These are a HUGE step down from the 2nd generation AirPods. The sound quality is worse because they only increased the loudness and quality of the bass and it makes the overall sound lower quality. It sounds hollow and deep, rather than the full sound of the previous generation. The earbuds themselves are an odd shape and hard to handle with a large bud but very short stem. They are much harder to handle putting in and out of the case. The controls were moved to the short stem, and are now impossible to press with only one finger, and over anything, like a hat or a hood. You need two fingers touching the stem directly, which often results in simply pulling the earbuds out when you're just trying to pause a song, or failing to trigger any action, because the area is ...Ā MoreThese are a HUGE step down from the 2nd generation AirPods. Conversely, because the controls are right where you need to handle the ear bud when removing them from your ear, you often trigger the button when handling the earbuds. The case is also a worse shape - being short and wide makes it very difficult to hold and open the case with one hand, especially compared to the ease of one-handed case opening of the 2nd generation. The earbuds also don't sit flush inside the case, making it even more awkward to handle. Their odd shape looks silly in the ear as well, sticking out further than before. It's 2023, and they still don't support standard Bluetooth protocols, like showing battery level when connected to non-Apple devices. I was really hoping these would simply be like the last generation but with the few shortcoming resolved, but I was wrong.

So these suck. Easily the worst design of any Apple product IMO. They barely fit in my ears, and the noise cancelling feature is a total joke. Every word of every conversation happening around me was constantly audible, and forget hearing when the phone reads texts to me because, yeah, couldn't hear those at all with any of the Siri voice options. They also have this weird spatial audio thing where the audio moves with your head position, which did nothing outside of make it feel like I had tinnitus or was listening with half my head dunked underwater. I know that they're designed to diminish the damage of loud noises on your eardrums / because whiny, sensitive people were scared by the volume of haptics and alerts on the original AirPods, but come on. Might as well go without, because anyone speaking at more than a casual mumble will be audible. Utter garbage for the price, and I'm glad someone stole mine out of my car (no, really) so I could justify going back to the Gen 2.

I like earbuds to be comfortable in a way that makes me forget that they're in my ears in the first place. My old 2nd gen AirPods do that for me. They are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever had, but I've had them for years and even accidentally ran them through the wash. They somehow survived, but the microphone stopped working. Basically, it was time for a replacement. The gen 3 AirPods were the first ones that came to mind. Yeah, the design is different, but I hoped they would be as comfortable as the 2nd gen. They weren't. I had to return them because they just don't fit in my ears. The left one kept feeling loose and it felt like both of them were pushing against my ears, so they were not comfortable for me. So I returned them and actually opted for a new pair of 2nd gen AirPods because I know that those fit me very well. I could have tried the pros, but the 3's and pros both already have a similar shape and design that I figured even with the silicone tips, it still wouldn't be super comfortable. The AirPods 3 are good earbuds, though. The sound quality is great, the spatial audio is really cool, and they might fit your ears, but they didn't for me.
I really would love to give a great review on these AirPods. When I first got them, I thought they were the best. I was amazed by the noise canceling capability of something so small. Unfortunately, the feelings towards these things didnāt last. Literally about a month after the warranty expired, one of the buds started making a horrendous hissing sound when noise canceling was enabled. The hissing noise was so loud that it was immediately kind of painful to wear. At this point, I decided to try to take the defective AirPod in and get it repaired/replaced. It was only one of them, and I assumed that they had to have a manufacturer defect because they never left my desk. These were used almost exclusively for my home office during the pandemic. It was only one of them, and I assumed that they had to have a manufacturer defect because they never left my desk. These were used almost exclusively for my home office during the pandemic. So I figured it would be replaced almost immediately upon inspection at an Apple Store. Unfortunately, that wasnāt the case. The replacement/repair cost was almost the cost of a new pair of AirPods. If I did go and get it replaced, I would not be able to get them under any kind of warranty through Apple. If the other one that wasnāt having any problems suddenly started doing the same thing, I would be completely out of luck. So no thank you on the repair. I decided to go another route for ear buds. Itās too bad though because they work pretty well otherwise. These things are too expensive to be considered a disposable item. Offer better support/repair options, or maybe offer a steep discount on trading in bad AirPods for brand new ones. Itās doesnāt seem very eco friendly of Apple to treat these things that disposable. Unfortunately, I really doubt that Apple will change their support options on these things.
