This is my first cologne ever and I couldn't be more delighted. Little bit of backstory: I'm 16 and I got involved with the cologne community on YouTube recently, I'm pretty new, I've only been around for like 3 weeks. I decided to buy this since I heard so many positive reviews about it. NGL, when I first sprayed it on my arm I didn't think it was a big deal. In my head I was thinking "it's alright I guess, this feels a bit overhyped" . I wasn't blown away at first,BUT let me tell you, after 2 hours of it settling down I was COMPLETELY entranced with the smell!! Just like most I wanted a decent copy of Aventus and this is as close as you can get. I do detect the absence of oak moss so its not as bright and effervescent but for the price its a no brainer. It has a slightly saltier effect on my skin and I somehow get heady notes of tequila wafting for the first few hours as the scent evolves. Its nice at first but it really changes over time and hangs in there long enough to do so. The smokier notes die down and the fruitier, softer side comes out for me around the one hour mark. But 5-8 hours later its still there and has mellowed into a very close comfortable clone. Like Aventus it really hangs in on your clothes. Not identical Aventus, but close enough that you'd have to smell them side by side to differentiate between the two. This newer "batch" of CDNIM I just bough is just plain not good. I'm not sure what Armaf changed, but it certainly wasn't a change for the better. The fragrance now smells like a mess and the longevity is maybe 2 hours before it sits very close to the skin. Yes, you still have the birch tar fragrance in CDNIM that is the hallmark of any fragrance trying to emulate Aventus. But, in my opinion, all the supporting / accompanying notes are what create the messiness of this current formulation. I will also say ... I picked this up the other day along with "Iconic" from Club de Nuit. Untold is a really nice scent and it's potency is exceptional. I don't know that I'd recommend it for warm weather situations as it might be abrasive. Definitely a Fall/Winter scent. Reminds me of Christmas for some reason. My nose picks up Cinnamon and Vanilla which I'm sure is the Amber wood. If you're looking for a Spring/Summer scent, Iconic is definitely the way to go. Both very nice!

It does, as others have said, lack the smoothness and complexity of Aventus, and the famous pineapple note is partially replaced with a synthetic lemon smell. After 30-60 minutes, though, it is sexy, smoky, masculine, and frankly more comparable to Aventus as the middle and base notes emerge. For a fragrance with this kind of DNA, I personally don't see the need to pay through the nose for a bit of added complexity and a pineapple note that recedes within a couple of hours. Now batches beyond 02/2017 with a new black sprayer instead of silver, yet again most of the complaints are from the people who bought them from India. Like I said, that could be the case, because made in France and buying it from India, high heat country and a lot of fakes there in general, I have nothing against India people, but that's how it is.
I don't have words to describe how gorgeous Armaf Club de Nuit Untold is.. Everybody knows that there is almost 99 percent similarity for famous BR540 but in extrait version. Projection, lasting power are nuclear!!!! And I know what I am saying..one spray and you are done for 14hours. The quality is amazing, perfume are changing during the day, they project and evaluating. With this price you are getting truly masterpiece
