Apple 45W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter for MacBook Air - MD592B/B

The product was packed properly. Shipping was on time. Have been using the charger on my Mac book air, early 2012, 13 inch for the past 1 month. Works well. No issues with excess heating. The mag adapter fits correctly. Thank you lap gadgets, for offering a good alternative to the overpriced original apple accessories!

Mac Air Early 2015 - though a generic charger, it hasn't heated up itself or the battery side of the laptop. Even the charge sustains on the laptop. The delivery was fast with nice packaging. It is identical to the original one. Used it for more than 4-5 days now and with multiple charges in a day too. Can recommend. Also planning to buy batteries for mac air later on from these guys looking at this product and pricing.

Geniune part at good price.

I needed a replacement power adaptor for my MacBook Air as the original had gone missing. There were many non-branded, new cheaper versions available but I wanted a used, branded one, in good working order. Waited for one to come up within my price limit & made the purchase. All good so far.

Good charger for the price

The charger worked straight away with my MacBook Air. Though it's refurbished, new case and a wire were used so it does look like a new one. I've charged my laptop with it and it took exactly the same time it took the out of the box charger to do it so no doubt original parts were used to refurbish. The only thing I didn't like is that the charging light (orange led) is not that bright as it was on original charger and it contrasts with the green led indicating the charge is full. That's really the only reason I put 4 stars for the product. But hey, for that price getting original charger (which is the only best option for apple) is an amazing deal if you compare with anything else.

Item is non-genuine but works as described

Product is not a genuine Apple charger, and has very weak magnets. Was made aware of this by the fonts not staying the same even in the same work, the g in MagSafe was made using a font from the Pages app, with other elements using Gill Sans. Still cheap and doesn't immediately blow up upon being plugged in, If you are on an extremely tight budget then this is probably your only option. Evidence of bad typography on casing in picture.

Perfect replacement

We have a very old and trusty MacBook but the charger had stopped working. Rather than risk purchasing a non apple version I went for this. I do think it’s pricey for what it is but much cheaper than buying a new MacBook so I went with it. It works perfectly. Very happy.

The charger works fine and I recommend it

Nice high quality design. Nice choice of materials. Has a good dead weight. I previously had a cheap Qi charger, which always slipped off the table due to the weight of the cable. In addition, the charger was so slippery that the apple kept slipping under it, interrupting the charging process. You can see how much you can do wrong with such a supposedly banal product. This is not the case here.

This is not compatible with current MacBook Air

Despite the description saying its for later MacBook Airs note that it does not fit the current 2022 edition Air. Apparently for that you need a MagSafe 3 which John Lewis don't sell. I discovered this on a business trip to Latvia where I had to quickly find an Apple store to buy another one when I'd left the other one at home.

Wonderful

I don't normally leave many reviews. However I thought this might be useful for other Mac users. i have a MacBook Air mid 2013, as many apple charges do the wire was breaking and overheating so I needed to replace. The cost of an apple charger is extortionate so I thought I would take a chance not is one. It hasn't disappointed. Works perfectly, maybe slightly slower charge speed but not hugely noticeable. Very happy I took the chance with this item and saved my bank balance a little.
