Purchased this pan along with the 3.5 Qt pan with lid. The lid on the 3.5 pan retained soapy water underneath the rim of the lid. Submitted a ticket on this matter, we'll see how that is resolved. But this pan performed terribly. I followed the care instructions to a tee before first use. On first use, wanted to cook an omelet using olive oil. Ended up being scrambled eggs because everything stuck to the bottom of the pan! Did call to see if I could get my money back on both these items but Anolon has a no return policy on any used items which to me is ridiculous because who returns unused items unless they received the wrong items. I bought these, expecting non stick, and I'm completely unhappy! The warranty for return is useless as, it states that you can't use them and return. That's ridiculous! You don't know they don't work until you use them! They look amazing, but, they stick more than a stainless steel pan with NO nonstick coating! I used a pan twice to cook an omelette, and no amount of butter can prevent a sticky mess. I looked at the warranty and it says it is voided if used. Only unused pans can be returned in original packaging. Buyer be aware! I don't recommend buying these as a non stick pan. They look good and probably for meats might be ok. They just shouldn't be marketed as non stick.

I didn't really think there would be a big difference between this pan and others I have owned. I saw ads and read reviews, and figured I would give it a try.I am glad I did. This pan doesn't let anything stick to it; it cleans up with just a wipe of a sponge and warm water, and is ready to go again. I usually use a quick spray and get to cooking pancakes or eggs. I actually don't think I need the spray and will try that soon.I think I will buy at least one of the larger pans soon.I recommend this pan certainly.

This pan has been interesting to cook with! It’s special features have allowed me to cook in specific ways. The stainless steel patterning helps keep cooking oil evenly distributed and my steaks sear as though I was cooking in a cast iron pan. I was very pleasantly surprised because I got the outcome I wanted, without the bulk of carrying cast iron around and the hassle of cleaning it. This frypan went directly into the dishwasher and came out looking new. My favorite way to use this pan is for a one pan chicken thigh meal that starts on the stove, and finishes in the oven. I would liken it to that appliance that does everything in your kitchen. So happy with it!
My husband is very much into non-stick pans, and is super picky about them. This is now his favorite pan. He is particular about what tools may be used on it, because he wants it to last a long time. While it says on the directions that harder tools may be used cautiously, we only use plastic or silicone utensils. It does say it’s dishwasher safe, but we only hand wash it. It’s heavy duty, high quality, and good for every day use. Eggs easily flip without sticking, as well as pancakes. I’d highly recommend this pan.
I’ve been using this pan for the last few weeks so I could give a fair and honest review. First thing out of the box, my husband was worried the handles would get hot while cooking— maybe they would if you stuck the pan in the oven, but just cooking on the stove hasn’t made them hot. I do love having both handles on the pan. Because of the unique searing lines in the pan, I was interested in how it would handle different cooking methods. I’ve used this for a few different things— eggs, searing meat, quesadillas, grilled cheese, sauces and chicken. This is not going to be your go to pan for scrambled or fried eggs. The searing lines are actual raised parts in the pan, so you loose a lot of egg in this pan. This pan really shines when searing or cooking meat. The searing lines are actual raised parts in the pan, so you loose a lot of egg in this pan. This pan really shines when searing or cooking meat. I seared a roast today and it got the most beautiful crust on it, but when I cooked chicken, I lost a few of the crispy pieces to the sear marks on the pan. It’s also not your go to pan for grilled cheese or quesadillas. It’s a bit obnoxious to clean, too, because you have to carefully, but sometimes forcefully scrub it to get all the things that cling to the sear lines. I have enjoyed this pan, but as I don’t often grill steaks or cook meat inside (I prefer the smell to stay outside on the grill) it’s just not a go to pan for me. It definitely shines while cooking meat.
Got my new 12-inch and 10-inch pans a few weeks ago and am loving cooking with them! They are great for cooking meat and fish, as they put a nice sear on the outside but leave the inside tender and juicy. My only complaint is the cooking surface area really should be bigger. For instance, on the 12-inch pan, it measures twelve inches across the top, but because of the it slants in from top to bottom, the cooking surface is closer to 8 inches. All pans slant in like this somewhat, but it's taken to an extreme with the Anolon X. If not for that, I would give them five stars easily.
The X factor is real! This grid tech lives up to the hype & then some! Truly awesome frying pans - we kept it simple with fresh squash mix for the first cook and their flavors shined through after sautéed in bit o evoo & salt/pep to taste! Used the 8 1/2” on our gas grill’s side burner, what a pleasure! The other eviews were spot on re: quality of materials and manufacturing - LOVE the look and feel of the pans (the handle is perfect and the flat rivets in-pan are brilliant). The design is pretty to look at and amazingly functional. We bought the utensil set by Anolon and they are equally awesome in design & use! Highly reco them to pair with the Anolon X pans! (No, I was not paid to write this - just that impressed and happy with our purchases). My husband ... MoreThe X factor is real! This grid tech lives up to the hype & then some! i just bought the 12 inch as i had purchased the 2 smaller pans earlier. i've made grilled cheese sandwhichs several times since my initial purchase and couldn't believe how the anolon pan totally transformed my cooking skills. the bread was a uniform golden crust with no burn... best grilled cheese i have ever had. handle stays cool even whey pan is very hot. i have also used it in the oven to cook a beef roast, as there's no plastic handle. the reviewers who have given 1 star because there was cooked material on the bottom of the pan are nuts. this material cleans up immediately with just water. i understand it is called fond, and is same residue at the bottom of instapot after searing meat, which is used to make gravy after deglazing. from a friend who is a real ... Morei just bought the 12 inch as i had purchased the 2 smaller pans earlier. i've made grilled cheese sandwhichs several times since my initial purchase and couldn't believe how the anolon pan totally transformed my cooking skills. the bread was a uniform golden crust with no burn... best grilled cheese i have ever had. handle stays cool even whey pan is very hot. i have also used it in the oven to cook a beef roast, as there's no plastic handle. the reviewers who have given 1 star because there was cooked material on the bottom of the pan are nuts. this material cleans up immediately with just water. i understand it is called fond, and is same residue at the bottom of instapot after searing meat, which is used to make gravy after deglazing. from a friend who is a real cooking afficiando, i understand iron skillets are never washed and one wants this type of material to build up as it enhances the flavor of the the next cook. i'm not sure if this can be done with the anolon. this set is worth every penny and why i just added the 12 inch. you get what you pay for and these pans are well worth it
This pan was such a blast to cook with. I was really impressed with how well it retains heat and cooks food evenly. It has the convenience of a non stick pan & cleans up really easily but has the functionality of a cast iron pan & produces a sear on a steak as it advertises. It is slightly heavier than a typical pan but in my opinion this just shows how durable and high quality it is. Make sure to follow the directions on heating the pan for a few minutes before cooking, as that ensures it keeps a non stick surface. I am loving this pan so far and look forward to using it for more meals!
