Apple iPad Pro (12.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 128GB) - Space Grey

**Biased review Notes: To be completely transparent, I am mostly anti-Apple products. I believe most Apple products are so overpriced and lack customization. With that being said, please note that I am reviewing this pretty harshly. ▪︎Overall Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ / 5 ▪︎Tech level: Extremely comfortable with tech with heavy daily professional usage (Coding, IT, Design, Graphic Design, Marketing) ▪︎Overview: As stated above, I dislike most Apple products. I really wanted to hate this, and while I do hate some aspects of it, mainly lack of customization and underutilization of screen size, the overall experience was great. While it does still have some bugs and issues, it is vastly improved. Working on the iPad is much more enjoyable and so smooth. I use a lot of editing, graphic design, and office apps and most work amazingly well. The first generation iPad pro would heat up fairly quickly, which is why I returned it. I have not had any issues with this one. Overall, it is a really great product (as much as it pains me to say).▪︎Recommend? 100%

This device is totally out of this world. I upgraded from the iPad Pro 2016(1st gen) and the difference is overwhelming. Even with normal use(browsing and switching between apps) it’s blazing fast. I also have an iPhone 11 Pro Max but this feels even faster than that. Games like Fortnite and ARK literally run better on this than my console because of the ultra fast GPU and 120hz display(Fortnite on 120fps will blow your mind). I opted for the 11 inch model because my previous iPad which was a 12.9 was too heavy for carrying around, this is the perfect size in my opinion(Also much thinner). Speakers are twice as loud. Even after a lot of gaming, It easily runs a whole day on a full charge. I have been using the 30W usb-c charger that came with my MacBook Air and it ... MoreThis device is totally out of this world. I’m thinking about getting an Apple Pencil soon for college work. Guys if your thinking about getting this, don't think get it!. You're getting the best tablet if you prefer speed, multitasking and gaming. What a tremendous tablet this is. Haven’t found any flaws in it. Perfect tablet overall.

This is the one device I cannot go with out and use it for everything. I use for schooling entertainment and reading and my artwork. You can do it all if your a artist this tablet is perfect for creating digital media. I love this tablet the screen is beautiful and perfect size and the speakers are loud for a tablet. The battery is pretty awesome I have owned for over a year now and with a case and screen protector it has survived numerous falls. You really need to pick one up I promise you won’t regret it. Definitely recommend a 10 out of 10!!!

I have used an iPad Pro for years now, for artwork; starting with the first generation and eventually upgrading to this one. This one is way more slim and compact, less bulky then my former model. It’s super fast and does everything I need it to do, I use it for 2-7 hours a day and it keeps a charge unlike my old one. I have noticed the frame warp how ever; it so far hasn’t effected the iPad (knock on wood). I find it strange it has warped as it’s always in a protective case treated well. Definitely recommend getting apple care when buying such an expensive tablet.

A very good product that works very well and is the biggest model of the iPad Pro line. No problems in setting it up as I used my older and smaller iPad to do so; and I immediately upgraded it to the newest OS program available with no problems at all. I have not tried yet the 4G cell phone connection but in the area in which I live, we cannot get the newest 5G service anyway so this 4G should work and is sufficient for me. This largest 12.9-inch iPad Pro is excellent for all of us older people who need the bigger screen to see what is there; and it is also excellent for the readers and artists who use the Apple Pencil (1st Generation) who like to draw on it. I would recommend this largest iPad Pro to everyone for the above reasons.

The 2021 iPad Pro 12.9" with M1 is the premier tablet on the market. Smooth, fast, and beautiful. Apple made a few changes to the 2021 iPad Pro 12.9", most notably the inclusion of the M1 chip and the gorgeous XDR display. The M1 chip is a nice addition, but right now, it still feels like overkill. I switched to the M1 MacBook Pro in 2020 and the improvements were astounding. Those improvements don't really seem to have quite the same impact on the iPad, and that's mostly because it's still a victim to iPadOS. I don't imagine that Apple has any plans on allowing its iPads to run MacOS, due to cannibalization of the MacBook market, but iPadOS has its limitations. I do not think the iPad is ready to replace your laptop quite yet, but the power is there to do so. Apps ... MoreThe 2021 iPad Pro 12.9" with M1 is the premier tablet on the market. I do not think the iPad is ready to replace your laptop quite yet, but the power is there to do so. Apps do tend to pick back up where you left them off more quickly than in previous gens. The XDR display, overall, is pretty gorgeous. Streaming movies, TV shows, YouTube, etc. is really something else. It is a pretty nice and noticeable upgrade over the previous gen. With that said, the XDR display does also suffer from some moderate blooming effects, most notably when you have a bright white image or text displaying against deep black background. It's not terrible, but it is something to be aware of. The battery life is essentially identical to previous generations, and Apple reflects that in its specs. What additional battery life that might have been gained with the M1 chip was probably immediately sucked away with the inclusion of the XDR display. Battery life is totally fine, it's just not better. Is it worth upgrading? If your iPad is at the end of its life or you just really, really want the top-of-the-line tablet on the market, sure, it's a great option. If you have a previous gen iPad Pro and you're perfectly happy with the quality of the display, it probably isn't worth upgrading. At least not until they bring MacOS to the iPad...

