Ive had this device for about a week so far and it has been a great experience. Firstly i should be transparent in the fact that this is a replacement of the ipad 10th generation I previously purchased. When i first went to the apple store I thought the devices were identical so I decided to save money and go with the Ipad 10. When I got home though the screen being delaminated was truely horrible. Everything looked terrible and you couldnt see the screens full capability. The device also has large bezels that really cheapens the experience. Once I decidee to take it back and move up to the air I see why so many people like the ipad screen. Its sharp and the resolution is great as well as the colors and brightness of the display. I’m currently writing this review on the additional Apple Smart Keyboard Folio attachment. It makes this device a pleasure to use. This is a great investment which I had made because I was looking for an upgrade from my iPad Mini 5th generation. It was showing its age but I was picking between the Air and the 6th generation Mini. I ultimately picked the Air due to a price match. The battery life is very reasonable, definitely upholding Apple’s advertised stats. The display is high resolution and has very suitable brightness for indoor use. I suspect the visibility wouldn’t hold up in bright sunlight, however, compared to the iPad Pros. The performance exhibited by the M1 is the main reason I chose this over the Mini, and I have no doubts that this tablet will ... MoreI’m currently writing this review on the additional Apple Smart Keyboard Folio attachment. I suspect the visibility wouldn’t hold up in bright sunlight, however, compared to the iPad Pros. The performance exhibited by the M1 is the main reason I chose this over the Mini, and I have no doubts that this tablet will continue to fly for years. Apps open quickly, browsing the internet is a breeze and the 8GB of RAM allow for multiple, responsible tabs. I have not tried gaming yet but the reviews which I have seen only had good things to say about performance.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase, although the speakers could be a bit better. They are stereo but are not as loud as I’d have hoped, and don’t have nearly as much clarity in the low-mid range as for instance my MacBook Pro speakers (which isn’t a fair comparison but worth mentioning).I’d recommend an additional keyboard attachment for this device if you’d like to have a much easier time typing. Currently, without either holding the tablet like I’m playing a game or tilting my neck uncomfortably low, typing is not the easiest on the tablet alone. You can likely find either an Apple keyboard on sale or an aftermarket brand with similar functionality, for a reasonable price.
This is easily a 5-star device. Im a power user so I got the fully decked out iPad air 4. I dont necesarily find the new one to be that significant of an upgrade so I went ahead and just grabbed the last gen model. Battery life is mediocore at best (for me anyways). I do a lot navigation, heavy gaming and photo editing. I expect 3-4 more years of software updates which is still pretty good. Screen is great (color wise) for editing photos in lightroom and gaming is also great thanks to the A14 chip. I play demanding games and I never see it struggle at all! Granted, it may not be as fast as the M1 like what the big name youtubers are bragging but it is still a very capable chip. About the unit itself, It has some scratches, especially around the charging port but ... MoreThis is easily a 5-star device. Im a power user so I got the fully decked out iPad air 4. I decided it was time to upgrade the old iPad Mini 4 which I purchased back in mid 2017. The IPM4 has been a great ownership experience so there was no doubt I was going to stay with Apple. This time I decided to go with a larger screen.Even though the iPad 5 was released in March 2022, I purchased the iPad Air 4th Gen a month later in April 2022. Great Purchase, love it, use it all the time. This was still a huge leap forward compared the old iPad Mini 4.The iPad Air is the sweet spot, because it has the better specs that I want, such as the anti-reflective coating and laminated display, and a few others, but it doesn't have all the extra specs and features I don't want or need, which the iPad Pro includes. After 10 years of using a Mac, I switched back to ... MoreI decided it was time to upgrade the old iPad Mini 4 which I purchased back in mid 2017. I know Samsung has improved as far as the length of time which they support and provide updates for their tablets, but after dealing with Samsung's customer support a few years ago regarding a previous Samsung Tablet, I won't make the same mistake twice. I'm sticking with iPads.Go with what works for you, it's as simple as that.

Excellent product. But most Apple products usually are. This was a game-changer for note-taking in school. With the Apple pencil, I was able to switch between hand-written and typed notes quickly. I downloaded an app to annotate PDFs and it was perfect for what I needed. For note-taking apps, Microsoft PowerPoint and OneNote worked for my lesson material (I was able to write on the professor's slides to annotate). I got a keyboard case to make typing easier because I'm not a fan of using the on-screen keyboard.A lot of people say that iPads can't replace desktops. And while for some programs that's true, I didn't find that to be the case for what I needed it for. Microsoft has cloud-based apps so I was able to either use that or the Google Suite. I bought the iPad Air 5 to upgrade from the iPad Pro 10.5, but it was not a good idea. I am a college student and let me tell you why I didn’t like it. The battery life of this iPad after using split screen with good notes and safari went down about 50% within 3 hours. I watched some YouTube videos and this model had the worst battery life of them all. I noticed and researched that the screen near the bottom heated up faster and hotter than other models with the new processor while using indoors. The Touch ID worked when it wanted. I took multiple Scans of my whole finger and used with dry/clean hands, but it still didn’t work every other time I tried to use it. The speed of loading web pages was just about equal when I compared the two. Things I did like was the ... MoreI bought the iPad Air 5 to upgrade from the iPad Pro 10.5, but it was not a good idea. Pros outweighed cons for me, so I returned and got a refurbished iPad Pro that I’m much happier with. You could also consider the 4th gen iPad Air 4! Hope this helps :)
