I have always been able to wear cheap sandals & flip flops with no issues until I had a total hip replacement at 39 due to osteoarthritis. I had to start investing in better quality footwear to support my high arch & help me stay on my feet for long periods of time. Higher quality meant more money which meant less shoes for me. That’s bad news for a shoe lover like me. Fast forward 7 years to 2020 & I saw a social media ad that peaked my curiosity. The arch Supp was like a dream on my sore painful arch. Seriously like walking on a cloud! I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis almost three years ago. Since then, it has been a struggle to find sneakers that fit and helped relieve PF, which none did fully. Then, because of the firm structure of shoes for PF, I developed a bunion, which I had never had previously. I was on to another unsuccessful search - looking for shoes for PF that wouldn't cause even more bunion pressure/pain. No sneaker fit the bill, even those which my podiatrist and the specialized running store recommended for having both conditions -- since they all had overlays in a place that pressed on the bunion. So many shoes were bought and returned or quickly never worn! Then I saw an Archies ad, saw a neighbor wearing them, asked about them, and ordered a pair. I now slip off my ... These are definitely more than I would normally spend on myself for flip-flops so I asked for them last Christmas in two colors, coral and black. Husband and kids were happy to buy them as they never know what to get me. Now that it’s summer and pool season, I’m wearing them every day and I truly can’t believe how comfortable they are. I find myself never wanting to wear my old flip-flops, even the ones that I thought were comfortable before Archies. My only complaint is that I wish they were offered in more fun colors. I find most of the colors, like tan, taupe, and khaki to be very drab and wish you offered more exciting colors (like a teal or turquoise, or a pretty purple or lavender). If you add more exciting colors, I will definitely be ordering more but, for ... I am currently of heavy build and have been wearing mine, EvErY DaY and ALL DAY for over a month, and there is absolutely NO sign of wear, no flattening of the sole, no change in flexibility, no cracks...NoThInG! With that much use, you would also think they would be smelly, but nope! I wash them with my deodorant soap and water, dry them with a towel, and no smell!To Archies: PLEASE make insoles for shoes and/or different styles of shoes with this base as the sole. It is so nice to be relatively pain-free and I definitely want more options! =)
I love the colours I have the mint, coral, blue, black ones. They seem to help elevate some pain in my feet I normally suffer from. They are so comfortable. So much so I've now bought for my daughter and grandchildren. Can't wait for the warmer weather so I can wear them outside and show off my archies. All thanks to my niece who had a pair and she was raving about them. So I thought I'd try some. So glad I did, they are so sturdy not like the cheaper versions, the straps are melted into the rubber meaning no snapping at the wrong moment. Yes they are a little more expensive than normal, but so worth it, you will have these for many years to come. So comfortable, lovely colours. It did take a little time to get used them but BELIEVE ME, it's been so worth it! Now I can get them to form fit within a day or 2 bc I have basically mastered the gentle stretching of the straps & the more you wear them the better they feel & fit! I have a bad back & can't stand/ walk too long due to arthritis but I am back to being active like I used to & in less overall pain bc my Archies are SO comfortable . hey have the perfect cushioned & flexible footbed You must follow the directions on how to properly & GENTLY stretch the straps & toe piece for them to fit quicker than just wearing them ... I loved them, even having a new sole glued on as the original had turned into a air of slicks and were getting lethal if walking on any wet surfaces. Anyhoo, we were going on holiday this year so ordered a new pair of your Archies. As soon as they arrived, really quick delivery, I tried them on and they were really comfortable from the start. My wife tried them on and wanted a pair for herself too. They arrived quickly and with only a few days before flying on holiday.
