Apple iPad 10 5g (2022) (64GB, Silver)
The Apple 10.9" iPad features the Retina display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution for crisp details and vivid colors, making it an ideal companion for watching movies, creating content, and much more. The Retina Display also has True Tone technology, which adjusts the display to the color temperature of the room so it's more comfortable for viewing in any light. Plus, a 12MP Ultra-Wide front camera delivers a huge boost in image quality and a wide 122° field of view. The iPad also features Center Stage, which automatically pans the camera to keep subjects in view. This is especially useful when other people join in because the camera detects them and smoothly zooms out to include them. Center Stage shines during video calls and it makes them feel more natural, and works in FaceTime as well as third-party video-calling apps. The A14 Bionic chip is more powerful than its predecessor, the A13 Bionic chip, and supports Neural Engine machine learning. Moreover, its Smart Connector offers Smart Keyboard support for comfortable typing, while its display is compatible with the 1st gen Apple Pencil, so users can write and draw. Equipped with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2, the iPad boasts a USB-C connector. The iPad also supports 5G NR Mobile Broadband, allowing you to connect from anywhere you get a signal from the carrier of your choice (data plans sold separately). This iPad is rated for up to 10 hours of use to keep you going throughout the day. It is available in Grade B and C.

I’ve had iPads for many years & have always given the 5-star rating on all units, but this one isn’t quite there. This particular unit is a 5-star upgrade with fun exterior colors, however in order to connect the 1st Generation Apple Pencil, you have to “purchase” an adapter since the unit charges with a USB-C & the Apple Pencil requires a lightening connection, making this a 3 or 4-star rating. So I had to pay another $10 or so for a tiny adapter which was backordered initially. When considering today’s technology, I’m surprised that Apple hasn’t come out with a unit that works with the 1st Generation “&” 2nd Generation Apple Pencil or at least include the 1st Generation Apple Pencil adapter in the box. It’s like taking a step backward using the old Pencil technology with an upgraded unit especially since the 2nd Generation Apple Pencil has been out for a while. Also if I were to purchase this unit, I need more than 64GB, but don’t need 256GB nor do I want to pay the much higher cost for it. Would be nice if Apple would also have the 128GB at a medium cost.

Before the launch of this product I predicted all the upgrades should equal out to about 100 dollars more from the 9th generation IPAD. I missed by 50 and I thought it was overpriced so I wasn’t going to purchase it for that amount. It is on sale now for 50 less so I purchased it. I am not a pencil person, PRO person or interested in trying to turn an IPad into a laptop replacement. It can’t and never will be able to. Apple can trick it out all they want. The software won’t allow it. I mainly do email, text, browse the Internet, pay my bills, do some shopping, and for movies and sports consumption. All that talk about not laminated or no anti reflective coating for me is hogwash. I got what I wanted: USB(and the fact that it’s usb 2.0 doesn’t bother me). All I do is ... All I do is transfer small movies and document files anyway. Upgraded screen to Liquid Retina is great for me. Don’t need P3 color. Stereo speakers in landscape mode is nice. Also putting the camera in landscape was nice. 5G is good and I really like the touch ID button being moved and the boarders being slimed down, makes it look more modern. Last of all my daughter gave me a 100 gift card that i put towards it so out of pocket for me was only 300!!!! Now you see why I am so happy with my new IPAD.

I have owned several iPads from previous generations for myself and my family. However, the 10th generation iPad is definitely improvement over the previous. I appreciate the iPad. Getting rid of the home button and incorporating fingerprint ID into the power button. I think that upgrading tech is pretty amazing and not sure how they did it in that little button. I found it very useful to use different fingers for the fingerprint ID depending how I was holding it. Great upgrade. The overall iPad size is the same but the increase in screen size is a great upgrade. In fact, that’s why I got this iPad which was due to my prior iPad home button getting stuck after 4 1/2 years of use.I find the speed and graphics to be improved as well and love how smooth the iPad functions between apps, and web surfing. To me, it was worth the extra expense for this iPad over the previous generations models. Overall highly recommend.
I walked in with a problem transferring data from my old iPad to the new one I purchased. No appointment. I was immediately helped, no hesitation as a walk in. I explained what I was there for and he began looking through settings etc. Less than 10 minutes later he was done and the iPad was working with all items installed and available! He was my hero for the day and as usual, a definite professional asset to your team. This is actually a great iPad! I like the size, the screen, the USB C charging port and the newly centered facing camera in landscape mode, which is outstanding for Zoom type meetings. Common complaints you hear about the screen and slow USB port are hugely overblown in my humble opinion. This iPad does everything I need it to do and does it well and beautifully. Don’t skimp on memory. I went for the 64 GB capacity model at first, then realized I needed more. Best Buy made it easy to return the 64 GB model and purchase a 256 GB model. Essentially an exchange. I went with the blue color and think it looks great. Highly recommend this model. If you want more, you can step up to an iPad Pro, but the cost to do so is HUGE. This is my first Apple anything...I absolutely love it!! I love the features and the security that comes with the brand. I only buy my electronics from best buy..way back since my PS3 days...so I had to grab it while it was on sale...I only trust best buy for my electronics and they did not disappoint. My ipad has a large screen and I am able to do so much with it. I chose the yellow ipad...it is such a pretty color....especially with my protector case! I had a Samsung tablet..but it was no ipad!! It looks like a great tablet. It certainly has a penchant for security. The first one would not accept any password attempted. It wound up shutting itself down and would not even allow Geek squad to reset it to factory settings.Geek Squad and Best Buy were able to get me a replacement about a week later. The second tablet is a great tablet too. It set-up just fine. I haven't figured out where the apps downloaded to, yet. The notification they have downloaded successfully was good to know. I'll have to get someone to help find the three programs though. Their icons cannot be found on any "page's" screen. It's otherwise a great tablet. Love this ipad! I am a college student so I didn’t need much, just something I could write my notes on, and watch a youtube video or two.Only “downside” is the pencil situation. Even though it’s a 2022 Ipad it takes the first generation pencil. Doesn’t sound like a big deal besides the fact this Ipad charges via USBC and the apple pencil is the standard apple thunderbolt. This was my first ipad in years so I had to buy a new pencil anyways, and the new pencils come with adapters- a USBC adapter and a Thunderbolt adapter. If you already have the apple pencil you will need to buy the usbc adapter to pair the pencil to the ipad, which i could be annoying. For those that don’t know how what it is; it’s a software program like power point.I learned how to use it through YouTube videos vs trial n error ( I don’t recommend this) i got frustrated guessing so I went to YouTube and after a few videos honestly, yes that quickly I created my first presentation using Keynotes. Now I prefer using Keynotes. So far I have seen that it comes with all apple products maybe going back a few years. If it does not you can download the app on your device ITS FREE.I had no idea about keynotes and it’s a really great feature. I’m extremely pleased with the tablet and now feel so confident presenting my work so professionally.
