Apple iPod Classic 6th Generation 160 GB

I really wish Apple would be this product back with a few minor upgrades. As a stand alone music product this was perfect, I was able to upload my favorite music for my listening pleasure. I much rather have a single divide for my audios needs, and not using my phone for and all in one solution. Its battery life was perfect for a few days out in the woods hiking and off the grid. Apple bring it back!!!

A Top Quality Product That Packs A Punch!!!

What a quality gadget these "Classic iPods" really are. I've had two of these now, and the only reason why I bought this one is because I'd used my original classic iPod to death, and the battery had all but died, basically. It had lasted 8 years of Constant use, Constant Use!!! Wherever I went I always had it on. Plus, they hold up to about 40,000 songs apparently! So if you have a huge music collection you can't really beat these Classic iPod's for storage, they're just brilliant for that, brilliant. The battery holds VERY well also with these iPods, and the sound quality is awesome with a top pair of earphones!! The simple click-wheel design is also very good, dead easy to operate, you just use your thumb to scroll through the settings & press the selected ... MoreWhat a quality gadget these "Classic iPods" really are. It's a 10 out of 10 product in my opinion.

Awesome product

I’m old and not very up to date with all the new technology, so I like old stuff. I had a 5th generation that served me well over the many years and the thousands of miles that it did travelling around the world, until it finally fried its self. So I have been on the look out for it’s successor, and finally found this one on the web page. A hundred notes for 160gb. That’s a lot of tunes to keep me company whilst out on my bike. B grade, ok it’s not brand new, should expect a few scratches. My concern was the battery. Not being brand new, was I going to get an hour away from home, then the battery die on me? would I have to sing to myself, all the way home? NOPE (Lucky as I sound like a dying animal) Must have been out and about for a good 6 hours with it on constant ... MoreI’m old and not very up to date with all the new technology, so I like old stuff. Amazing product. VERY HAPPY

Better and cheaper than modern ipod's

Got one of these because I have very specific requirements that only old ipod classics and early versions of ipod touches have: podcasts playable and playlistable as if they were music. And lots of memory. This model has both of these qualities and more!It lacks a speaker like ipod touches (so will need to buy an external one for it if you want to use it this way), and the battery doesn't seem to have lived the best life, so will probably have to pay for a new one at some point, bringing the cost of this unit to around £150ish.Aside from that the unit is in pretty good condition. All buttons work well, and the only real damage is the metalic back being all scratched up, but this is an issue with pretty much all ipods, and doesn't affect function atall. A case fixes it completely. The hard drive is sometimes a little slow to start up and can make concerning noises, but I think this is normal for these older devices. The click wheel takes some getting used to compared to the touch screens i'm used to, and is quite a bit slower, especially when it comes to scrubbing through longer files (like podcasts and audiobooks) but it comes with the territory, in the same way that having to get up and change the disk comes with CD's and record players :)

Extremely disappointed

I recently purchased an old school iPod gen 6 from Cex to replace my 21st birthday present which has lasted me over 15 years without major issue until it recently gave up the ghost. But it gave me a good innings and, call me nostalgic, I wanted to replace it.I thought I would give CEX a try as they were recommended to me by a friend and after checking their reviews, I thought I would give them a go.Needless to say, I am not glad that I did as you can tell from my 1* review.Firstly, I requested a black model and received a grey one. But, I looked past that and thought beggars can’t be choosers with such an old model. However, again my hopes were dashed. My “refurbished” iPod has an equally bad battery life (if not worse!) than the 15 year old, brutally used ... MoreI recently purchased an old school iPod gen 6 from Cex to replace my 21st birthday present which has lasted me over 15 years without major issue until it recently gave up the ghost. Won’t be using CEX again.Extremely disappointed!

IPOD Classic great music player

I have had IPODs for over 15 years. this ipod is basically like the first ipod classic I have. I three other ipod classics. I needed a new one because I ran out of space on the other three. I have music playlists to put on the new one. I would rather use IPOD and use the phone for music..

Inside it's a tiny magical library.

I bought this iPod Classic 120gb from CEX to replace one which fell into water and was ruined. I like the iPod classic as a dedicated device so that I can listen to my favourite music and audibooks over and over again.I can even put movies on there if I want. It's great for travelling, especially when camping where there is no wifi, it's small, lightweight and compact. The battery lasts for ages per charge - a week in my case often enough - it's very effecient and economical, I tend to listen last thing at night and set the ipod to switch off after an hour. During the day I listen to it in the car,or around the house using an aux input and double ended cable jack. I do reccommend getting yourself a good cover to protect it though. I use one from Snugg which has saved my ipod from many a fall, alas not one into water like the last one.

Looked just like new!

I ordered the The Apple iPod Classic 6th Generation from CeX for my husband as his old one had stopped working. He couldn’t believe how good it looked and actually thought it was his old one refurbished! It was graded as B but it was immaculate and so far works perfectly. Could not be happier with advice and help from the staff in our local CeX store which gave us the confidence to order on line. Thank you so much.

Perfect Jukebox!

I bought my first Apple iPod Classic 160gb roughly twelve years ago and I have used it virtually every day in that time. It carries about 25,000 songs. After reading that Apple had stopped making them, as they weren't particularly selling that well after introducing their 'iPod Touch' model, and also that they were having difficulty getting the parts, I started to worry that mine would break down and I would have to purchase a smaller model that would only carry a quarter of my music.I looked into buying another iPod Classic model, but as they were now obsolete, the prices on the internet were absolutely ridiculous. So, a friend suggested "WeBuy.com". I bought a grade B iPod Classic 160gb (the same model as I already had), for £100 and I'm so glad I did. It arrived in a few days complete with lead, and on investigation apart from a few minor scratches on the rear, looks nearly brand new. Plugged it into my old MacBook loaded with iTunes and it worked perfectly.I now keep my old model in my house as a stereo and use my new iPod on the move, especially great in the morning on my commute into work. I would definitely recommend "WeBuy.com" for it's service and great value for money.

free beer with every purchase

gotta tell you, i love love love my ipod.i cancelled my tv licence cos i just couldn't stand the cr*p any more and needed something to fill the gap as well as helping me learn to play jazz, so i bought another ipod (i already have 2) to have playing in the background when i'm home. and it's great, apparent perfect condition, can't see any mars on it, no cosmetic damage, and once i'd charged it and reset it it happily swallowed up all 32,000+ songs from my itunes library. no complaints at all.delivery was pretty speedy too, it was delivered much quicker than i thought, to the point i thought it was a different parcel, but no, my luvverly 'previously enjoyed 160gb ipod. fab fab fab, thank you very much.
