This is an awesome monitor and works very well. The bad news now, it is ridiculously expensive and yes, I know it is an Apple thing but it would have been nice if B&H offer something with this purchase. I purchase 2 others from Best Buy and would have made my third purchase there but they did not have anymore. At Best Buy I get discounts, extra items for free but not at B&H, BUT B&H had it in stock and shipped it right away. If they did not have it in stock I would have wait for one to come available at Best Buy. I love the monitor and I love B&H when I'm in a pinch.

The unit I received was defective. It had flickering horizontal lines the first time I powered it up. I did not want to ship it back to B&H and wait for an evaluation on whether to replace or repair(I'm in California), so I brought it to my local Apple store. The store would not exchange it, because I bought it somewhere else. The Apple store is now repairing it, under warranty. Parts they are replacing include the glass panel, logic board, speaker and other bits. I'm not sure if this thing fell off the truck or if Apple quality control is slipping.

Ever since cataract surgery in early 2,000, I have been bothered by glare making it difficult often impossible to read a computer screen. The nano screen solves the problem worth every penny of the 5 hundred dollar extra charge. Kudos to B and H representative who took the time to explain to me that this nano screen is not a computer but a display that can only be used with a computer placed behind it. In this way it works like a charm. I've been a Band H customer for about 50 years. The thoughtful, caring men and women of B and H never disappoint. Thank you so much!

I would have liked a 32 inch or ultra wide monitor but after months of research and having to return another, cheaper monitor, I finally decided to buy the Studio display. (open box). I wanted something that would seamlessly replace my iMac, except I wanted to be able to put it on a monitor arm, because I have a music desk and my iMac was causing me to get neck strain because it was sitting a bit too high. I am loving this display. It's really sharp and it just works perfectly with my MacBook Pro Max. The only thing I wish is that it offered one downstream thunderbolt port, becasue it would make it easier to just use one cable if you have other thunderbolt devices connected already. I hated to pay this much for a monitor to replace my old Dell 27. And then I plugged it in and started working. It's been two weeks and I'm still stunned at how good everything on this monitor looks. It's expensive and worth it.
The monitor is an Apple. With all that derives from this: quality, looks, stile. You have to be a lover of good and beautiful things to like it.
Just received the monitor and it seems fine, screen is not damaged, no dead pixels, though there is a small scratch on the stand which I can easily live with since I saved nearly $400. The monitor does come with a 6 month return policy, so I feel if this monitor was damaged internally, it will make it's presence within that time period.
I would only use this display with an Apple computer, as it has no Brightness or Contrast controls in the display itself. Other displays such as BENQ may be a better value. However, if you enjoy Apple branded products you will not be disappointed. I am using it on a Studio M1Max with an Apple 24" Cinema Display as a second monitor and they color calibrate very closely, with the Studio Display being significantly brighter with deeper blacks.

Product is consistent with the reviews seen online. Nice plug and play improvement over LG 5K Ultra Fine. Best in class build quality and packaging, camera is just OK, clear vibrant screen.
