The new MacBook Pro has many of the good qualities and functions weve come to expect from Apple products. There are also some exciting functions Ive not come across before, such as the Touch Bar. Im yet to try out all it has to offer but its looking great. I know its a quick way to switch between my personal and work accounts and a few easy adjustments to sound, light, etc, plus video controls, Siri, changing language for video. The Touch ID is so convenient and reliable. Ive tried with different fingers just to test it and not got in. Its sturdy, as expected from Apple and nice clean lines. Everything about Apple software is fab. Im sure there stress loads of features Ive not yet discovered. Something to look forward to.

My 2011 iMac was still kickin butt but with all the new software that is coming out plus os updates it had reached its end still good but couldn’t work in my studio with all the new equipment I have so the upgrade was needed. I didn’t need a monitor and I didn’t need accessories what I needed was some power and upgrade ability. I swapped the ram out and put in 32gb myself. If space is what you’re worried about it’s cheaper to buy an ssd external drive Apple charges so much to upgrade the internal drives. This is the best Mac mini you can get in my opinion - looks and performance wise. while I’m sure the m1 chip Mac mini’s work fine i wanted it to be more seasoned when i bought this system. I use this with a 34” gaming monitor and the picture still looks perfect. Also while i was messing around i plugged ina 3rd party keyboard and mouse (corsair) and they worked immediately with Mac OS. My buddy just bought a $2000 iMac for casual use and this Mac mini runs just as fast as his does. I also use a Corsair gaming headset on this Mac with no problems ICuE works good just fine on MacOS.

Right out of the box, it was really snappy. This model is still relevant if you plan to add memory without having to shell out too much money. Using this for software development and don't have to reinstall software tools. Will use it until the M series become more mature.

This computer is so compacted that it takes up almost no space and has worked out perfectly for our situation. Down side to this Mac though is the lack of USB ports but it does have lightning ports so with a converter or a hub you can increase the number of USB ports. One major concern I have is that the computer runs really hot.
