Love my Apple Watch! I bought it 3 years ago with birthday money and was the best birthday present ever! It's a bit bigger than watches I have had previously - but now I don't even notice the size, in fact I actually quite like the size. I haven't ever bought alternative bands for it but I like that there's the option to do so. You can also change the watch face design, including which complications (apps) you want on it. I love having a step/activity tracker on me all the time so I can monitor how much (or little) exercise and activity I'm doing. I have just started doing aqua aerobics classes and I can even track my calories during those because the watch is water-resistant. The only thing I don't love about it is the battery life. It generally lasts a day, to a day-and-a-half from one charge, depending on how much you're using it (things like workouts seem to drain the battery a bit more). It's not a dealbreaker for me but it would be nice to not have to charge it so often! Starting to feel like I want to upgrade to a newer version but to be honest, 3 years on and it's still working so well I don't think I need to just yet!

I've been an Apple devotee since the company came out with the iPhone back in 2007. I've had one of them ever since. I never could get into the whole iMac interface that my ex adored but I loved my iPhone and was very interested in getting an Apple Watch after awhile. I was given a series 4 Apple Watch by my ex. It is the smaller size but has more screen space than the larger version of the series 3. . . or so they say. These things just keep getting better, faster, and smaller over the years. I'm still pretty happy with my Apple Watch even though the company is now about to release a generation 8 version this fall. The one I have has cellular service so I can make/receive phone calls on it. I also can send texts, set alarms, check my heart rate/rhythm, check the weather, track workouts, play music (via Amazon Echo, Apple AirPods, my car, etc.), track sleep, etc. The thing I use it the most for is to read text messages that come in as I am driving, working, etc. and don't have immediate access to my phone. I can't say that an Apple Watch is an absolute must-have or a practical purchase but I definitely recommend it if you want one and can afford it. I know 2 people who have had serious heart conditions (atrial fibrillation) picked up by this watch. It also will call 911 if it detects a hard fall and you haven't moved in like a minute. I've always been very happy with this product and will buy a new one when this one finally dies.
I was gifted my Apple Watch for a birthday September 2019 and haven’t been without it since then. The biggest features I use on it are my apple Wallet - making it easy to go out and get things without needing my phone or bag with me or if my phone has died I can still use the wallet function even without cellular. Heart rate monitor - this one’s a big one for me as I have a heart condition called POTS and it helps me to realise when I’m having an exposed and I am able to change my environment and help myself before I get faint and fall over. This was the main reason we went with apple as their heart rate technology was superior to anyone else on the market at the time . Another great feature is the ability to control your music from your watch so if you’re connected ... MoreI was gifted my Apple Watch for a birthday September 2019 and haven’t been without it since then. This was the main reason we went with apple as their heart rate technology was superior to anyone else on the market at the time . Another great feature is the ability to control your music from your watch so if you’re connected to a Bluetooth speaker and your phone is on charge you can still access phone called texts ect and change songs / or the volume while doing things around the house or exercising at the gym. The one draw back I find with my watch is that it isn’t particularly pretty and going out in an evening dress with a tech watch feels a little awkward so I wish they had created more watch looking styles but that’s apple they do their own thing
I’ve always been stubborn about getting an expensive watch because the risk it has while wearing on getting broken is high. But! I finally caved. I was skeptical of getting a refurbished one, but it came like it has never been used. A very easy set up once I updated it, has a convenient sleep/ silent option if you don’t want the constant notifications. It also has let me be more in touch with my health in regards to my sleep, steps, heart rhythms, reminders for medications, and water intake. When accepting phone calls on the watch, no one can even tell you are using your watch to complete the call. My favorite feature about this watch is the phone ping option. When accepting phone calls on the watch, no one can even tell you are using your watch to complete the call. My favorite feature about this watch is the phone ping option. When I cannot find my phone, I just hit the ping option and my phone will make a sound! The downfall about this watch is that it isn’t waterproof, but probably for good reasons. Which is fine! As well as, the battery life is not as long as I expected it to be. If I wear it all night to track my sleep, it will be almost dead by morning time. If I wear at work, it will be almost dead when getting home. So you kind of have to pick one or the other.
This watch was listed as a factory refurbished. I thought this was fantastic as I totally trusted Zulily and have never had a problem with anything I have ever ordered. This was given as a Christmas present and when the recipient tried to active it he received a message "Apple Watch Locked to Owner". This watch was in fact not factory refurbished nor reset. We did take the watch to the Apple store and had proof of purchase from Zulily, they said there is NOTHING they can do as the original owner is the only one that can unlock it. We have no idea who that might be since it was purchased from Zulily. Lesson learned to never by electronic from Zulily now trying to deal with getting my money back and send this back to them to figure out.
I had a Fitbit Charge 2 and wanted more, I got this Apple Watch Series 4 and it did almost everything. Steps, Heart, Phone, Text, Time, date, you can choose weather music, you can customize it to whatever you want. The one thing that I didn't find that the Fitbit had, was real time step count. When I'm running on my treadmill I have to refresh the screen on the watch see the updated steps. On the Fitbit app I can sit my phone on the treadmill and see the steps change on each step. If that is the only downfall, I'm keeping my Apple Watch 100%. But when I run, I wear my Apple Watch & my Fitbit, after running I put my Fitbit in my pocket to keep accumulating my steps on it. I've been using the Fitbit since 2014 and have over 21,000 miles on it so I'm using both.
I bought this item as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old who really wanted an Apple watch. I didn't think he was responsible enough to purchase him a brand new one. He absolutely loves it!!! The watch works great as it should. I would say that it had a bunch of scratches on it, I'm assuming from wear and tear. I put a cover on it and it is barely even noticeable. I was a little jealous of my son because his watch is bigger than mine with the 44mm display. Overall I would recommend this item for someone who is wanting an Apple watch but doesn't want to pay the full price. And the shipping was super fast as well.
