Bought the Delta LT as a standalone piece and its a bit thinner and tighter than anticipated. I did not return it as it will serve its new purpose as my mid layer under my Beta AR. When needed for Maine winters part of my laying system. However I'm more of an athletic build and ALL other Arc pieces in an XL fit me with perfection, this was the fist piece purchased that ran tight on me. Again not a problem as part of my layering system however I will not wear this on its own. Its superior quality and I love the zippers easy to utilize even with gloves due to the pulls. Overall happy with the purchase just a bit thinner and tighter than anticipated.

This is an excellent layering piece with a grid fleece that retains warmth well. It is useful in cold winters as a mid layer under a down jacket (or one of two mid layers). I would imagine it can be useful in the fall and spring seasons also, as it is very thin, which might be a con for some.The fit is true to size but slightly on the longer side, it has long sleeves with thumb loops.My only complaints are the lack of front hand pockets, but there is a small chest pocket. Just like the hooded version (delta MX) that was available last year, this is a slim-fitting fleece with room around the chest but slim around the waist. Articulated pretty well for overhead reach. The sleeves are long enough to use the thumb loop without tugging. The hem isn't too long and has a generously sized chest pocket.There are a few minor differences to the delta MX:- No drop hem, while the MX has a 2-3 cm drop hem.- Fabric is a little thinner, which is a bummer for me.- Thumb loops are hidden and horizontally vs the expose and vertically cut in the MX.If you want a hoodless version of the Delta MX because layering with too many hoods is a hassle, this is a great piece.For reference, I am 175 cm with a 106 cm chest and 83 cm waist.

Hopefully this review will help some of you in a similar position.- Now that I’ve had a chance to use the Delta LT through shoulder season and recently in cold, snowy weather in Montana, this is my take from an “R1 perspective." The Delta LT is, without a doubt, perceptually half the weight of an R1. It is absolutely not as warm as an R1 and not surprisingly warm for its weight. Rather, it is exactly as warm as its weight would suggest. It fits slightly more relaxed than an R1 (it is a “regular” fit after all). I wear medium in both (5’11”, 150 lbs., 38” chest, 32” waist).- The gridding is reversed between the two pieces of kit, with the gridded pattern on the interior of the R1 and exterior of the Delta LT. Perceptually, beyond being a heavier weight fleece, the interior gridding also appears to contribute to the R1’s ability to trap more heat. Regardless, both handle moisture exceptionally well.- In the end, for shoulder season, I have found the Delta LT to be the more useful and adaptable piece of kit over the R1, specifically because it traps less heat when on the move with or without a shell. In fact, I can’t imagine a fleece trapping *less* heat than the Delta LT, but this light weight actually fills a nice niche. It is extremely comfortable and I’m now considering buying the full-zip version in another color. To me, this is not an R1 replacement but I could see how someone might decide to use it in this way by adapting layers accordingly. Personally, I will keep using the R1 for colder weather activities like downhill skiing in temps below about 20 F. However, for day-to-day casual use and for shoulder season weather, I find myself grabbing for the Delta LT. To my eye, the Delta LT also looks less “techie” around town.
Bought this a few weeks ago hoping to replace my 12 year old fleece jacket from a different brand. Overall, I love the jacket, but its really thin. Expected it to be a heavier material that could be used as an outer shell in the 40 degree Fahrenheit range. I still love it, but disappointed that it's not a suitable replacement for that beloved old jacket/pullover. I'm going to keep it regardless because the fit makes it perfect for layering with my Atom LT Jacket.As for it. I'm 6.1 (73.5 in) 200 lbs. Jacket fits perfectly with room to spare. It's very fitted, so if you're self conscious about body image, you might want to elect for something with more flow.

Just bought this newer version of the Delta Light after owning four older models. This jacket no longer has the deep, zippered side pockets that were so useful. The fleece grid is inside, the outer side is knitted-more prone to snags. The one central chest pocket is less useful. The teal blue is beautiful color, but less versatile than the old navy. This jacketmodel will be as useful as the old for travel, layering, year round wearing, less versatile, more casual looking than original Delta Light.
The Delta LT (not this one) jacket is my favorite mid layer, period. I have over 10 of them, with a few unopened so that I never run out of them as older ones get worn out or damaged (though so far they're all good as new, including ones I've worn for extended hiking trips abroad). I got this "revised" Delta Jacket when it was on sale, to give it a whirl.It's so much worse. The weird design element being moved from the subtle upper left sleeve to the chest is wholly unwelcome, but it's hardly the only problem. The material is not as good, so while the inside facing layer still has those soft squares, the outside is smoother but just doesn't feel good in comparison to the older LT. Nice Jacket but...I owned this jacket previously and had problems with the fleece fabric becoming pilled and covered with lint. I ordered it again hoping for a re-design but it was the same. However, concurrently I ordered the Arcteryx Kyanite Jacket and compared the fabric with the Delta - I found the Kyanite to be much smoother on the exterior with a much tighter weave on the face of the fabric which I think will prevent the pill issue in the future. I decided to keep the Kyanite and returned the Delta. I also liked that the Kyanite had a longer cut and longer tail which makes for a good fit on the bike too. It's worth mentioning that I found both jackets to be similar in weight and warmth.
