This Apple iPad Pro (2022) 12.9 inches 512GB WiFi + 5G Space Gray is even more powerful and faster than its predecessor. This is all thanks to the M2 chip that's also in the MacBook Pro (2021). You can smoothly run demanding programs like Adobe, and quickly switch between apps. Thanks to the WiFi 6E support, you can connect your iPad Pro to the fastest WiFi networks. The sharp, 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display refreshes 120 times per second, so animations look smoother than on other iPad models. This screen is also much brighter than that of the 11-inch model. On the 512GB storage, you have enough space for demanding programs, like reports and large design files. So you'll always have your most important files at hand. You can also hold video calls in high quality while you're on the go, because this iPad supports 5G. You do need a SIM card or eSIM with a 5G mobile data plan for this. The Apple Pencil 2 and Magic Keyboard aren't included by default, so but these separately.

I have used apple ipad 8th gen so far and it is a prefect shift and upgrade with the ipad Pro 11 inches 2022 model. The 128gb memory is just enough for me as a mild to moderate user and the features are immense within it. The display and the fluidity of the screen is something very special I have enjoyed on this ipad pro. Perfect size and weight to be hand-held. The face recognition has worked beautifully and the optiin of having more than 1 face recognition makes it a family use smooth. The sound from the device is adequate and clear for a hand-held device screen experience. The colour variants being only 2 options in this model is a small down side. Coupling the apple pencile with it as combo offers would improve the buy rate in my opinion.

Let's be honest - the iPad Pro 11" hasn't really functionally changed since this design was introduced in 2018. Even the introduction of the M1 processor last year was kind of moot because, other than a very few professional edge cases, no one was sitting there waiting for things to get done with the previous CPUs. And in that context, the 2022 upgrade to the M2 is probably the least impactful improvement of all.Don't get me wrong - the iPad Pro is hands down the best all purpose tablet on the market. If nothing but the best will do - look no further. Consider these questions:* Are you a consumer or a creator? If you plan to spend you time on this editing videos or photos, doing music production, or sitting at a desk doing writing and spreadsheets - then the larger model may be better for you. For a consumer (browsing the web, checking email and messages, streaming music and video, doing social media) the 11" is perfect.* Is this a go-everwhere device - something you want always with you in your briefcase or backpack - so you can use at a moment's notice? Get the 11". The 12.9" is for people who take the tablet to a desk or table and then do work on it for a period of time. You don't use the 12.9" model in your hand(s) - you put it down on a surface and either type or use the pen.I got the 11" because I can easily hold it in one hand and either use my fingers or the pen to move around. I can be standing in line at the coffee shop, or sitting in a meeting at the office. It is unobtrusive and does not look and feel like you are carrying a MacBook screen around in your hands. But whichever model you get, I think for most people I would reccomend looking for a good deal on the M1 iPad Pro, and taking the money you save and buy a Magic Keyboard - a ridiculously overpriced acessory, but it will double the capability of the tablet.

This is my 3rd IPad. I chose this model for a critical reason; the unlocked cell version contains the GPS electronics. I need this to use aviation moving maps . Having said this the IPad has a charging port which is separate. If you look on the back of the iPad there are three little dots. Those dots connect up to the very expensive IPAD key board and it can charge the internal battery without the wear and tear. Why do they not have a charging device which does not cost an arm and a leg? So that’s my complaint. Spend this kind of money and let a wearable part used every day which will eventually break. Are the designers brain dead? So the right to repair is something APPLE is Fighting. They reluctantly will supple parts but each part is coded to a particular serial number. I guess this is progress. So would I ever not buy an IPad? Nope in this day and time I cannot see me not being connected. I love the operation and the ease of use. Apple is fighting on another front not to have the iPad replace their equally great laptops. So they are careful not to let the systems overlap too much. So if you use apple products you will pay in more ways than one. I do believe they make superior products.

