Apple Airpods (3rd Generation)
Updated design AirPods are lightweight and offer a contoured design. They sit at just the right angle for comfort and to better direct audio to your ear. The stem is 33 per cent shorter than AirPods (2nd generation) and includes a force sensor to easily control music and calls. Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking Sound is placed all around you to create an immersive, three-dimensional listening experience for music, TV shows and movies. Gyroscopes and accelerometers in AirPods work together to track your head movements — so it sounds like you’re in the centre of songs and scenes. ¹ Adaptive EQ Music is automatically tuned to suit the shape of your ear. Inward-facing microphones detect what you’re hearing, then adjust low- and mid-range frequencies to deliver the rich details in every song. Longer battery life AirPods have an extra hour of battery life compared with AirPods (2nd generation) for up to 6 hours of listening time² and up to 4 hours of talk time. ⁵ With just 5 minutes of charge, you’ll get around an hour of listening⁶ or talk time. ⁷ And with the MagSafe Charging Case, you can enjoy up to 30 hours of total listening time and charge with compatible MagSafe and wireless chargers. ⁸ Sweat and water resistant Both AirPods and the MagSafe Charging Case are rated IPX4 water resistant — so they’ll withstand anything from rain to heavy workouts. ³ Magical in every way Setup is effortless — pull them out of the case and they’re ready to use. Automatically switch between your Apple devices. In-ear detection knows the difference between your ear and other surfaces. Announce Notifications with Siri gives you the option to have Siri read your notifications through your AirPods. And with Audio Sharing, you and a friend can easily share a song or show between any two sets of AirPods.

Let's start with the positives:1. Very comfortable fit to the ear.You can easily engage in any active actions without fear that the headphones will fall out of your ear. Despite the fact that these are in-ear headphones, you get used to them quickly enough and they do not cause a feeling of discomfort.2. Sound quality.Apple was able to surprise with the presence of various modes in this model. If you want to be aware of everything that is happening around and at the same time listen to music, then the transparency mode just helps out. And vice versa, if you need to abstract from all the noise around you, then the "noise reduction mode" comes to the rescue. The sound quality itself, I think, is at a high level. Of course, it always matters what to compare with, but at this price point and with all the features that they have, I think it's worthy.3. AutonomyMy headphones, given that I actively use them, after a year and a half, they still hold their charge perfectly. Until now, there was no moment that they would just sit down with me, I always manage to control it. Considering that you see the battery status almost every time you connect to the phone. Now let's go through the cons, although they are not significant:1. Case body material.Everyone always wants something to remain in its original form and not scratched or erased. So this is not about them! If you vilify these headphones for a month without a case, the case will become nervously dull. Why nervously? Yes, because even just in an empty pocket they manage to get scratched. Therefore, I recommend wearing it in a case or just give it to customization and paint.2. There are 3 sizes of pads in total.I really wish that everyone could find the perfect overlay for themselves. Ear canals may differ, and fit is very important in AirPods Pro, otherwise there is simply no point in all modes. But there are only 3 sizes in the box, I had to order pads for them from third-party manufacturers. In general, something like this) I hope it was useful)

I went to a concert and got stuck in the rain which damaged my air pod pros. I decided that instead of replacing the pricey pros, I would try out the newer gen 3 AirPods. I read the reviews and really doubted them for a bunch of reasons like the fit, size, and lack of noise cancellation. If you don’t wanna read what I’m about to type then long story short, the gen 3 are better than the airpod pros. If you can live without noise cancellation then you’ll love these. They fit perfectly and don’t move at all for me. They don’t have that weird annoying feeling that the ear tips of the pros leave in your ear after you’ve had them in for a while. With my pros, I got about 4 hours only. I would have to constantly take them off and charge them so that they would last. With the Gen 3, I’ve had these on for exactly 3 hours and they’ve only lost 23 percent of its charge ! That’s incredible. These are awesome in my opinion and I would definitely recommend them.

