I recieved this product for free from influenster and Aperol in exchange for my honest opinion. The drink is an acquired taste which I have all intentions of acquiring. I made mine with a slightly sweeter sparkling prosecco by LA Marca and San Pellegrino soarkling water. It has a light orange taste with a hint of floral. There are different homemade versions so go ahead and experiment. Some like drier less sweet brut champagne or sweeter Asti. Some prefer less or more Aperol. Overall a good experience and I intend on trying different versions. Thank you Influenster and Aperol!

I love Aperol’s flavor profile of sweet and bitter oranges, tart rhubarb, and some secret herbs and spices. It has a low ABV of only 11% making it a great addition to cocktails. And it is so light and smooth that you could even sip it on its own (probably on the rocks). As an aperitif most people drink it before a meal or with snacks like salted peanuts and potato chips. For me, summer is the perfect time to sit on a patio or by the pool with an Aperol Spritz in hand. The combination of Aperol, Prosecco and an orange slice just feels like a mini vacation to me. But spritzes aren’t the only cocktail you can make with this delicious bitter, yet sweet liquor, try the Paper Plane or Bird of Paradise!

Best to be shared! My go to drink anywhere. The trick is to give it a second sip after the first, as the first sip is always the most bitter. The other secret is to build it like a sandwich, Prosecco - aperol - soda - aperol garnish with an orange slice! Voila ! Summer drink but it can be an all year around drink. Be aware, will make you hungry as it’s supposed to be a pre-dinner drink.

I recieved an incentive from Influenster and Aperol in exchange for my honest review. I've never had an Aperol Spritz before or tried Aperol in any other drink. An Aperol Spritz is a mixture of Procceco, Aperol, and soda water. It is a very easy drink to make and it was very refreshing with the citrus flavor from the Aperol. It definitely is on the drier side but it's not void of all sweetness. It was a nice drink and I may make it again. I'll probably look for other drinks to use with the Aperol in because I think I'll like it more in other cocktails.

There are few cocktails more refreshing and quintessentially summer than an Aperol Spritz, in my opinion. I’ve been a fan of the bright citrusy, sweet, and slightly earthy and bitter flavor palette paired with light bubbles (soda and Prosecco) for years. Because of the blend of bitter herbs in an aperitif like Aperol, I enjoy that sipping these cocktails actually has benefits like improving digestion. Aperitifs were traditionally served before meals to improve digestion! I simply enjoy the taste and drink them anytime 🥂 🍊

Aperol is, like, the Goldilocks choice for spritz. White spritz (water+prosecco) is a bit bland, Campari spritz is too bitter, but Aperol Spritz? Aperol Spritz is just right. But is has to be prepared the right way: Prosecco, Aperol, soda water. You can choose to have a slice of orange or a cocktail olive in it, and of course a moderate quantity of ice, but that's pretty much it. As an Italian expat I've seen a lot of things, lemonade, vodka, whatever... don't fall for it. PS: needless to say, drink responsibly - a couple of rounds probably won't make you pass out, driving after a couple of rounds can make you pass away. Stay safe.

A late discovery for me - what have I been missing
17 October 2022

I always imagined that Aperol would be a sweet drink - because of its colour - and was never particularly temped by it. During a recent holiday, on a pleasant warm day in an Italian piazza, I thought I should try an Aperol Spritz. How wrong I was before - what a very refreshing and enjoyable drink. I doubt that I could add anything further to what has already been written about it.

Aperol Spritz is our favorite summer drink
13 May 2023

Ever visited Europe? Well, I am from there and Aperol is one of our favorite summer drinks. Not too sweet, but fruity and light. Mix it with sparkling wine and some soda (or without works too) and add a splash of Aperol to it. Sometimes I add orange slices. Sometimes fresh mint. Always on ice. Refreshing. Sophisticated. A must-have in our bar.

Love this for my Aperol Spritz
10 December 2022

I took off one star because Target is charging way too much for this bottle. I got my from a well known liquor store for only $24.99 for the same size bottle. Here is how to make an Aperol Spritz. It taste so refreshing. I love it. Aperol Spritz (Per Cocktail): 2 Icecubes 1 Orange slice 2 Ounces Aperol 3 Ounces Prosecco A splash of club soda or unflavored sparkling water .

There is no substitute
18 April 2023

I've tried to find a cheaper substitute since discovering Spritzes in Italy. I cannot find one. Aperol is it. I did find Select for Venetian spritzes, and that is good, but Aperol is the only aperitivo suitable for a common Aperol spritz. The alternatives had too much alcohol and/or not enough bitterness.

Aperol is a low-grade liqueur made by the Campari Group in Italy. Since Italian Gaspere Campari created the secret recipe of the famous Campari liqueur in 1860, this red-coloured aperitif with a bitter taste has gone from strength to strength. Its success has put the Campari Group in the top 10 distilled drinks companies in the world. It has a portfolio of over 40 brands, and continues to focus on original, versatile and attractive creations. And this is exactly what Aperol is, a drink invented by Barbieri in the city of Padua in 1019 and later acquired by Campari. Aperol is an infusion of herbs and roots, including bitter orange, rhubarb, gentian and cinchona. This creates a drink similar to Campari but with half the alcohol content (11%) and something that is a little softer and less bitter. Aperol is made to drink neat or as part of a cocktail. One of the best known drinks is the Spritz which is made with sparkling wine, soda and Aperol “on the rocks”. Aperol, which means ‘aperitif’ in Italian, is a low-grade liqueur, which, as its name suggests, is perfect as an aperitif.
