Just upgraded to the rush and am very impressed with my first day out on it. Medium fits amazing at 5'11 and 175 LBS but I can see how it doesn't leave much room for someone with larger dimensions and the large was a little bit too large. Paired with the Sabre bibs the setup feels absolutely bomb-proof and an amazing setup for rough days at the resort. First day out on the mountains was a 1'+ powder day and the setup performed flawlessly. Chose the Rush over the Sabre for the Gore-tex Pro. I'm not sure if upgrading is the right word, but it's coming over from a Pat Snowdrifter jacket, which is also awesome but feels a little bit heavier, stiff, and slightly bulkier in the fit. Will continue to use the Pat, but for cold, deep days, I'm definitely grabbing the Rush.

Women's Rush jacket has TWO chest pockets but men's Rush has only ONE chest pocket. Why not make men's Rush has two check pockets so there is a consistent design on the same line for both men's and women's Rush jackets. Also from the cosmetic standpoint. two symmetric chest pockets is looking much better than one chest pocket. One inside chest pocket is looking better than one outside chest pocket.

Wow such an excelllent upgrade to the classic Rush jacket from Arc'teryx. I am very pleased with the updates. I really appreciate the cuffs, I couln't stand the old ones, I also love the removal of the powder skirt and couldn't stand having one, they always seem to bunch up and honestly for me as a bib user I don't need the powder skirt.I also love the updated fit, it is slighly shorter than the old version, and slighlty more relaxed in the chest too. I am very hopeful that this will be my go to for touring and resort shell for years to come.

Solid Jacket no complaints. You can definitely tell this GORE-TEX is thicker(?) than the lower denier ones and gives you confidence to stay dry and warm. Can get a just slightly tight around the lats when wearing layers like hoodies or sweaters but its not a problem if ur layering with proper layers like an Atom. It especially feels great to have a barrier to the weather that you can trust when you are going up the lift. Since you are not moving I find this is a crucial time to not let the elements penetrate your jacket. My Rush gives me confidence that this will note happen.The powder skirt has kept the snow from riding up my back. I have a long torso and I appreciate that it is low enough. It also has 2 button settings which gives me a comfortable fit.The front pockets are easily accessible and allows me to put things like my phone in it. The shoulder pocket is nice to put my pass in so the RFID reader can read my pass.The velcro straps on the wrist are even well designed. I find it easy to tightness so my Fission mitts can go over them and not let any snow get it.Also, I LOVE that this jacket is so light. I don't feel heavy and weighted down. I definitely feel like I'm flying when I'm ripping it and comfortable when I'm walking aroudn the resort.I love my Rush and can't wait for it to be a part of my snowboarding adventures with my family!
So, I recently got the Arcteryx Rush Jacket, the quality is top-notch! The materials are sturdy, waterproof, and breathable, perfect for all sorts of outdoor adventures. But the sizing is a bit off. The chest area felt way too tight, while the rest of the jacket was kind of baggy, giving me that "I'm drowning in fabric" vibe. It's a fantastic jacket, but you might want to try before you buy to nail down that perfect fit.
Quality is excellent, front zipper is robust and smooth, and hood easily accommodates ski helmet. Coming from a large stingray shell which fit perfectly, I naturally chose the large. Large fits well except too tight in chest, can’t get elbows within a foot of each other. Then I tried the XL and it was massive like a blanket with sleeves to my finger tips. XL would only work if I was shaped like a pear. Arcteryx used to have a nice athletic cut but sizing changes appear they are catering to the couch potato - what a shame as I love their quality! I have plenty of arcteryx clothes which fit fine in L and XL, now there are items I can’t buy due to sizing changes. For reference, I am 6’1” 210 lbs 45.5” chest, 36” waist, 36” sleeve.
I have a serious concern for Arcteryx's warranty support and Rush Jacket's durability. My Rush jacket is 15 month old and probably used about 20 days snowboarding. I usually do 5 days long trips at times. I do wash my gears after each trips with proper detergents (Grangers) following Arcteryx's instruction. My Rush jacket is experiencing likely top layer fabric failure along the left lateral torso seams. Arcteryx attributes these to "fabric abrasion occurs when pressure and movement are applied to the material". I do not wear backpack with Rush Jacket. I cannot think what would cause this pressure damage to "Most Rugged 3L Gore-Tex Pro". Super disappointed with Rush jacket and Arcteryx support.
This jacket is awesome. I love that they removed the powder skirt because I rock bibs whenever I ski, so I would never use the powder skirt. This also makes this jacket pretty good for casual wear, and if you don't like the long cut you can cinch the bottom and crop it a bit.At 6' tall and 220lbs the large fits me perfectly. Not sure what my chest measures out to but I have a 34" waist and the large leaves plenty of room for layers if I need them on a chilly day.Overall very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this jacket.
