I've been using the Apple 10.2-inch iPad 8th Gen for some time now, and it has proven to be a reliable and capable tablet. While it may not be the flashiest or most feature-packed device, it does many things well. Here's why I've given it a 4-star rating:Performance: The A12 Bionic chip inside this iPad provides snappy performance for most tasks. Apps load quickly, and multitasking is reasonably smooth, making it suitable for both work and entertainment.Retina Display: The 10.2-inch Retina display is sharp and vibrant, making video playback, web browsing, and reading a pleasure. It's great for media consumption and general use.Build Quality: Apple's build quality is second to none. The iPad 8th Gen feels solid and well-constructed, which gives it a premium ... It offers a robust app ecosystem and multitasking capabilities that make it a useful tool for productivity.Apple Pencil Support: If you're into note-taking or digital art, the Apple Pencil support is a significant advantage. It's precise and responsive, making it a great accessory for creative tasks.Battery Life: The battery life is impressive. It easily lasts a day with regular use, which is essential for a portable device like this. However, there are a few areas where the iPad 8th Gen falls short, leading to my 4-star rating:Design: While the design is iconic, it hasn't seen much change in years. The bezels are relatively large, making it look a bit outdated compared to some of Apple's other products.Camera Quality: The camera quality, both front and rear, is decent but not exceptional. It's fine for video calls and casual photography but falls short of the standards set by modern smartphones.Limited RAM: With only 3GB of RAM, it may struggle with more demanding apps or intense multitasking, which can be a drawback for power users.Storage: The base storage of 32GB can feel limiting, especially if you plan to use it for media storage or heavy app usage. Consider getting the higher storage model if you have the budget. In summary, the Apple 10.2-inch iPad 8th Gen is a solid tablet that delivers on most fronts. It's great for everyday tasks, media consumption, and light productivity. However, it falls just short of a perfect score due to its design staying somewhat stagnant, limited RAM, and the need for more base storage. If these aspects are not deal-breakers for you, it's an excellent choice for a reliable and capable tablet.

I love my iPad. This is the second one I've had, the first being an iPad mini about 7 years ago. This one is amazing despite it being one of the lower end models (I think). In other words, I just don't think it has all the bells and whistles you can get if you pay a bit more. but this is perfect for my needs; internet browsing, streaming tv/movies, games, social media, note taking, drawing, and I even got an Apple Pencil that makes some of those things much easier. My girlfriend appreciated this since she likes to sleep with the tv off and I don't, so I just popped in my headphones and put something on and she wasn't disturbed. both of us were happy. It's so convenient. Love this iPad!

I haven’t had trouble with the IPad yet. It was for my children to play Osmo. I also chose the iPad since I have an iPhone and don’t need to download an app to control their iPads. My son is 3 and has dropped the iPad several times before getting them their screen covers and cases. So far so good! The battery lasts pretty long in my opinion and when idle hardly ever drains the battery. My children can do a lot, they are gamers and play things like Roblox or different video games with cross play with my husband and I. It holds out for a pretty long time for intense gaming I don’t let them stay in long but when those days occur I think 4hrs with non stop play on it before it needs charging. I bought this as a present for my parents who use it for basic internet surfing and to FaceTime grandkids on a bigger screen rather than their iPhones. They seem to enjoy it and the 32 GB is fine for all they use it for. They don't do anything that would require any special features or upgraded capabilities for their needs. My dad will probably max out the storage with photos but he can always pay Apple $1 monthly for more storage once he gets to that point. After gifting this to my parents, I will probably buy one for my family next because the portability is really nice and something that I didn't really consider until after trying out my parent's gift. Myself and my parents are happy with the screen size as well, not too small and still light as the larger ... I love my iPad.10+ years after the iPad first came out I finally caved and bought my first one thanks to a black friday deal. I never really understood the point of iPads previously since I had an iPhone and a Macbook, what would I need an iPad for outside of just to load more shows/movies onto for a long flight to not exhaust my other devices' batteries? The main reason I actually bought this was because my firm's mobile apps required you to have a passcode on the mobile device and it is just SO annoying to have a passcode on my iPhone. However, now I love using my iPad now on a daily basis - to post up my recipes when cooking or watch shows in the bathroom while I am getting ready. Of course as well to check my work emails and not need to boot up my work ... Of course as well to check my work emails and not need to boot up my work computer at home.I will say there are some things I do not enjoy doing on my ipad - like typing. I will literally switch to the app on my phone if I need to type long messages out - BUT that is my fault for not buying a connecting keyboard. Taking pics on this iPad is also not good. I notice a HUGE difference in the quality of photos I take on my iPad vs my iPhone 11 Pro. This device's camera is NOT good compared to the latest iPhones, but I am not typically out and about trying to take pics with my iPad. Battery life is great! I also appreciate the auxiliary hole for regular headphones - again this is good for travelling. When you are travelling internationally on multiple flights with layovers, anyway to worry less about yet another device (airpods) to maintain charged is great. I like to use my airpods walking through the airport, but once I am settled into my airplane throne to cross the ocean, the old wired headphones work just fine and won't die midway through binging a series! For just a super casual user who wants this to just get on their favorite streaming apps or check emails, I don't think there is any reason to buy the higher end iPad models.