I didn’t read reviews before purchasing, wish I had.If you care about quality some, these are truly not for you.Sound quality is mediocre at best. The spatial stereo needs a lot of improvement. Zero noise cancellation. Bass is awful. Case doesn’t hold a charge, even if you don’t use the headphones much. They do not sit securely in ear. Really disappointed in these. If they were $100, they’d be worth the price. As they are, I’d recommend buying refurbished for half the price. Sound quality is good and I love the redesign of functions - no more tapping on the earbud, now we can click them by pinching the stem. Connectivity is better, battery life is great & I have no complaints about how they work. That said, the fit is horrible. I’d give it 1 star — I actually found them a bit painful after extended use when I first upgraded. Thankfully, that has worn off. —The part that rests in the ear is too large & does not want to stay put. They fall out of my ears several times a day, and I readjust them frequently to prevent additional escape attempts. I am 5’ 5” and on the “dainty” side, but my 6’ tall partner agrees that the fit is much worse than the previous generation. This has been my experience during a relatively chill period of life ... They fall out of my ears several times a day, and I readjust them frequently to prevent additional escape attempts. I am 5’ 5” and on the “dainty” side, but my 6’ tall partner agrees that the fit is much worse than the previous generation. This has been my experience during a relatively chill period of life (literally, it’s winter) that has not seen much rigorous activity. I am not sure whether I will be able to use these once the weather warms up and I’m back to yard work & other more active outdoor pastimes. I don’t foresee them staying in my ears when I’m moving much more since they have issues already when I’m mostly just walking around inside the house. The bulbous nature of the ear piece not only negatively impacted the fit, it also makes them top heavy/harder to put back in their case. This is doubly unfortunate since I have to put them in their case more often — any time I the charging case or it falls off our couch/nightstand, the AirPods pop out of the case and launch themselves bouncing across our hardwood floors. This is WITH a silicone protective case on the charging case. Not once did I encounter that issue with the previous generation despite dropping that one much more frequently than I’d care to admit. All in all, they are an improvement upon previous generations, but they desperately need a redesign on the fit. If you have extra large ears, they might fit & you’ll have no issues. For me, the functions are great but the form needs significant overhaul.
Most Bluetooth earphones at this price point are just selling their brand name and not functional features that are actually worth the price. The last few years I’ve been buying mpow bluetooth headphones of which I switch between two so while one is charging the other I am using. Now that I broke down and purchased the new AirPod pros I am spoiled to what good sound, noise cancelling, spatial audio and connection can do for a person. I absolutely love being able to put these in my ears and being auto connected in a split second. The spatial audio is awesome when watching movies and tv, as well as the noise canceling feature. It’s so nice to be able to drown out my kids when they’re watching tv or just being loud and rambunctious. Did I mention that if while I’m ... It’s so nice to be able to drown out my kids when they’re watching tv or just being loud and rambunctious. Did I mention that if while I’m working around the house or just sitting and watching a show that when my headphone pops out for some reason(doesn’t happen often and it’s usually user error) that my show or music stops instantly and it turns back on when I pop it back in my ear. Battery life is ok, could be better. I can use them on full blast, noise cancellation the whole time ans they last for about a 3hr charge. I wish they lasted longer but I will say that they charge so quick. They were at 10% when I popped them back in their case and an hour later they were at full charge. They could have been at full charge before the hour, I just didn’t check. They are so easy to use that I could give them to my tech challenged 75yo mother and I’m pretty sure she’d have no issue using them.Granted I’m not an audiophile and don’t hear little nuances in sound when I listen to headphones/earphones so I don’t know how perfect these actually are but for someone who just enjoys watching shows and listening to podcasts or music then I have to say I love these airpods, they work, pretty much, flawlessly.
What I love: audio quality, spatial audio, head tracking, easy setup with multiple devices. Auto switching between devices and preferred device connection. Battery life is decent and if I need more since I use them so often I charge for a few minutes and I get another hour or more of use. What I tolerate: When I first got these they didn’t fit as well as the old wired headphones the iPhone came with. They are too bulbous to fit comfortably for everyone. I even had a sore ear after the first couple days. I was looking forward to upgrading from my two-year-old AirPods (2nd gen), to these newer flagship AirPods 3 — and yet I felt rather underwhelmed and disappointed by Apple. While these do sound slightly cleaner and a little bit more detailed with music and overall video playback. The AirPods 3 also have a very "cold/flat" sound profile, and at times sounds a bit harsh (particularly with the mids and highs of certain songs). I was surprised, as I rather enjoyed the AirPods 2 overall sound profile. My AirPods 2 sounded warmer, clear enough, and not overly aggressive. It's hard to explain, however the newer AirPods 3 sound hollow, vs. having a nice natural, full sound profile. I was disappointed. The fit is what many have spoken about with these AirPods. It's hard to explain, however the newer AirPods 3 sound hollow, vs. having a nice natural, full sound profile. I was disappointed. The fit is what many have spoken about with these AirPods. They are indeed slightly larger, everything about them is (even the case is a different size). While the AirPods 3 themselves fit my ears fine, they're definitely snugger (even to a fault). My AirPods 2 are not necessarily as snug fitting, they are lighter and felt more comfortable for me. Especially after using one with longer listening sessions. The AirPods 3 felt alright, but less comfortable after shorter listening sessions. You can start to feel them, after say 20 minutes of typical usage — which is frustrating as an avid music fan.Obviously having a MagSafe-compatible charging case is a big convenience, it's a clear advantage over my AirPods 2. I believe all earbuds over $60, should have wireless charging these days. While I wanted to love the AirPods 3, especially since they're considered to be the successor of the AirPods 2 — the AirPods 3 felt flat off my expectations and is honestly disappointing. Coming from my AirPods 2, I expected these to sound superiorly better, have a better fit, and of more convenient. Only the convenience of having wireless charging is the only win I see with these, and perhaps a sturdier build AirPods case. With all the hype these got a year or so ago, the AirPods 3 are pretty lackluster and were a major letdown for me. You're better off grabbing a pair of AirPods 2 (with wireless charging) on sale. Or just go for the new AirPods Pro 2, as they're way better valued and have everything one could ever need out of a pair of flagship earbuds. They also sound better, are more comfortable, have incredible ANC, have better battery life, and more. The AirPods 3 just don't cut it and is f poor value. These days, there are so many great options for decent earbuds that are of better value and far less expensive than the below-average AirPods 3.
