Gizmo here to review prawn nom. As the mighty hunter and protector of my household I must have the highest quality of food. This offering of prawns is very worthy of my very high position and is the only worthy food I shall not eat anything else I will turn my nose to any lesser foods. So if you cat is a mighty worthy hunter only feed them this. 5stars for the worthy prawn noms Continue below for humans review. My cat is super picky about his food this one is his all time favourite. He would never pass up this one. Its most popular one in stores I buy this one in bulk. Great quality cat food. Clearly a crowd pleaser.

I have a ragdoll cross and i nirmally buy her either Applaws tuna with prawns if McFeast Royal Tuna with prawns. This is very expensive so I take advantage when it is reduced. Pet Circle occasionally iffer it on special and iften give me an extra $10 off so it makes it more affordable plus free delivery with a wait of no mire than 2 days to my door. Great Companyl

Applaws grain free tuna in jelly is my cat's favourite meal. He has always enjoyed it and never leaves anything on the plate. I like it because it's grain free and doesn't upset his tummy. I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that it's not a complete food (taurine missing), so I have to make sure to feed Sooty a complete and nutritionally balanced variety of food each day as well.

Not any more

My cat has really gone off this product in the last several months. The tuna flesh is often dark and coarse in tough chunks and not such qood quality. Often my cat wouldn't even touch a freshly opened tin. She used to love it. I sometimes wonder whether the bulk packs of 24 use poorer quality fish.

Our cats love this, but there's a major catch
21 July 2021

Our three cats are crazy-picky eaters. We've tried literally dozens of different brands and types. Recently we purchased a few cans of Applaws brand to try. Our orange tabby went bonkers over the Natural Tuna Fillet with Shrimp. He's been eating one can per day ever since. BUT, there's a problem with that.It wasn't until our inquisitive daughter carefully read the label, that we learned this particular food is considered to be "supplemental" or "complimentary" to other complete, fully nutritional foods. It does NOT contain many nutrients that are essential to complete feline health, such as taurine. Then we started scrutinizing other Applaws food labels, and were quite surprised. Almost every Applaws food that our cats seem to really like are also "supplemental". ...Β MoreOur three cats are crazy-picky eaters. We've tried literally dozens of different brands and types. It does NOT contain many nutrients that are essential to complete feline health, such as taurine. Then we started scrutinizing other Applaws food labels, and were quite surprised. Almost every Applaws food that our cats seem to really like are also "supplemental". We're not sure why that would be the case unless other nutritional ingredients make complete foods much less tasty. So, we're still stuck having to find other complete food brands that they'll eat enough of to provide proper nutrition levels. Your cat(s) might also love the Applaws brand foods, but read labels before purchasing. The ones they love might not be providing nutrients they need.In our opinion, Applaws should make that MUCH easier to find on the labels. Oddly, it isn't on the front of the label where it should be. Here's a direct quote from the can, which is in teeny, tiny print and in a location you would never think to look: "This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only." That's a pretty important point to relegate to the back of the label in silly-small print.

Packed full of protein that the kitties love.
13 July 2019

As an addition to a supplemented diet, these Applaws entrees are loved by our kitties. They especially prefer this variety over the other options, with the chicken coming in a strong second behind. So many times when you open a can of wet food, there are a few clumps of protein floating in mostly gravy/sauce. Not only is that a waste of your money, but your kits are not getting their full nutrition, nor is their appetite satisfied either. There is nothing but shrimp and tuna and some rice in these cans. Not much gravy/sauce at all. These are not meant to be their only source of food though, as there are no added nutrients, vitamins, minerals etc.I feed other entrees by Weruva and Tiki Cat, along with Dr. Elsens dry food, so I know our kits are nutritionally ...Β MoreAs an addition to a supplemented diet, these Applaws entrees are loved by our kitties. Sends my fussy eater into a frenzy
16 May 2023

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟My 10 year old cat is a very picky eater & usually takes a few nibbles of her food & walks away. My Daughter recommended Applaws to me & it has changed my furby’s life. She eats about 70% of it straight up (I have never seen her do that before) then 10 mins later she goes back & cleans up the rest & starts asking for more. Definitely 5 stars from me.

So easy to open
8 February 2022

Applaws of course is in my opinion the best wet-cat-food brand, and contains no nasty additives. But the best feature of these pouches is that they are so easy to open, which is important to me when my arthritis is playing up in my hands and wrists - opening the ring-pull tins can be difficult for some of us, but these pouches open and pour easily into your cat's bowl. Tuna-mackerel is an especial favourite of my cat and she loves this version with jelly in the pouch. Same 70 g meal size as the tin.

Sooty loves Applaws grain-free
8 May 2023

Sooty loves the Applaws grain-free tuna pouches - no complaints from him.I would give more stars except for a few things - I would prefer recyclable tins rather than plastic pouches; the food isn't a complete food for cats and so I cannot feed Sooty with just that even though he loves it; lately the food has included some often tough chunks of dark tuna meat which aren't nice.

My fussy eater Storm usually walks away from her food & her Sister, Lunatic, who will eat anything ends up finishing it off. Probably why Luna is twice the size of Storm. Since putting Storm onto Applaws food in both cans & pouches she eats up every morsel in her bowl & licks the bowl clean, which is something I’ve never seen her do before. Even when I was buying cans of real tuna Storm would only eat a little of it & let Luna have the rest. She does not share her Applaws food with Luna.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for quality & affordability.