Apple products are pretty much worthless, without spending lots of money.....Everything you might think should be easy isn't. Just bought this for the "Facetime" to connect with my kids/grandchildren.....Great for that....but interfacing the memory, storage or anything with creating files or copying files, or connecting with any other device is a sick joke......The learning curve involves sitting on the phone with customer service as there is virtually nothing I could find about how to interface or load files, or such without getting online and then talking to customer service. The wonderful lady I spoke with was great and helped me through the processes ok, but you get nowhere without a credit card......No such with a PC or an Android, or any other format. Privacy ... The wonderful lady I spoke with was great and helped me through the processes ok, but you get nowhere without a credit card......No such with a PC or an Android, or any other format. Privacy is a joke on any internet related device, so I don't know how Apple can possibly guarantee that on this device either. The Ipad itself is good, The fingerprint ID thing was easy enough to do, to access the unit and what's in it....Tried out the Garage Band thing. It has possibilities, but it will take a while to find out the full potential of the program. To me, It's a bit worse than buying a smart TV, as Apple wants your soul and access to everything you do, see, say, download, and any/all information they can steal. And you have to agree with all of it to use the device.....It's a double/triple ripoff, like the operating systems now. You don't own anything you're renting everything but the device itself. There are some good software programs out there for professional pilots and musicians (I do both), so I'm exploring the limits of what this will do, but some of those are best used with the most expensive of Ipads with more memory, and a huge difference in price. This stuff is for rich folks that don't worry about bills. As far as useable productivity, I can do way more with Android/PC/etc....Personally I started building computers before there was a "windows" OS.....PC's and/or Macs, are a bit like toys, compared to a mainframe.....Overall it will be worth it to connect with my children, other than that, Big "IF".....
I LOVEEEE this iPad. First of all, the color choices were so good, I went with space gray and it’s the perfect gray, it literally goes with everything and it’s so metallic. I love that the iPad is more of a rectangle with round edges. They’ve really improved the iPads. I got so much gigabytes left over and I got this iPad about a year ago (and I have a lot of apps installed). This iPad is SOOO aesthetically pleasing and modern. The black border doesn’t take up space like my previous iPads did. The entire screen would just be the black border, but this one is just about 1cm! I’m so glad it brung a charger especially built for this iPad which is great because I don’t have to share my charger with my family to charge their iPhones! That’s probably one of my favorite ... That’s probably one of my favorite parts to this iPad. Another one has to be that there’s no button. It’s just the like modern iPhones that are coming out that you have to slide the bottom of the screen up to close your app. It has a lot of speakers so I never have problems hearing what’s coming out of the iPad. Also, since there’s no button you might be wondering how you do Touch ID. We’ll Touch ID is built into the power button, you just have to set it up in setting like every other iPhone. You just easily rest your finger on the cute little power button on the side of the iPad and you’re automatically in. If you like the old fashioned way, you can always just put your password in atomically. There’s much more that is great about this iPad that I can’t think of, but just know it’s worth it and just get it!
I got this for work to mimic what the client has. I have a 2021 12.9 iPad Pro (for work) and new iPad mini 6 for personal use so I have experience with iPads overall. I will say I was quite surprised by this iPad and its quality. I have used older versions of the iPad since it has been created but it has been many years since using this older style so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall use. The chip is not bad, 32GB for this version is bad! Definitely get the 9th version of this with 64 minimum. The non laminated screen isn't as noticeable as I thought it would be. I am screen snob, admittedly, and the non-lamination I thought would drive me nuts (that is where there is a bit of a gap between the glass and screen, but it isn't ... If you want a reasonably priced iPad and don't prefer the size of the mini, this is a great buy. It is quite capable, the screen is nice and the price is good. The bezels and button are older design wise, but honestly if you prefer a tablet for more moderate use cases this shouldn't be a deal breaker. I recommend.
I originally got this for school work. It did help a lot with school, the memory amount was good at the time and the battery life is great. The charger is very good which is necessary because the battery is very big. If you did not want to get the pro version, you do not lose out too much if you get this version instead. The only difference I can see is that some apps do not have full screen supported with this ipad. However, the ones that the average user would normally use like youtube, crunchyroll, and amazon prime do support the feature. Very good for the pricing, the new models give more memory and better ram for the same price but at the time is was very good.
The iPad 8 is an amazing addiction to your daily life, that I fell in love with. To start with, it’s a modern-looking device. It’s sleek and elegant, with a gorgeous premium feel to it. The design is very simple and typical for an Apple product. The device itself is quite easy in use, especially if own an iOS one before. If you like, you could invest in an Apple Pencil or an Smart Keyboard to even improve it more. Also the inside of that product is a good piece of work. It has a very big capacity that can fit all of your apps, photos and files. It can run very big apps easily and does not jam. There are over a million apps on the App Store specifically designed for the large display and power of iPad. I use it to do my school work and it has never let me down yet. ... It was very useful, especially during the time of pandemic, when everything was online. The screen is good quality too but to be honest, the camera doesn’t fit my expectations. Apart form that, the battery life last for a long time, but it doesn’t charge so quick as I would like it to. In the conclusion I really found it a well-built and daily use device. That both can be use for work and entertainment.