I received a set of Airpods 3 that did not match the serial number on the box. The Airpods have a serial number on the case and the earbuds themselves. Those two matched. They did not match the serial number on the box. I am not impressed with this, as I assume I received fake Airpods from a scammer who did this return originally to Best Buy. I bought a pair of brand new Airpods 3 from a competitor of Best Buy and this is my review for real Airpods 3:I returned these too, unfortunately. The sound was INCREDIBLE compared to Airpods 2. But, unlike the Airpods 2, the Airpods 3 repeatedly fell out of my ears. The head of the earbud felt too large for my ear canal. It never felt secure. Once I did serious movement they would just straight up fall out of my ears. Made ... MoreI received a set of Airpods 3 that did not match the serial number on the box. The Airpods have a serial number on the case and the earbuds themselves. Those two matched. They did not match the serial number on the box. But, unlike the Airpods 2, the Airpods 3 repeatedly fell out of my ears. The head of the earbud felt too large for my ear canal. It never felt secure. Once I did serious movement they would just straight up fall out of my ears. Made worse with any moisture like minor sweat. The redesign is much worse than the Airpods 2 for my ears. The Airpods 2 fit perfectly in my ears and rarely fell out.
I’ve had these for about a year. I find they hurt my ears, they need the ear part about 5 mm slimmer. Has it goes into the ear it’s tolerable but slightly big. Where it’s seated at the top of the canal HURTS !!I haven’t had any issues with volume, those that have should check your settings if you set a db limit it affects the volume. I have mine set to 80 db and can hear it just fine, or maybe have your hearing check. Using earbud with a high volume can cause hearing loss.I find a full charge earbud & case will last me all day. The earbuds last about 8-9 hours before needing a charge when used as a hands free. I can watch videos & listen to music for 5-6 hours before having to recharge the buds. Its takes about 1/2 hour to full charge the buds for reuse. I ... MoreI’ve had these for about a year. I find they hurt my ears, they need the ear part about 5 mm slimmer. Its takes about 1/2 hour to full charge the buds for reuse. I recommend fully recharging the bud, partial charges don’t really last long, an 80% charge will last 2-3 hours. The longevity of the charge lasting decreases with each case recharge, but a case & buds recharged fully every night will give a full days use.The case is smaller & easier to carry, but I still worry about losing them as the case is very smooth & kinda slippery. It’s popped out of my purse, pockets & slipped out of the front pocket of my hoodie. It is a very durable case.I have dropped these in juice and found them 5 minutes later with no issues of any usability. I cleaned the case with water so it wasn’t sticky on the outside & a dry Qtip to clean the inside. They still work very well with no issues.Charging these are easy you can either plug them in or us a charging pad.I have lost these in the past and have been able to find them by using the FindMy app. I lost them today in the snow and although I can find a signal & track it to the snowbank, I can’t pinpoint the exact location and it never did in the past its a generalized area and that’s not helpful. I’ve tried it when I had my earbuds and it only ever indicated it was near, but not the exact location.I feel you should offer these in brightly colored cases to make them easier to find. A white case on the green grass is easy to find, but a white case in a snowbank is like looking for a needle in a haystack, NOT EASYThe display that pops up only does so when your first taking your earbuds out of the case & putting them in. If you want to see how much of a charge they have left you have to hunt to find it, or take both your earbuds out & put them back in the case. The pop-up display is very large, but you can’t have any of the drop down menus opened or it won’t show.I have hone over everything I can think of & I will let you all know if I find them in the snowbank or the melt & if they still work.I’m on the fence about recommending these. While I had them they worked well for me, BUT, the ease at which they can be lost, the inability of the FindMe app to pinpoint where they are, and the $180 price point make me hesitant to recommend them. I think the cons I mentioned should be address.
They suck. Won’t stay in ear because they are so fat. They are so fat they are hard to remove from case without seeing them pop out between your fingers. The control sucks squeezing the post will surely loosen any grip they have in your ear they should have just kept the tap control. Forget aftermarket slip on grips they disrupt the sound quality and won’t fit inside the case. And when taking phone calls the grip will loosen and the call quality becomes disrupted and pressing back in won’t correct the problems. A waste of cash. If I hadn’t ordered a Swarovski studded protective case I would’ve returned these. How’d these even pass focus group testing??? Also bought refurbished and they were pretty scratched up.
