Ariana Grande God Is A Woman EDP 100 ml

Ariana Grande continues to be my favorite celebrity perfumer. Despite the fact that I don't know if I entirely "get" the name of this fragrance, God is a Woman is a really nice, sweet perfume. It features notes of pear, ambrette, orris, Turkish rose, vanilla and sandalwood. It actually bears a slight resemblance to Ari's Cloud, but this is fruitier, and much less of a BR540 dupe. The pear note is very prominent and gives this scent most of it's sweetness ( I would have thought there were a few berries in there also, but none listed in the notes!). This could really be described as a pear fragrance overall. It's kind of like if you mixed JHAG's Pear Inc. with Cloud. It's a sweet, fruity, warm, musky, vanilla dream. Clean, Juicy, Fresh, Pear Lollies!!!

Wow, I have to say this smells nothing like how I expected. I've heard so many reviews saying this smelt like cloud and I'm shocked because it smells absolutely nothing like it at all in my opinion. It's not a fragrance with much depth to it as there are very few notes. When you first spray it, it opens with an extremely juicy vibrant pear which does tone down a little as it dries but it is still definitely very existent and thriving. To be honest, I really don't smell the musk, maybe like the tiniest, tiniest hint, but to me, 60% of the smell I get I would describe as juicy sweet pear lollies and the rest of the 40% I get is kind of like a washing detergent type of fresh, clean scent but in the absolute best way possible. Disappointing. Sorry, Ariana

I’m not normally a fan of celebrity perfumes but I found a tester of Ariana Grande’s ‘God is A Woman’ perfume in a magazine and it blew me away! So much so, that I purchased the 100ml perfume as soon as I could. The tester teased an unusual, sophisticated grown-up fragrance.However, I was so disappointed with the purchased perfume. In my opinion, it doesn’t smell anything like the tester and smells just like hundreds of average celeb overly-sweet sickly scents. Kudos though that the perfume is cruelty-free and vegan.The perfume also doesn’t have much longevity. I can barely smell it moments after putting it on and have not had one compliment about it whilst wearing it. I just use it as a body spray now. albeit an expensive one….

Fruity, sophisticated but still very much unisex

Despite the title, the fragrance was not as feminine as I thought it might be. It still sits firmly in that unisex market. When people say this one is like Cloud they just mean in the sense there are seems like many elements to the fragrance that are beautifully fused together. Scent wise it is very much unique. When I first sprayed I absolutely got fruit, fruit, fruit, fruit, fruit and you’d be sane to think it’s apple to begin with. When you really take it in you realise it’s pear. But this is a very fruity scent without being too sugary and teensy. I didn’t give 5 stars because for the price the longevity is quite poor. It’s not as bad as her other fragrances but you’re not really smelling it much after about 3 hours. Packaging is really lovely but the bottle and its presentation has a bit of a cheap plastic vibe to it. If you like any of her other fragrances you’ll definitely find something to like about this one. My new favourite alongside Cloud.

Good Everyday Perfume

The scent is so lovely. The ambrette and pear are very prominent. If I focus I can slightly smell the other notes. It's very fruity with a light musk that balances the sweetness of the pear very well. I see many people saying it does not last. I use it with the matching lotion or body oil which I also love and recommend. One thing I see people doing is dabbing or rubbing perfumes on their skin. Avoid doing that and let the spray dry down on your pulse points for a longer lasting scent. You can also spray some into some vaseline to create a more solid perfume. That can help the scent last longer. For the price point, I find it manageable. The scent first comes off as strong but not in an overpowering way. My Least Favorite Fragrance by Ariana

I collect Ariana's fragrances because they are usually always really good smelling and long lasting. I have all of her fragrances and this is by far my least favorite smell. It isn't fruit, sweet, floral, or light by any means. It's a very musky harsh warm spicy scent that smells nothing like it's description. It doesn't last much longer than 2-3 hours, and it gives me a headache after about one hour or wear which is unfortunate because I paid for the large bottle. The packaging is probably my least favorite part, it's a huge bulky plastic purple square. It takes up a lot of space on a dresser and cannot be traveled with. The only pros are that this was her first completely vegan and cruelty free scent which I admire.

Nice pick me up, Doesn't last.