Thank you John Lewis for prompt delivery of my IPad Pro, my Magic Keyboard, my Apple Pencil. This was a gift from my loving Husband for which I Thank You. I would like to explore my artistic side as I would like to design ceramic garden pots. I am a ceramic artist and hope to use my iPad and Pencil and keyboard to do this. I am very pleased with learning to draw with my Apple Pencil and the colours are amazing. My IPad is so efficient and fast and I have a lot more to explore on my iPad, I also have a lot of storage too which is a massive difference when storing all my images.I am always happy with all my orders from John Lewis as I have an account. Underwhelming / overrated?

I bought the ipad pro 2022 with expectations to learn how to do digital art. I hear a lot of raving reviews about the Apple Appstore exclusive, procreate. There are however a lot of caveats about the apple pencil (I have the gen 2) that people don't often emphasize, which I'd like to highlight in my review since I also have the samsung tab s7+.The Apple Pencil Gen 2 and the iPad does NOT work well with glass screen protectors. I don't care what the product description says on screen protectors; they just suck -- it basically made my quick notes app worthless (every time I tried to write on it, it drew a connecting line from the top left of the screen to wherever i started to draw). I don't care what the product description says on screen protectors; they just suck -- it basically made my quick notes app worthless (every time I tried to write on it, it drew a connecting line from the top left of the screen to wherever i started to draw). I tried restarting, unpairing and repairing the pen, toggling bluetooth -- the only solution that worked was taking my screen protector off. I've seen reviews of using other types of screen protectors like Paperlike, which you'd have to understand will wear down your pencil nibs faster. My other gripe is that quite often the apple pencil doesn't register or do anything, I have to dock it again and undock it from the magnetic side. This may seem insignificant; however, it gets annoying when you have a case on (and why wouldn't you want a case, when you know you can't have a screen protector). I wish it would just simply work. This draws my point to the samsung tab s7+. That is a 2 year old device, and granted, I would say it was the first tablet samsung put out that I would say could compete with the ipads. And it does so quite well. Samsung's had experience with the stylus for many years ahead of apple (because Steve Jobs detested the idea of having a stylus). The functionality of the stylus on the samsung beats the apple pencil by a long shot. It also feels more comfortable to use; however, that's a personal preference that you'd have to try for yourself. For me, the apple pencil just slides around on the slipper glass surface and makes it hard to really control compared to the nicer feeling tip on the S pen. Again, preference. At the end of the day, you pick an iPad over a Samsung if you absolutely must have the Procreate app and value longevity of software support. I believe the S7+ will be supported through 2024, but the S8 and beyond are supposed to get longer product support cycles. The ipad is significantly more expensive and hard to justify.

Way too Powerful

The 11-inch M1 iPad Pro is an excellent tablet with loads of power and capability under the hood. It will easily handle and chew through any tablet-based program at the moment without any issue. The only thing that really holds back this device from being something that can do it all is the device's limitation to mobile apps only. On spec sheet, this tablet has more power under the hood when compared to the baseline M1 MacBook air and could potentially run MacOS and its applications. Sadly, it is limited to run programs that will almost never take advantage of the massive power it has under the hood. Another issue that I have with this device is that the battery life is very mediocre, it does not last as long as Apple claims it to be and drains extremely quickly ... MoreThe 11-inch M1 iPad Pro is an excellent tablet with loads of power and capability under the hood. What an improvement from my fifth generation iPad
4 November 2022

Coming from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. Also other things to get used to with new iOS, like when I swipe up from the bottom, the taskbar pops up first, when I’m used to minimizing the screen first. So you kind of have to continue swiping to shrink your browser window, or search through apps, not sure if I’m explaining that clearly, but when you swipe up to get all the open windows and apps, and you can flick them up to make them disappear, that’s the function I’m talking about. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. ... MoreComing from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. It looks bigger than my iPad fifth generation, but it doesn’t feel any heavier or harder to hold. I have not bought the keyboard for it, but I’m thinking about it as it is seems from online reviews kind of handy to not drag my laptop inside or further taking out my laptop, plugging it in, and going through all that when this is always charged and in my room. I can swipe through emails, search the web, check out YouTube, social media, real estate, all very easily, while lying in bed without any discomfort. I added a slim shell case, as I don’t like those other cases that cover and prop up, and feel bulky holding while sitting in bed, or on the couch. Battery also last twice as long as my four or five year old fifth-generation. A dislike is the power down feature , though, I think I can fix that in settings, and screenshot doesn’t feel natural either. It’s set up where I pinch the top button and top volume button meaning I have to grab the top corner together with fingers on both hands and doesn’t feel easy to do in hand and I have to rest the tablet on my stomach to hold pressure while pressing. Old method better and more secure using the two palms of my hand on two opposite ends of the tablet made it much easier to hold without feeling like the tablet is gonna fly out of my hand, or fall on the ground. Also the old method was easy, either horizontally or vertically. I guess I have to get used to it if I can’t fix it in settings, which I know there are a few settings like that which I need to explore. So I’ve heard it before, and now I agree, Apple needs to bring back the button!!!