This is my first ever tablet, I’ve been more of a manual artist but I’ve been wanting to work on procreate for very very long time. Whenever I use to watch any videos of other artists using Procreate, I always use to tell myself that I’m going to use this app and buy an IPad. It’s not a cheap tablet and I’m not someone who would spend money on something I won’t use. I wanted to make sure there are lot of features I would use other than a digital drawing software. IPad Pro 12.9” is such a beauty and it works fast without any jitters or lags. I always prefer wider bigger screens even on phones, so how could I compromise on my first-ever Ipad☺️? And especially when my main purpose was to draw in High Resolution. And especially when my main purpose was to draw in High Resolution. The good thing is, now I stream Netflix, Disney, and Apple TV and I don't watch regular TV anymore. Cameras are good quality but for this size, it's not practical to take pics on an iPad until your an interior designer or knows your going to use LiDAR. I wish I could use LIDAR Feature properly but I couldn’t make good use of it up till now. Picture and display quality is just phenomenal. I really do enjoy shows and films specifically with my AirPods Pro. It has noise cancellation and you can personalize your sound preferences. It makes your streaming and gaming experience 10 times better. It’s quite fast and great for taking notes, sharing everything really fast with Airdrop. One cool thing that I really like about this specific model is that Apple Pencil attaches to iPad sideways without inserting it like previous versions which reduces the risks of breaking it. Pencil’s grip is super strong. And the look and minimalist design feels great in hands. It is gorgeous and super chic.❤️❤️❤️👍🏻 It’s definitely a device Top of its chain, specially if your an artist and wants to try Procreate. It’s an investment and I’m seeing myself using it for quite sometime without upgrading for couple of years. I might invest in magic keyboard later on” not sure yet’ will see” 😏. I would definitely recommend,More than satisfied⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A perfect laptop replacement

Picked up this older version (4th gen) iPad Pro base model after I had previously purchased a M1 MacBook Air - it was a perfectly lovely device but I realized I was still doing most of my actual work (photography, writing, spreadsheets and other simple tasks) on my windows PC. The laptop was meant to be a mobile workstation I could take to clients, but working on the small screen after being used to 32" of 2160p screen estate was not going to happen. All I needed was a portable device that could be used to show a client documentation/photos, take notes and do correspondence tasks. MacBook Air was simply overkill for that, and it's much, much, MUCH easier to use an iPad for client demos and showing photos/text compared to a laptop. All I needed was a portable device that could be used to show a client documentation/photos, take notes and do correspondence tasks. MacBook Air was simply overkill for that, and it's much, much, MUCH easier to use an iPad for client demos and showing photos/text compared to a laptop. Thanks to Micro Center's generous return window during the holidays, I was able to return the MacBook Air and get this last remaining example of an older A12x powered iPad Pro. I don't need a M1 machine or huge amounts of storage to do my work, and this was $200 less for a gorgeous screen, 120hz refresh rate, and smaller/lighter than the Air. I could have gotten the freshest M1 iPad Air but the 12.9 screen is simply too good. It's the right proportion and size to be passable as a sheet of letter paper and that makes it remarkably easy to use as a delivery medium for images and text. The screens on MacBook Air/Pro etc. may be bigger but they don't do portrait orientation, and at nearly 100% the size of a sheet of paper it's the most seamless way to have a digital document workflow. The money I saved by not buying the latest M2 iPad Pro will go to a new Mac Studio (when the M2 version drops or when the M1max model is on sale) because iCloud integration is a total game changer for people who work across multiple sites, and doing it on PC is possible but kludgy at best.

Solid features and excellent performance

I'm a power user in the tech industry. Which means I will dive deeper into the specs on performance and capabilities, before buying. Everything matters to me and that adds the look, feel, function, reliability of the product itself and the company's history. Then, I take all of that information and project how long I'm likely to use the product, before I outgrow it. I purchased this iPad Pro 12.9, 4th Generation with 1 TB, WIFI + Cellular instead of waiting for the 5th Generation. Why? My research leads me to believe the only differences between the two tablets is updated marketing materials and changed names on a few internal components. Same car - different paint. If you find a 4th Gen that exceeds your needs and expectations for the next 1-5 yrs. - buy it - and ... MoreI'm a power user in the tech industry. I saved $400 now and will not be tempted to buy another tablet for a couple of years. This iPad has the right depth of features and performance for all college students (thru Ph.D) in all majors and all professionals. However, professionals should seriously consider adding Cellular to virtually guarantee reliable connection to the cloud and their organization. Lastly, YouTube videos showing how to use the features in iPads are easier to understand, than reading what I can write with words. Check them out too!

Works great!

I never regretted buying this Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2020) Wi-Fi 256GB - Space Gray. It’s big, powerful and sleek but it’s heavy like our Macbook Pro and it becomes heavier if you use the Apple Magic Keyboard for it. The keyboard is ideal if you just place it in one area. It works great and the pictures are so beautiful. The sound quality is superb, I’m inlove with it! It responds so fast although it has different controls from my iphone and sometimes I get mixed up but its fine. The battery also lasts long but if you have so many notifications like I do, it still eats up battery even if it sleeps with the case closed. Overall, I’m so happy with it! I highly recommend it!
