I have used multiple tablets from both Apple and Samsung and each of my two my children have the previous version of the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. The previous version is amazing. This newest version is amazingly amazing in every way. The cameras are better. The interaction between the 2nd generation Apple pencil and the iPad is appreciably better. The display is beautiful. The speed is greater than imagined. Every function is instantaneous. The sound has both greater volume and higher quality. While still waiting for the separately ordered case to arrive, my cat slid it off a table and it survived a three-foot drop without even the slightest scratch. I know that laptops will always have an edge because they have more physical space for the installation of components. ... I haven't owned an Apple product in over 8 years, this would be my first. The learning curve on this was incredibly easy and intuitive. I'm not going to go into the tech specs because you can probably get all of that from every other review out there about the iPad Pro. But as an artist, I primarily got this so I could sketch or paint when I wasn't able to be near my desk setup and it's been a huge asset to my productivity. The response time on this while painting in Procreate while using the Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) is super snappy and crisp. My wife owns the 12" version, so I decided to go with this as it was easier on my wallet. Despite it being smaller, it's actually the perfect size for me. It's compact enough to take with me anywhere like a traditional 8x10 sized sketchbook without feeling like a huge burden, yet large enough to easily create art on without feeling like I need more realestate...And this is coming from someone who regularly uses a 24inch cintiq at work. The screen itself is gorgeous and the colors look fantastic and accurate. So far, I haven't run into any issues with storage, I tend to just upload to icloud or adobe cloud, so it's not much of a burden on my device. But if you're someone who has a ton of storage anxiety, then I would just spring for the larger capacity version. But if you're mostly using this to sketch on the fly, the 128GB version should be sufficient.I recommend this version for sure, especially if you're anything similar to me.

This is my 3rd IPad. I chose this model for a critical reason; the unlocked cell version contains the GPS electronics. I need this to use aviation moving maps . I also loaded up on internal memory for the same reason. I will say I was dissatisfied with the previous version as there are two items which will render the IPAD useless is a broken screen, not too bad because it is repairable and the USB charging port wearing out and was NOT REPAIRABLE! The older IPAD the usb was directly connected to the primary board and you might as well toss because it then could not be charged. The newer IPads have this circuit as a separate module. The older IPAD the usb was directly connected to the primary board and you might as well toss because it then could not be charged. The newer IPads have this circuit as a separate module. Having said this the IPad has a charging port which is separate. If you look on the back of the iPad there are three little dots. Those dots connect up to the very expensive IPAD key board and it can charge the internal battery without the wear and tear. Why do they not have a charging device which does not cost an arm and a leg? So that’s my complaint. Spend this kind of money and let a wearable part used every day which will eventually break. Are the designers brain dead? So the right to repair is something APPLE is Fighting. They reluctantly will supple parts but each part is coded to a particular serial number. I guess this is progress. So would I ever not buy an IPad? Nope in this day and time I cannot see me not being connected. I love the operation and the ease of use. Apple is fighting on another front not to have the iPad replace their equally great laptops. So they are careful not to let the systems overlap too much. So if you use apple products you will pay in more ways than one. I do believe they make superior products.
Looks and works as though it's brand-new. No cosmetic damage. The iPad appeared to be wiped clean and factory-reset, as expected. The seller even left their glass screen protector on the device (which had no scuffs or scratches) and sent 2 spare glass screen protectors that came in the kit that they purchased. Very easy process from final bid to receipt. Thank you! About the device itself: 11in M1 iPad Pro is very fast and snappy! Handles multitasking well, which is streamlined with the Stage Manager feature. It doesn't seem to pair well with my Intel MacBook Air (they just don't get along), but pairs quickly and seamlessly with my M1 Mac Mini, both in terms of file transfer and the Sidecar feature. The Apple Pencil can get finicky with some third party apps (understandable), but provides a major improvement in 'quality of life' when using the more popular apps. I definitely don't regret this purchase. Disclaimer: I have both a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite (*gasp*) and this iPad. I love both devices and still use both daily since I have to use Windows, Android, and Apple devices between my work requirements and at home. Having both makes navigating each ecosystem much easier, so no regrets!