It needs to be explained to them that in order to put the Ipad Pro 11 4th generation on a T mobile account you will need to be fully migrated to a T Mobile plan if for some reason your have a cheaper plan then the newer plans then the other option would be to purchase the 6th Generation IPad pro 12.9 inch with Cellular and it should work.We tested the IPad Pro 11 4th generation with a tmobile only slim card and the IPad pro 11 4th generation did work but it was for someone who has a straight T Mobile account and not a migrated account. When the 6 generation IPad pro was purchased I immediately called T Mobile to check to see if it was compatible and they immediately said that the device was compatible and I was able to put it on a new line and new slim card without a issue and then cancel my other line that had my old Ipad device. This allowed me to do a fresh start on the device then I restored the I cloud backup. But I checked the imei number through t mobile first this time before I added all of my stuff back on.So please make sure this is noted in bold letters on your website for this device so other people who are in a similar situation want buy the wrong one and have to spend a day trying to figure this out like I did. I will be working to add this possibly to one of your reviewsRemember: This device does work with a straight T Mobile account. This device will give you issues if you have a account that was mitigated from a Sprint to T Mobile. This review has nothing to do with Micro Center love this place and would recommend them to anyone. This is to help Formal sprint customers who want to upgrade their tablet to the new one and want to purchase it outright and add it to their existing account but dont know which one works if they have a migrated sprint account this took me from 11 am to 5 pm to get resolved so im going to help save other people time

it's Big! It's Heavy! Overkill for 95% of Users
10 March 2023

I must have at least 7-8 iPads over the years. I currently have 2 iPad Pros (2020/2021) and just purchased the 12.9 iPad Pro 2023 version (M2). I am not a designer but use the iPad Pro every day totaling at least 3-4 hours daily for emails, web browsing, reading, travel, etc.I figured, if the 11" works, why not go BIGGER? Well, I just discovered that the 12.9" iPad Pro is totally overkill for most users who don't actually use the pen feature or draw/design with it. In fact, I'm not sure who actually uses the pen feature daily but I'm sure they exist.Coupled with the Magic Keyboard, it's my iOS go-to for ease-of-use if I'm sitting at my desk or on a stable/flat surface. However, the size difference between the 11 and 12.9 is something to behold. In the past, I ... MoreI must have at least 7-8 iPads over the years. However, the size difference between the 11 and 12.9 is something to behold. In the past, I held the older iPad Pro with 1 hand in bed or reclining on my office couch (when taking a break). The 12.9" is HUGE and it becomes tiring after a while. It is really heavy when coupled with the Magic Keyboard to nearly unusable on your lap.I thought Stage Manager would help me with multitasking ala my Windows computers and 2-in-1 Surface Book. Nope. Stage Manager is still a "work in progress" and it's not worth the learning curve and tweaking. I tried it for a week and turned it off completely.Plus - I'm getting a bit older and I've increased the size of the icons and text without feeling that I've lost space. It seems to be more energy efficient. Not as warm as the 11" version. It's bright! I can use it with the Magic Keyboard as a shield and weapon.Con - Weight and the virtual keyboard is too spaced out for ease of use. The Magic Keyboard weighs more than the iPad Pro itself. Stage Manager is gimmicky and not worth it.Is the iPad Pro necessary? If you don't actively use the pen (which I own but rarely use) and you don't really need the brighter screen (which is too bright at night of all things), stick with the 11" iPad Pro. Your wrists and hands will thank you.
