Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor T1

This Temperature and Humidity sensor is AMAZING! It took approximately 5 minutes to set up, including the install of the Aqara app. I installed this with the provided sticker in my garage and now it tells me in real time what the temperature, humidity and pressure is. The coolest part? I set up an alert to warn me when the humidity exceeds 63% so I can turn my dehumidifier on. Awesome contraption!

I received these two promotional items in exchange for my opinion. First of all, I'm impressed by the size and performance of the temperature and humidity sensor, Aqara also sent a hub to connect it and both of then were super easy to instal, the aqara app is very intuitive and hassle free, I was able to connect both devices into the app in less than one minute each. At first I was intimidated by the little instruction booklets but navigating the app made things flow smoothly and without any problem. This sensor was simple and easy to install and connect to my home WiFi. It included a home hub that is powered by USB and the sensor itself is powered by battery. It is really small, almost unnoticeable. It only took seconds to read the temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. The readings were pretty accurate and close to my air conditioner thermostat. Overall, it is a nice small sensor that provides accurate temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure readings.

Did not work for me, maybe it needs a hub

Upon ordering this unit for monitoring the humidity and temperature levels I finally decided this more than likely needs some sort of hub or home base to operate from. I installed the app and selected the proper device and it did not work. Maybe I selected the wrong device from the app but there were no others to choose from. I will look into this further and contact the company to see what else I will need. The size is very small so it can be set someplace inconspicuous and out of site. I hope to get this working.

Great little temperature, humidity, air pressure puck

This is a great little temperature, humidity, air pressure puck. Measure about an inch square and can be stuck almost anywhere with the two sided disk that comes in the box. It works well with the native aqara app and updates readings often. You do need some type of hub to make this work. The Aqara hubs are very reasonably priced. I am going to see how reliable this device is and if it works reliably I will buy more for other areas that need temperature monitoring such as my greenhouse and back porch. The instructions state notto use outside but I currently am and do not see a problem as long as you keep it out of the rain and other weather.

More comfortable throughout our home!

This, Temperature and Humidity Sensor T1 - Work with SamSung SmartThings Natively no AqaraHub Required, Matter Support, Alarm, performs as described. We were in need of a sensor in our lowers living areas. The benefit is we’re able to keep the temperature close to what is comfortable all over our home, now. We noticed an immediate improvement once we installed it. The installation we pretty simple and the instructions were easy to follow. We’re glad we added this sensor to our automated system!

Not a Bad little sensor

This Sensor is tiny. Not much bigger than a penny. Works without a hub? Maybe without Aqara Hub, but still needs some sort of "hub" to actually work it. If you have some sort of hub, you should be able to connect to it and get it to work. Once connected, it works great at automation. Showing Temp, Humidity and Atmospheric pressure. Uses the Zigbee Wireless protocols, So any hub with those properties. Not sure how long the battery will last but it takes a CR2032 so its easy to change. Placed this in a grow tent with fail. Love it and will buy again.

Not worth the effort

I was really excited to order the Aqara Temp and Humidity Sensor T1. According to the box I needed a Zigbee hub to communicate with my Alexa, otherwise it would work with Samsung SmartThings natively without the need for a AqaraHub. I discovered the included 57 page booklet as worthless. With only 7 pages per language, it did mention needing both the Aqara Home app and the Aqara hub. No link was provided, but after a search I was able to add the app to my phone only to get the message that I needed to add the Aqara Hub M1S. I then tried using the Samsung SmartThings app and it stated the need for a hub before connecting.I can not recommend this device as it is not natively supported by Samsung SmartThings or by the AqaraHome app. None of this is noted on the box. ... MoreI was really excited to order the Aqara Temp and Humidity Sensor T1. What a disappointment to get a product only to discover after opening it, that another product is needed before it can be used. And that none of this is stated on the product box. I’ll stick to my Acu-Rite temp and humidity sensor that requires only eyes to read the display.

Small footprint

Such a small footprint but so convenient and useful. Easy to install and operate with the app but will not work without the hub sold separately. Feedback via the app for temperature humidity and pressure. Set it and forget it. Simply pull the strips off face and side of sensor and pull the battery tab to activate. Then hold down small button on top to connect to you network and follow prompts on app.
