The charging cables have previously lasted 5yrs, which is probably within the normal life of the unit. They typically fail at the computer 'pug' join. Some users get more than 5 yrs for a unit, and it would be nice if Apple stepped up the enforcement of the join at the plug.

It does the job, just frustrating Apple are more expensive with no generic brand substitute
I'm pretty happy with this charger. It's lot longer than the one you get when you get buy your laptop so I can use it a lot easier while it's plugged in. Its pretty bulking to store away though. I just wish I could also buy instore but this one was only available online in my area as only the major harvey norman stores stock them.
Cable is a good length and I like how the adapter will click out of the socket if tugged slightly or if it gets caught.
Full proof construction. Well packaged. I love the magnetic plug attachment, if someone accidentally snags the wire, it disconnects
The old charger died mid-game. Lets hope the new one lasts longer.
Does what it says only wish they would make the bit where it connects into the laptop a-bit more sturdier as on previous one it’s where it frays, very pricy but that’s what you get if you buy apple products
