started chipping and I should have replaced it) but it lasted a really long time and it felt nice and heavy. This one is super light weight. It feel like it will melt. Also the coating on it is rough in a way that makes it super unpleasant to touch. I thought I would like the pour spout concept but I realized that its just a big opening to let steam out so my idea of using it for making rice is shot.I did try making rice iwth it and it burnt to the bottom on my first go. That never happened with my old anolon pot.I got suckered in by the cool colors (i got the blue). I won't make that mistake again.
I got this saucepan because I was excited about the straining feature. I always hate to dirty another dish to drain my pastas and I thought this pan could eliminate the need for a strainer in a lot of cases. While in principle it works, the inefficiency make sit not worth it to me. When you use a strainer you dump the pasta out and it's done. When using the straining lid it takes a lot of time for it to drain and it's hard to get that last little bit out. I think I would save time by washing the strainer. In addition, most of the time when I am cooking pastas, I don't have to use the lid so it isn't actually saving a dish anyway. It is more efficient for draining grease from the pan but in this size of pan that doesn't come into play very often. When I got the pan, ... MoreI got this saucepan because I was excited about the straining feature. It is more efficient for draining grease from the pan but in this size of pan that doesn't come into play very often. When I got the pan, the packaging told me that the pan could hold up to metal utensils. I have only had this pan for a couple months but I have found this to be true. I have used metal utensils multiple times and it doesn't seem to have affected the non-stick coating.Overall, this is a good high-quality saucepan that didn't change my life, but I am very happy to have.
I've been using this saucepan for 3 months. It's my go-to-every-day pan. It's a little heavier than my old stainless steel pan but it's not a problem. It heats quickly on my glass-top range and its non-stick surface makes it very easy to clean. I've washed it by hand and used the dishwasher and either way works well. I love the strainer feature and use it a lot. I highly recommend this pan.
Overall, this is a really nice, sturdy saucepan. It is heavy and high quality. I absolutely love that it has measurement markings on the inside, and it's nice that it can go in the oven up to 400 degrees - that is a nice feature for me. The one unique aspect about this saucepan was actually the only negative for me. The lid has a strainer on it so that you can keep the lid on and drain the liquid. Unfortunately, the lid does not lock in place so you have to hold it on with one hand, and the pot is quite heavy when full of hot liquid. I found the straining procedure awkward and dangerous, and ultimately ended up just using a colander instead. This is a great saucepan, but I will probably not use the straining feature.
I have been using a couple of Analon pans for several years, and really like the way they're designed. So when I needed a new saucepan, I knew just where to go to find one by Analon. The non-stick coating is even better than before, though the coating on my older Analons is still like new. No need to use special plastic or wooden spatulas or spoons, whatever you grab from your drawer will work just fine. The lid is well designed, with a handle that is covered with something that doesn't get hot. The handle on the pot itself also doesn't get hot. No need to search for a pot holder while you're using it. Great when you've been boiling eggs or potatoes. I sort of wish I needed an entire set of new pots and pans, so I could buy this whole bunch! The price is very reasonable for a pot of this quality.