From a performance perspective, the iPad M2 is the gold standard of processing heavy work loads, multi-tasking, rendering, etc. while still operating smoothly/without lag. That being said, for as powerful and as impressive the iPad is, iOS severely limits the utilization of such powerful hardware. Nearly every app for the iPad is optimized for a tablet aka tons of features that this iPad is clearly capable of handling are removed. They did recently release Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro to the iPad in their full versions which is a step in the right direction, but truth be told if you're purchasing for creative reasons, I'd use the money on a Macbook Pro (assuming you don't have one) to get the full capabilities from both a software and hardware front.Lastly, this ... It doesn't happen immediately, and still runs smoothly but Adobe is incapable of producing a software that is efficient considering this M2 can't even handle masking without having to dim the screen and throttle the CPU.
This is the best iPad I have owned and easily surpasses my name brand PC in speed, display, ease of use, multiplicity of function, new and improved software and all other areas important to my specific uses. This is my fourth iPad, I can see that I will no longer need a PC. Upgrading to this iPad Pro from my earlier iPad Pro has given me many improved and new features and functions. Starting with the display, the comparison with earlier iPAD Pros (and other family members’ iPads) including a newer iPad Air shows a huge improvement in colour, clarity and focus. Since much of my work is photography, this is critical to me. The speed of this iPas is superb, a quantum leap from my previous iPad and even more when compared to my PC. This Pro is an evolution from the previous model but with some revolutionary improvements such as the prior mentioned display. On the business end, I was easily able to load my business software and was up and running in minutes. Battery life is notably better. Connection with wifi is improved, especially in weak signal areas. I am finding new improvements and functions daily and continue to be impressed with even ordinary functions being better. Of course, the larger screen is fabulous.

Coming from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. Also other things to get used to with new iOS, like when I swipe up from the bottom, the taskbar pops up first, when I’m used to minimizing the screen first. So you kind of have to continue swiping to shrink your browser window, or search through apps, not sure if I’m explaining that clearly, but when you swipe up to get all the open windows and apps, and you can flick them up to make them disappear, that’s the function I’m talking about. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. ... I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. It looks bigger than my iPad fifth generation, but it doesn’t feel any heavier or harder to hold. I have not bought the keyboard for it, but I’m thinking about it as it is seems from online reviews kind of handy to not drag my laptop inside or further taking out my laptop, plugging it in, and going through all that when this is always charged and in my room. I can swipe through emails, search the web, check out YouTube, social media, real estate, all very easily, while lying in bed without any discomfort. I added a slim shell case, as I don’t like those other cases that cover and prop up, and feel bulky holding while sitting in bed, or on the couch. Battery also last twice as long as my four or five year old fifth-generation. A dislike is the power down feature , though, I think I can fix that in settings, and screenshot doesn’t feel natural either. It’s set up where I pinch the top button and top volume button meaning I have to grab the top corner together with fingers on both hands and doesn’t feel easy to do in hand and I have to rest the tablet on my stomach to hold pressure while pressing. Old method better and more secure using the two palms of my hand on two opposite ends of the tablet made it much easier to hold without feeling like the tablet is gonna fly out of my hand, or fall on the ground. Also the old method was easy, either horizontally or vertically. I guess I have to get used to it if I can’t fix it in settings, which I know there are a few settings like that which I need to explore. So I’ve heard it before, and now I agree, Apple needs to bring back the button!!!
I never thought I would have use for an iPad since I have my iPhone and Laptop. Then my son showed me his iPad and what he can do with it and I am hooked. Now I am spending a lot of time on the iPad, much less on the laptop and my iPhone.I like to take notes when I am reading technical articles and watching presentations. I have piles of notebooks. I can replace all of those notebooks with OneNote on the iPad where I can hand write the notes using Apple Pencil, organize the notes with OneNote and store in the Cloud. Now instead of having dozens of notebooks I have one iPad that I can take everywhere.OneNote on the iPad allows you to write and its translates into text. But if your writing is sloppy like mine, it can be quirky.I often download long technical articles which I can highlight and hand write comments using Adobe. I can store them on the iPad and/or in the cloud so they are available as long as I have the ipad with me. No more looking through physical files for and article I want to reread. The screen and image quality are amazing for watching TV and movies.I chose the iPad Pro 12.9" because of my heavy use as a notebook. I wanted to larger form factor. My son uses a smaller iPad and loves it.I had a small problem when I first got the iPad which was probably my fault. I reported the problem to Apple and they had a tech rep call me several times until he got me on the phone. He spent about a half hour explaining why I had the problem and answering other questions. The iPad Pro 12.9" is certainly not cheap. But you pay a premium price and get a premium product.
