Poor design!!! Who designed this?! I don’t see any reason to change packaging (no benefit at all) and increase the price ! Very uncomfortable to use spoon to measure and i agree other reviews!
Absolutely great milk
I got sucked into the marketing but once my brain fog from lack of sleep lifted I took the time to compare Aptamil 1 I initially gave my baby to the Advanced version. There is minimal/negligible difference of ingredient values/levels.The main difference I can see from the ingredients list are Advanced does not use Palm Oil and has higher levels of Taurine. In terms of potential allergens both contain cow's milk (lactose), fish oil (good source of omega-3 and Taurine babies need for brain and nerve development); Aptamil 1 however has soy as a potential allergen.Legally in the UK all baby formula has to be 'nutritionally complete'. So any formula sold in the UK has everything baby needs. It really comes down to which one baby is happy to have and can digest without issues. The Advance tin design does make it easier to scoop formula and store the spoon.Considering my baby was happy with the regular version I'll be going back to it.
Cannot fit your hand in once the powder reaches halfway down the tub. Can’t angle your hand to use the leveller with the scoop. Scoop doesn’t click easily back into lid. Recycling collection would not accept the tubs and cannot separate lid from main body of tub. Who on earth designed this? Absolutely ridiculous and impractical, not fit for purpose.
The new tubs are ridiculous, you can’t fit your hand in properly when you get to the end of the tub, you can’t carry the tub in one hand so it’s not convenient in the slightest, the only reason I buy this is because my son won’t take any other formula but the fact aptamil ruined the old packaging and then had the cheek to put the price up. NOT worth the money.. if your baby will drink anything then do not use this milk.
I'm a paediatric dietitian and initially fell for the marketing here with my daughter who was just born last week. Really disappointed that with a few more hours sleep in me to read that there's virtually nothing to this formula that differentiates it, even for it's £16 price! Will be using up the rest of this can and moving over to another brand.
