It depends what you want. I think apple watches after my experience with this are a poor extension of your phone. The battery life on them is terrible (yes I adjusted the settings) this Apple Watch in particular would almost be dead before the end of the day. Especially if I used the GPS for a workout.Speaking of working out and over all health, I don’t believe this is the watch for that. I prefer a watch that monitors my heart rate and is visible on the watch face. Counts my steps and is visible on the watch face. And also monitors my sleep. Amazfit (my previous watch and more than half the price of this one) did more for me in terms of health and was very easy to use. If you don’t care about health and fitness then you probably could care less about this review. ... MoreIt depends what you want. This watch also doesn’t monitor PAI or at least I couldn’t figure it out.Watch faces are very limited and unimpressive. The information I like to see is limited and on these faces and they are boring. The texting feature on it is kinda tedious and not anything too spectacular. The call feature was pretty nice though I will admit. Being able to make a phone call from the watch was legit and you could answer also. The walki talki feature I can’t comment on because no one seemed to use theirs that I know.Over all, I’m not a fan and I’m gonna buy the Amazfit T-Rex with an 18 day battery life and does more for health monitoring. Again it depends what you want in a watch.

I love this machine. I work a demanding job in management and it is so nice having my Apple Watch alert me of texts, calls, notifications, etc. I'm always on call and it's very important to keep a pulse on messages from staff and my company. When clients are nearby it looks so much more professional to glance at my watch instead of drag out my phone. It synched many of my apps, all contacts, calendar, etc. I feel like a spy when I ask Siri from my watch to remind me of an engagement or to look something up, spell something out, etc. I do not have a data plan with it, but the extra $10 on my phone bill would be well worth it. Right now my phone needs to be within 30-40ft from my watch to get notifications, but it still functions perfectly as a watch without the phone ... MoreI love this machine. Right now my phone needs to be within 30-40ft from my watch to get notifications, but it still functions perfectly as a watch without the phone with many, many apps and features most tailored toward health and exercise. Even though it is comfortable, I do not currently sleep with it on, but I can't deny how handy it is to have your wake-up alarm on your wrist especially if the wake-up is a vibration instead of a jarring noise right away in the morning. I did a lot of research to what smart watch to buy. I decided to go with Apple because they have quality products built to last. I went with the smaller size watch because I have small wrists and don't need the larger screen. I love that you can change the display screen to whatever you want and the weather is handy to me with a flick of my wrist. I decided to go with the Series 3 because it had everything I needed and I'm very glad I went with the 3 instead of the 5. I thought I would like some of the 5's features but the 3 has everything I need at a reasonable cost! It is also very easy to change out bands and protective cases. You can have any color out there to match any outfit! Only downside so far is that it only keeps a charge for about 2 days, but charging it is very easy and fast. It has just become routine to charge my watch overnight just like my phone. This is a must-have in this virtual world!

One of the standout features of the Apple Watch is its health and fitness tracking capabilities. It accurately tracks my daily activity, including steps taken, calories burned, and even my heart rate. I also appreciate the various workout modes that are available, such as running, swimming, and yoga, which allow me to tailor my workouts to my specific needs. Another great feature of the Apple Watch is its integration with other Apple devices. I love being able to use Siri to send messages or make phone calls, and the ability to control my music directly from my wrist is incredibly convenient. I don't need the latest and greatest, or the EKG, or even the fall detection. What I really needed was a watch, that could work with my phone, fit my wrist, give me directions and work with my laptop. It's perfect. It works. If I can’t use my phone, I can still make calls through the watch. I bought this watch to replace a broken fitbit and I am so glad I did because it so perfectly pairs with my mac air, Iphone 13 and Ipad I own. I was surprised by friends that say they don't use many of the features on the watch because I am almost 40 (supposedly older people don't understand tech stuff) and I use so many features on this watch. I recommend you go online, download the instruction manual (over 300 pages) use the table of contents to skim what you don't think you'll ... In addition to all of the sport tracking features I love the little things, I can ping my phone (which I am always losing), I can silent my phone without taking it out of my purse, I can see who is calling me and send a short response without taking my phone out of my purse. I can quickly make it waterproof before I wash dishes or give the kids a bath and if I want I can wear it when I swim laps. I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Definitely recommend it!!!
