Apple 1m Cable (Lightning to USB)

I’ve purchased twice. The first time item came in an Apple box and was as expected. The second one I’m requesting to return due to being shipped an “extra”Charger that must have been found laying around, not contained in a box. Not labeled. If purchasing an Apple charger I expect it to be an Apple charger, otherwise I could have purchased a knockoff. Also don’t like that I have to contact the third party and can’t return to Walmart like most other items purchased through the Walmart app.

Genuine Apple ChargerThat Came Damaged

I received this cord and started using it recently. It seems to connect with my car and charge my phonebut only sometimes. My CarPlay kept restarting while I was driving because it wouldnt stay connected/charging. Also the connector piece that goes into the phone looks mangled and damaged, like its already breaking (which is what happened to my last cord and hence why I bought this one).

Not What It Seems

I bought this because I wanted a cable made by Apple. I've had problems with imitations. They stop working or in the worst cases are capable of affecting how your phone works. I was willing to pay extra for the Genuine product. This came in an Apple logo'd box with what appears to be Apple printed warranty/info. I have a QianLi Apollo Interstellar ONE and checked it. The product works but it's not a Genuine Apple product. They were very nice in refunding my purchase.

Not an Apple Lightning cable - generic knockoff!!

Not an Apple Lightning cable - generic knockoff.We purchased as Christmas gift under the premise we were receiving an official Apple charging cable. The cable is crafty and uses similar writing as Apple. The gift recepient showed us the difference. Now we feel fooled by the seller and foolish gifting a knockoff to someone who only trusts and uses official Apple cables due to a small fire started in the past from a generic cable.sharing our experience in hopes of protecting others.

Not lightning

I purchased this Apple Lightning Charging Cord to charge my 2021 Apple IPad because it’s supposed to work. My IPad came with the lightning to C cord and I wanted a lightning to USB to plug in my USB wall plugs at home. This cord works to charge but it’s not lightning speed it’s very slow. I’ve tested it and it’s a fail for me! Wednesday I was a 22% and charged it with this new cord and at 2 1/2 hours I was only at 86%, but Friday I was at 19% and I charged with my original lightning to C cord and at 1 hour and 10 minutes I was already at 87%. I don’t want to damage my battery so this cord is a waste for me.

On the first day...

When I plugged it in to charge, everything was great. It was actually charging pretty quickly. When I went to remove the cable, the wire broke away from the part that goes into the phone. The piece was temporarily stuck in my phone. I used tweezers and it popped out with no damage to the phone. I have it in a plastic sandwich bag and will be bringing it to the closest Staples store. I'm sure there won't be a problem returning it.

Really essential product

Our old charger for our iPhone had become a bit frayed, so I bought this. It fits perfectly with our apple plug and our iPhone to charge. It is essential and is a great product. Easy collection from John Lewis. I will be buying another one.

Says authentic, but....

I had bought two of these cords a few months ago, and was surprised they were authentic and so cheap. I had intermixed them with the couple of other cords I had, and a month or so later, some had stopped working. I wasn't quite sure which was which, and when I found more of these inexpensive replacements on eBay, I was very skeptical this time. When I first opened the bubble envelope, I began inspecting the boxes carefully. The boxes seemed legit, and they were sealed closed. However, the glue on the bottom of the boxes was a bit sloppy. I opened one of them, and compared it to one cable I identified as an older, but legit Apple cable. The details on the new cable were near identical, but there were very tiny differences. The feel of the covering, the sharpness of the corners, the flexibility... I am fairly sure these are very detailed knock-offs, and they're the ones that are failing. They work normally for about 3-4 weeks, then they will randomly not charge or charge very slowly. For the price, I guess I got what I paid for, but they are not a great deal, simply a con.

The new iPhones are coming with the wrong cable!!

This is a great generic charging cable for iPhones!!! It could be a bit longer but it works well!! I highly RECOMMEND THIS CABLE FOR CHARGING IN ANY CHARGING SYSTEM, but don’t forget the plug!! IF USING IN YOUR CAR ITS PREFECT!! I couldn’t believe they sent me a charging cable that wouldn’t work with the phone?? So I ordered 2 of these cables and 2 plugs!! Just could be a bit longer!

Worth it's value

My grandpa used to say you get what you pay, and he was right.I needed a cable for my car charger.I had previously bought 2 different non-apple cables. Neither of which worked. However, as soon as I plugged the apple cable into my car charger, everything was fine. The apple cable may cost more than it's cheaper rivals but it proved it's worth.Lesson learned.
