Apple iPhone SE 5G (3rd Gen) Dual Sim (Nano-SIM+eSIM)/64GB Starlight (2022)

Well this is my first "iPhone" in a long long while. I had the 6 Plus when it came out and quickly turned over to Android afterwords. After the years kept on passing by the phone screens just kept getting larger and larger. Pretty soon people are going to be carrying around phones with screen sizes of 75 inch TV's. This particular phone has a screen size of 4.7 inches. In some worlds smaller is better. I'm not a fan of "smart" anything on a normal basis but since everyone in society insists on being sheep I'm now forced to live with this mess. Since I'm forced to live with tracking devices in my pocket and computers that are disguised as "phones" I want it to be as small as I can have it with as less on it as possible. I deleted pretty much every app this thing comes with with the exception of the ones you can't delete. I think I have a total of less than 10 apps total on this thing. Battery life on anything lasts as long as how often you keep your big dumb face shoved into it. Me? I can go two weeks without even having to think about charging. I'm not an addict. I make and receive phone calls like phones were intended to be made for. If you're someone who likes a smaller computer in your pocket this is for you. If I had it my way I'd still be using my 2006 Motorola Razr V3xx on a "3G" network. At least it was more like a phone rather than a computer. I gave this 5 stars just because of the size of the thing and because society/Apple wanted me to.

3rd gen Iphone SE is a great phone

Got this to replace my aging 1st generation SE that I purchased 5 years ago. Really pleased with the purchase, and refurbished saved lost of $$$ over new. Battery life is better on the new SE, screen is a fraction bigger but same small footprint. The phone is plenty fast with the new A15 chip. Its rated for 5G but where I live that service is spotty at best. Only got the 64GB version, but I don't use my phone for taking lots of photos or videos and I don't down load games or other memory hogs. Plus 64GB is double what my old SE had and I still had about 10GB open on that, so don't think that will be a problem. All in all really please with my purchase. My wife likes to hang onto things and is not one for unnecessary change, so when the battery of her iPhone 6 suddenly failed I looked for a more up-to-date replacement. This pre-owned device has provided a useful and workable replacement, and I am happy with the purchase. This iPhone SE 2020 is a good replacement. The size is the same as the iPhone 6, the battery life has a modest improvement, it fits her previous phone case although the camera lens is not in exactly the same place. There is also the improvement gained from a hardware upgrade. My wife does not push the technology so for her the upgrade appears as an improvement in run-time when looking at TicTok. This iPhone SE 2020 has a small physical size, so if you are looking for a 'phone' without a massive screen this is a good choice. The 'home' button is no longer a physical switch, it has a haptic system which simulates the 'click' and works quite well. Migrating from the old phone was a breeze thanks to Apple's tool which is intended to help you upgrade your phone. The thing you need to know, and I discovered this by trial and error, is that youmust put your SIM into the new phone before you start the migration otherwise things do not happen.

Be extremely cautious about this purchase!

I don’t know what happened when I made this purchase. In the end AT%26T servers said I stole the phone but paid for the activation. So between OSL and the manager they had to call to apply the discount off $100 something went horribly wrong. I was told that the phone would have to be returned to the store and I would be refunded for the purchase. Set everything up to have a supervisor from OSL and a Walmart store manager present for the return. OSL explained that Walmart had made the mistake in their purchasing process verification to AT%26T. Then explained why the whole amount was to be refunded. The Walmart manager walked me to customer service where I presented my receipt for a return. Walmart gave me hassles because they won’t update their POS system.

Not bad at first, but 1 year of daily use and it's completely failing in several areas.

I ordered this phone because my wife bought me Airpods and an Apple Watch, and I switched from Motorola phones because of that. I wanted things to work seamlessly. Well, at first the SE was pretty good. I don't have a complaint about the performance. It generally does what I need a smartphone to do, browse, download apps, light gaming. The problems crept up less than a year in to daily use. The battery life started dropping precipitously. Now, at about 15 months old, it is unusable. Literally charge it over night, do some light browsing, and half an hour later it's at 70%. By noon, it's in the red with little to no use. The apple lightning port is terrible. I'm going back to android and USB-C. I've cleaned and cleaned the lightning port to no avail. My previous phone, which id highly recommend, was a Moto G Stylus 5g and it's half the price of both these phones with a huge 6..8" screen, quad cameras with 48mp main, 256gb storage and its expandable, and a 5000mAh battery. If you want a flagship device for an awesome price and great specs, go with the Pixel 7. Budget phone? Motorola makes really good phones nowadays, and they're WAY better than any "A" series Samsung phones. But if you want a screen smaller than ones 9 years ago in 2014, with a fraction of the storage, ram,.and battery life, for the same price or more, get the iPhone SE 2022.

When I brought the phone home, my husband actually thought it was broken because the feedback made it feel as if something inside the phone had moved, as if some solder had come undone. Still, like key clicks or tactile feedback on a keyboard, others will not like it at all. Updated small form factor?

I’ve long been a fan of the small form factor iPhones so it really pains me to say that I think this phone is not worth your attention unless you are coming from a phone that 5+ years old.I was coming from an iPhone 12, the base model one, and this phone ships with updated hardware, yet even still it is noticeably slower and clunkier in operation than the older iPhone 12. I’m not saying it’s a bad phone, it’s not. It doesn’t what it’s meant to do very well especially for the size and price. solid phone. This is my 3rd. I ran the first one through the sanitizing cycle (long wash 140 degree water plus steam) in my LG front loader by mistake. When it came out it didn't work well even though I could still call the digitizer was a bit flakey. So I bought another I have been using that one for a year now. The old one was placed in a vacuum saver bag with a couple silica packs from some shoes I bought, then vacuum packed and set aside for 7 days. It was removed just after I set up the new phone and it worked. So I gave it to my granddaughter who has used it continuously for about a year. Absolutely no problems with either SE2022. Now my daughter just ran over her Iphone 6s with a forklift so this one is the replacement. Now we have three of these in the ... Moresolid phone. This is my 3rd. My granddaughter plays games and has good eyes so screen size is not an issue. There are no delays stops or grunts etc. It plays as good as anything I have seen even in ads. The camera is good for snaps. We use real cameras with real big lenses for real pictures. But this one is very good too. It just can't compare with a real camera. The camera software and multiple lenses are spectacular on some high priced phones but you still don't have the 35 or 70 mm photo chip. We like real and not manufactured photos. so.... The screen is easy to read, and there seems to be a lot of low signal reception so calls are not dropped that often. All in all at $250, it is hard tto go wrong given our experience with the washed unit, it does take a forklift to destroy it. I am still amazed the original works. I mean hot hot water, double wash, high speed spin and it still worked. Amazing..