not great for fitness. Died 2 times in my first day not to mention the night. What’s the point? How can I track my sleep properly if it can’t make it through the night or needs to charge all night.? even the heart rate monitor is useless during a workout ..”118 BPM 3 minutes ago” uhhh I need this info now?! Always changes the display to multi media player automatically so you cannot even quickly check your stats during a run Bc there’s literally an iPod screen in the way. And you may notice it’s easy to accidentally change songs. Seems like the calorie counter isn’t as accurate as a fit bit either. To make a long story short (well not really Bc it lasted a day which is pretty short) I’m returning it and getting another fit bit instead. If your buying it for fitness ... I’ve always wanted to get a smart watch but couldn’t decide if I wanted a Garmen, Apple Watch, Fitbit etc. I figured since I have an iPhone and I know apple products really well I’d go with an Apple Watch. I’ve never owned an Apple Watch before and wasn’t sure if I’d even like it that’s why I bought this one. This Watch was one of the best things I ever bought for myself! This little thing is capable of so much and is a great starter Watch for those wanting to try one! This thing can do everything my phone can do. This Watch connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth without draining any battery on your iPhone. This Watch will do anything a regular typical Watch can do (tell time, timer, stop watch, calculator) things like that! What I really love most about this Watch ... This Watch connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth without draining any battery on your iPhone. This Watch will do anything a regular typical Watch can do (tell time, timer, stop watch, calculator) things like that! What I really love most about this Watch is how I can get phone calls and text messages from it. For instance if I ever get a text message or phone call my watch will automatically vibrate my wrist and display the text or incoming call that way rather than my phone going off. Which is really handy and saves you the embarrassment if you’re in the office or in a movie. You can also text from it and call from it and the other person wouldn’t even know the difference! I can also monitor my heart rate and fitness goals on this and use it to calculate how many steps or miles I’ve walked or how many calories I burn. I’ve had this Watch for about 2 years now and have had no problems with it at all. As long as you take care of it it will sure take care of you! I personally think once you get the hang of how to use a smart watch you never want to go back to a regular watch because of how handy it is! Love this and highly recommend it to anyone!
When the apple watch first appeared on the shelves, I was very skeptical. I thought "What could that do that my phone couldn't?". And for the most part that is true, with the exception of using this for fitness purposes. But now that I've had it for a while, I can say that I use this so often. Not only is it convenient to answer texts, but I mainly use this so play music from Spotify, which you can download songs to if you have Spotify Premium. I find this much more practical since this watch can last 3 times longer than my phone can on any given day. I wake up at 6:00 am every morning and at 11:00pm, it is just hitting 50% battery. This thing is a trooper and this is an older model. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters I believe and has a feature to eject ... Comes default with the S/M watch band but also includes a M/L band for larger wrists that are comfortable on the wrist!
I originally got second series and then I started driving for UPS and realized it would be a lot easier if I didn’t have to carry my phone on me but could still answer the phone through my watch. I also like it to send text messages and track some of my workouts. I have a two-way walkie-talkie app downloaded and it’s a lot easier to use that than making phone calls and if you have a question you want to look up on the Internet you can just use the ask Siri and have it repeat it back to you through the watch. I’ve tried fitbit but I didn’t really like it. Apple just makes sense because I have Apple tablets, an iMac, multiple iPhones and iPods so I already know the program but I love it it’s very convenient makes my life a lot easier….
