It works but too many glitches. The app constantly tells you to log in even when you have email and password stored. At first when purchasing this product, there was issues with the 4k content camera display. This was an issue that affected many customers. Since then the issue has been resolved. Overall, you get clear picture takings. I give this device an aberage rating for its gitches.

The quality of the picture is better than the pro three that was replaced. Oh it doesn’t last six months unless you have it on the simplest settings but the battery definitely lasts a lot longer than my pro three was. Easily hooked up to the smart hub that I have. The color night vision is awesome you can see what color the vehicle is going by or what color the clothing is someone is walking by even the dog or in my neighbors case the cat they walk. Very happy with the upgrade. Two of my cameras did not fair weather this winter.In the picture below is a view of the camera top one is pro three bottom one is ultra two.One other thing that I like is the fact that I can add someone else to keep an eye on the house.

I have owned this model for a little over one year. The little annoyances of the software build up over time to the point where i would not recommend this device. Problems: First: There is a long delay (up to a minute) in connecting to the camera when viewing video. The delay makes it worthless as a real time door monitor. By the time the video is displayed the visitor at the door has left. Second: Out of the box the system only records video when movement is detected within a configured Activity area. If movement is not detected there is no video captured. Arlo does provide continuous video capture for an added monthly fee. Cameras are good quality, the battery lasts for ages and the add-on solar panel keeps them charged to the point where I only have to put this on a charger once per year, even in the cloudy northwest. That said, the app is terrible. It will periodically sign out without warning, meaning that the cameras don't function. No notifications, no recording, nothing, potentially for days if you haven't checked the app.
My Arlo Pro stopped working so I upgraded to Ultra 2.The good:4K quality video is available.Auto zoom and tracking locks in on a person walking toward or away from camera.Good audio quality.Captures a person, car, animals, and birds!Three camera angle settings, Super Wide 180, Wide 155, or Full 120 degrees. I can fully cover my wider than normal driveway.Activity zone will zero in and capture a selected area.The not so good:Pricy.Night images are not clear. However, if you choose to turn the auto spotlight on, it will capture decent color images. I just do not want my neighbors to hate me!Arlo will be going subscription soon. This means no videos can be saved without a subscription!
In daytime, I can see my surroundings but I don’t know what lurks in the dark. With 4K, motion activated flashlight, and siren capabilities, I feel like I can be in defense for what’s happening after dark too. Peace of mind at all times for me knowing I’m able to protect my family and the things we treasure.
Horrible camera. Had their security system for years and they constantly disconnect. Purchased this one to replace another bad Arlo camera and this stopped working after a few weeks and can't get support form Arlo. There live support tells you to do the same thing over and over. Do not recommend their products.
You cannot take advantage of the 4K video, i.e. be able to view them unless you do it on a smartphone or with the only supported browser, late version Edge, on a PC with an appropriate video card. That means no MACs, no low-end PCs.They don't make that clear when you buy the Ultra2 cameras. I have well over a dozen Pro 2 cameras, and 4 Ultra2's. The only thing I can watch videos on is live-recorded (which is NOT 4K), or have to download videos to watch them. Useless. They are going back. And the quality is little better than the Pro2 quality videos which are not as good as they were before Netgear sold Arlo. Now they compress the videos in the cloud and the resolution stinks.Pixelated, blurry, low res.Now you cannot opt out of 2FA, and they can't seem to ... I went over this on another review for a set. But to civer it again briefly. The detection range can be hit or miss. Sometines it seems to pick up all motion while others it doesnt want to pick up any motion. The biggest issue with the solo camera we had was instead if a anti theft outer casing it just has a press button. It would be great for the right purpose but as an outdoor supplement security camera it puts your camera at risk of being grabbed.