I have this in the 3.4 oz and the travel spray. For being such a powerful name, I expected something more from this scent. Especially with Sweetener being my favorite era. It is a pleasant scent, interesting packaging but it's nothing new. Love the box it comes in. Nice, fruity floral pick me up scent but doesn't last long. The pear is juicy in this. I don't really smell the rose as much, it's pretty muted, but the Orris (Iris Root) and Ambrette come through strong. I think that it's cool that it's It's cruelty free, 100% vegan and her first perfume with clean, 91% naturally derived ingredients. It's a nice gift for fellow fans, but I don't know if I would repurchase just because of the lasting power/sillage issues. I don't regret buying this tho, because I bought it when the brand was donating $5 of every purchase to the Clean up Oceans Initiative. Even with moisturizing, this never lasts. I feel like I can't smell it on me/ last long unless I overspray, and even then it's maybe 2 hours if it's being generous. If somebody asked me what to recommend for a gift, I would honestly say Cloud or Ari over this one . Better value for money with the lasting power, and you can buy the body sprays to layer to make the scent stay with you.Side note: This reminds me A-LOT of Givenchy's Irresistible. Only difference is the base notes. Irresistible having Musk and Virginia Cedar.

Not the strongest but very pleasant

I bought this because I was looking for an everyday perfume that wouldn't break the bank, could be applied liberally throughout the day if needed, and had more responsibly sourced ingredients than most perfumes. This fragrance is indeed light, it's no Chanel, and needs a few more sprays than just pulse points. However, it's a very clean and refreshing scent. It's not overbearing at all. I'm not concerned with someone being able to smell me from 50 ft away when I'm out running errands or sitting at a computer all day. Pear-heavy with a hint of a more masculine musk smell while being a tiny bit sweet. The initial application is very pear-y but it dries down to a delicate, almost spiced fruit, clean, barely sweet scent. Being in my 30s I was apprehensive of buying an Ariana Grande perfume, since she's really into those sickeningly sweet scents, but I really enjoy this one. I tried Ellis Brooklyn Sweet before this (similar scent profile but way different smells) and it definitely lives up to its name, got returned almost immediately. I didn't keep the chunky plastic holder this one came in. I like the sleek simplicity of the bottle as it is. The holder would have just taken up space and has been recycled. My signature for a while has been Burberry Her. I use YSL Black Opium on date night. I wear Burberry Her London Dream occasionally layered with Her. I won't be purchasing these anymore though unless they start being more conscious about their ingredients. Let's change the supply by demanding better production. If you have any of these already you'll probably like GIAW. I'm definitely more of a gourmand than a floral woman, but this really hit the mark for me. I applaud Ariana for wanting to build better perfumes, trying to raise the bar and bring fragrance production into the 21st century. Y'all should look up how fragrance ingredients, such as musk, are traditionally acquired and how many perfumes aren't vegan and cruelty free. =)

Pear-adise in a bottle

I own most of Ariana's other scents and I saved this one for last based on the reviews and how it looks. I told myself I wasn't planning on getting this one but I thought I'll give it a try to see if I like it. I'm glad I gave it a chance because this is my favorite one of hers. It smells EXACTLY like pears and who knew a pear scent would be this amazing?! The other scents she added with it go well together - orris is a sweet, soft, powdery fragrance. It gives other scents a lasting quality to floral and base notes. It's a nice fruity/floral perfume and I love it.As for the longevity, despite all of the negative reviews I read, this perfume does in fact last! I spray 7-9 times and 2 of those are on the base of my neck and wrist. I do like how she went with a different rectangular style instead of her usual round bottles. Overall, this is one of the best by her and don't let the other reviews discourage you from trying this out for yourself!

Wow..She continues to make really good perfume 🤩

Well, the wonderful manager saved a bottle for me a day before they are officially supposed to sell it and let me tell you...it has Cloud dna in the dry down and it's really sweet and has a sexy musky smoky (in a good way) fresh gourmand cashmere smell. The initial opening smells reminds me of those Russian fizzy hard candies, specifically the green one that tastes like pear. Don't worry, it's a very pretty, sweet, and delicious pear that gives it a fruity fresh vibe. I could almost be sure this has a tiny bit of a minty gum scent in the background...which doesn't bother me because who doesn't like the vibe that fresh minty gum smell gives? It takes someone with my super sensitive nose to perfume notes to be able to detect that. It kind of reminds me of a Victoria's Secret perfume, which is a good thing, of course because their perfumes are good! I recommend! I could see this as something guys really think smells good because of its fruitiness and sweetness. Nothing offensive about it at all. It's an eu de parfum so it will last longer than eu de toilette. I could see this as a perfume having long longevity. Also, it's definitely an everyday day and night perfume so you aren't limited to when you can wear it.