As I already have several Apple devices, I decided to invest in AirPods. I didn't want to spend $250 on pros, so I decided to try out the 3rd generation AirPods. I have to say, I was very disappointed and ended up returning them only 2 days after purchasing. I think the biggest thing for me was the fact that they would not sit comfortably in my ears, no matter what I did. I specifically felt like the left one was prone to falling out, which is unacceptable for headphones that cost $130ish (I got them during a sale). Because they would not sit comfortably in my ears, I felt like the sound quality was not great too. In addition to sound and fit, I was also disappointed that the case for these was not MagSafe/ they couldn't be charged wirelessly. I am attempting to limit the amount of chargers I need for my devices, and this was just another disappointment. I did love some features (finger tapping to answer phone calls, pausing music/ videos when one AirPod is removed from the ear, etc.), this did not make up for the poor design choices. Overall, I was disappointed. Pros: Double-tap feature (to play, skip forward, answer phone calls), interfacing between devices, pausing feature Cons: Poor design causing AirPods to fall out, not a MagSafe case
I bought these as my 2019 Airpods mic stopped working and no one could hear me even though I could hear them perfectly, no good for work calls. They arrive beautifully packaged as per Apple products, the set up was seamless, took less than a minute to connect to my phone. They are a different shape to the older style and slightly bigger; I have tiny ears but luckily they fit well. I chose them over the Airpod Pro as I've used in ear headphones with the buds that you can use to fit different ear sizes and even the smallest ones don't fit properly. I haven't had a problem with these falling out.The sound quality is much improved on my old ones, I like bass! Fiddly to get in and out of the case and I've dropped them a couple of times already :( The case doesn't have the same feel of quality as my old one and there's a noticeable difference in the weight of it, basically the material feels a bit cheaper. I also don't really like the button to move tracks forward, pause play etc. as it's kind of on the inside of the Airpod stem and I think it's hard to click without knocking it out. I definitely prefer the old way of tapping the Airpod to move a track on.All in all though I'm happy, the were on offer when I bought them, I have working Airpods and the sound is great.
These wireless headphones are easy to connect to, and then you just take the out the case and you go on about your day, it's as easy as that. The 3rd generation also has noise cancelation which can be perfect when youāre in a noisy environment and need to focus on something, you can just put them on and boom. These headphones provide that wirelessly and with great audio. To add to how great these headphones are, they are sweat and water resistance. Great for working out or going on a run, when I go on runs these headphones wonāt fall off either, even with the sweat. The water resistance also gives it a little relief with the extra protection barrier just in case you get a little water on it. I love this product and I believe it is worth the price. I know many people would enjoy this product as much as I do.
For how I paid for this product I am extremely disappointed with Apple. Iāve used much cheaper earphones with a better experience. I decided to go for these because I thought I would get even better quality.Firstly, the design of the AirPod is too bulky/chunky (the part you insert in the ear) does not sit in my ear properly. It constantly almost falls off. Also, the battery life is fair.Ultimately, Iām appalled by the quality of this product, especially given the price. If you charge this much, at the very least, bring along the quality.
What is Apple AirPods 3rd generation. These are headphones that use engineering in every sense of the word. From developing design and management to developing high-quality sound. New technologies used in these headphones have increased their battery life and also speeded up the connection process. You no longer need to worry that they will run out at the most inopportune moment; their full charge lasts for the whole day. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and elaboration of the sound. These headphones, for their size, sound great, there is a lower mid range from 250 Hz (alas, due to their form factor there are no lower frequencies, but you can buy AirPods Pro), the mid frequencies from 800 Hz are also very well developed and up to 2 kHz, excellent high ...Ā MoreWhat is Apple AirPods 3rd generation. Because of this attention to detail, these headphones sound very competitive and there is a very small percentage of manufacturers on the market that can compete with them on price and sound quality. That's all I wanted to say.