The Applewatch series 3 really is a great watch. I had a series 1 for 5 years and never had a problem. I ended up breaking it, otherwise Im sure it would still be going strong. So, I wanted a replacement. I really liked the 38mm size of the series 1 I had but after having the aluminum case with Ion-X Glass and seeing the wear and tear show over the years, I was after the same smaller form factor but in the stainless version with the sapphire this time around. If youre going to wear the same watch every day for 5+ years, spring for a case that has the sapphire screen. Wearing a screen and or bumper protector on your watch is an unneeded nuisance. If you upgrade every year or two save the money and get aluminum, otherwise go premium. Anyways, as I wanted the more ... MoreThe Applewatch series 3 really is a great watch. If youre going to wear the same watch every day for 5+ years, spring for a case that has the sapphire screen. Wearing a screen and or bumper protector on your watch is an unneeded nuisance. If you upgrade every year or two save the money and get aluminum, otherwise go premium. Anyways, as I wanted the more durable case materials, I was looking at an unreasonable purchase price for any of the newer series watches. Especially and obviously the series 7. After some careful consideration I concluded that the series 3 has everything and more than Ill ever need or use. Im not a fitness nut so the fitness features are more of a curiosity and frankly an annoyance at times and I turn them off. Then there are a menagerie of other apps and functions Ill not touch on the series 3 much less the 7. Additionally, I find the 3s screensize to be just fine. The SE was tempting with the series 4 size screen but without the better case materials, a no go. So ultimately, it was a choice between the series 3 or 4 in the stainless case. With there being, on average, a $50 difference between the two pre-owned, I didnt think the tiny bit of extra screen was worth it and opted for the 3. The fact that I liked and was so used to my series 1 certainly factored into that decision. So far its been a flawless experience with the 3. Faster than my old watch and now I have cellular which is unexpectedly handy. The premium case materials make the watch feel much more substantial and solid, less toy like. Although, I never felt that my series 1 felt toy like until I got this 3 in stainless to compare it to. After having the 3 off my wrist for some time I put it back on and it was cold! Not having the stainless before I hadnt experienced nor expected it but that just added to the premium feel. The 3 I purchased was listed as in very good condition and I cant find a scratch or mar on it. Looks brand new, top to bottom. I hope to get at least 5 years out of this one and I dont think getting a higher series and spending more money would be beneficial, for me at least. Unless youre a fitness or tech nut who has to have thenewest and greatest, this watch is a cutting edge and fantastic device for an incredible price. These types of watches were pure fiction just a few short years ago, dont get wrapped up in the marketing hype. Thanks for reading!
This is basically a tiny phone on your wrist that kind of records your steps and keeps you motivated throughout the day. I don't think the step tracking is terribly accurate, but it does a decent job of detecting when your heart rate is elevated to count toward your daily exercise goal. The watch uses a 3-ring system and gives you the goal of filling your ring each day. One ring is for activity, which is steps-based. One ring is for exercise, which is minutes-based and one ring is for standing, which is just standing for 1 minute in an hour. You can basically do anything with this watch on. You can even swim with it and there's a little button to eject any water that may get inside. You don't really have to take it off for anything. The watch is also supposed to record your sleep, but I'm not sure if that's a useful feature since the battery life only lasts about 18 hours (per apple) and you need to charge it nightly. The battery life is not great compared to other activity watches I've owned. Also, the band it comes with is silicone. It has 2 sizes of bands in the package, so you don't have to know which size will fit when ordering. I live in a hot climate, and sweat does accumulate under the band. Also, if you swim or do dishes or something, you'll have some residual moisture under there that can be irritating. The watch also doesn't come with a screen protector and it's an apple device, so I'm sure it'll scratch easily. I bought a cheap screen protector to go over it, no issues with functionality after that addition.Overall, it's a neat little device, but I wouldn't think this would be particularly useful for people looking to get really accurate metrics on their activity. Maybe I haven't discovered all of the features yet, but overall this is more of a novelty item than a fitness aid. You can use Siri on it, which is nice. Setting a timer by talking to your wrist feels very futuristic. That being said, I do wish it was a bit more customizable with more watch faces or different colors of activity circles or something like that.
