Quality of 2k is well worth piece of mind to identify any unwanted people. I need another unit.

Awesome spotlight camera

I bought another popular brand of floodlight camera to install at my mother’s house, all the cameras needed to be hardwired. When it was time to install the cameras at my house, I decided to go wireless. I was expecting lesser quality performance and vision. I should’ve have worried Arlo floodlight cameras are amazing. I highly recommend these to everyone.

Can't get it too work.

I installed three Arlo Pro 3 cameras plus two Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cameras at our home just over a month ago. The system is quite easy to install. It all worked well for 4 days then it stopped working. I have had a couple of calls to Arlo technical department to try resolve the issue. All staff fabulous, very patient and helpful. No complaints here! Arlo can remotely "pick up" our Base Station but we cannot get any cameras to connect/sync to the base station, so we have no system. I believe the issue has been escalated but I am still waiting for further help. I am am hopeful that it will get resolved. The general quality of the product is ok. The cameras and their clarity are fine. However and very unfortunately, the quality of the mounting mechanisms are poor. Installed the Pro 3 Floodlight Camera one week ago when overnight temperatures were as low as -20 dgrees C. The Pro 3 provides a far better video experience than the Pro 2 camera installed nearby. The Pro 3 seems to use far more juice and takes forever to recharge compared to the Pro 2 which is not unexpected. What was unexpected it that Arlo's Pro 3 2K cloud recordings cannot be viewed in my browser online and need to be downloaded first. In addition the Pro 3 is "unhappy" at low temperatures that are tolerated by the Pro 2. Tips for the Pro 3: dial back the default motion sensitivity or you will be recording every passing snowflake; turn off audio detection or you will be recording every gust of wind. It's a fantastic investment for reliable and high-performing surveillance. Highly recommended!

Major audio issues and months without resolution

Clearly this once was a great product but something has gone majorly wrong with the audio. Hasn’t worked properly from the get go, was made to jump through hoop after hoop before they agreed there was a problem, and since then, an endless loop of ‘it’s still being looked at by our engineers’. The speed of problem solving suggests they barely have one full time engineer.

The problem is it frequently loses connection despite my router and modem being plugged into a UPS and the router providing a very strong signal to the camera.I understand that a loss of connection can occur for many reasons, but the main issue with this camera is that when it does lose connection your only option is to reset it manually by using the re-synch button on the camera. Think about that for a while if your intended mounting is in a not easily accessible location OR (as in my case) when it is being used to remotely monitor a property a far distance away. To put that into context, I use Logitech LogiCircle cameras on another location of the same property that have been working flawlessly for years. Great product. Powerful floodlight and camera combined. Super easy to install. I bought optional eaves mount and find this works the best for my house. Very long standby time before recharges so no fixed power is really required unless you use it 24/7. Light is as good as a regular flood light. Very pleased.
