The two pointed brushes don't hold a point at all. After my first miniature, I had to trim off half the bristles on the"insane detail" brush because they split in half and would be a tiny fork. The medium pointed brush isn't stiff enough at all to hold a point. I'll be trimming it very soon, too. The chisel point brush is adequate. Nothing special about it. This isn't and expensive brush set but it's not exactly super cheap, either. I would expect a little more for the money.

The detail and regiment paint brush work great. I like the meatier dry brush and recommend going with Army Painter set of three dry brushes. If you are looking for detail brushes, this set is fine. If you looking for dry brushing try that set instead.

I'm just getting started with miniature painting, and these were an immediate step up from the cheap-o brushes I started out with. I feel like I have more control with the medium brush from this set than I had with the finer cheap synthetics, and finer details with the smaller brush were so much easier.

I can see why this is called the most wanted brush set. It has 3 different brushes that come in handy for all types of applications. The broad brush is helpful for large applications, especially when applying washes. The angled brush helps to get real close along edges and in angled spots. The thin brush is excellent for applying small details.
As someone who was looking to start in the miniature painting hobby, I found myself quickly overwhelmed by the range of products out there for painting experts will find ever tvoe of paint and brush imaginable, but those of us starting it's a heck of a lot to try and parse out.Army Painter has made the process tremendous less overwhelming withtheir Most Wanted Brush Set - by taking their most popular brushes (whichexcel at some or the most fundamental roles in mini painting) and selling them as a set, they've taken a lot of the thinking out or getting started. I've been on an Army painter Speedpaint kick. Some of those spots you have to hit need a bigger brush, some need super focused brush. This kit met my needs for both on my Altar Quest mini painting.
I own every army painter brush they make. This truly is the most wanted set. I've bought a few packs of these in my time painting. They last a decent amount of time if you take care of them. but you do have to take care of them. Wash them and paint with them properly. Great set
This is my favorite brush set! Perfect for beginners or experienced painters alike. Also, brushes are high quality and will last a long time with proper maintenance.
Sunward's service was fantastic but the brushes themselves are only average. The dry brush is on par with any dollar store angled brush. The Insane Detail brush had 2 bristles sticking way out from the rest and couldn't form a point, after I cut them off it was better but my cheap 000 brush from Michael's is just as good. The regiment brush is the best of them all, only holds a point for a few strokes at a time though. It does hold lots of paint and if you can use the sides of the bristles it works very well. For the price it's not a bad set and while there are many better brushes out there they also cost a lot more.
When I first got into miniature painting, everyone was raving about sable-hair brushes. One of the Army Painter paint sets I bought came with a "monster brush." Years later, it's still my go-to brush for almost everything. Legitimately great brushes, and being synthetic means they won't fight you like sable brushes will. Get some!
