SHOCKS WAS LEAKING AS SOON AS I OPENED THE BOX... RAN THE TRUCK THE FIRST DAY AND THE PINION GEAR CAME LOOSE..... CALLED HORIZON HOBBIES 4 DAYS STRAIGHT AND WAS ON HOLD OVER AN HOUR EACH DAY I CALLED.... SO I DECIDED TO FIX THE PROBLEM MYSELF... I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RC TRUCK TO ANYONE... PURCHASED THE ARRMA KRATON AS WELL.... SHOCKS LEAKING ON IT AS WELL....
The outcast is fast and really fun to drive. Pretty tough truck so far.
In a few words, its durable, inexpensive, and loads of fun. Only minor gripes that dont retract from the 5stat review in my opinion. Stock radio is meh (but usable for beginners). Stock bearings wont last forever, but most rtr bearings are subpar in my opinion. At this price point this truck is fantastic!
Car is very fun to drive. Unfortunately to bash/jump/trick like it should be able to you need to be prepared to replace a few parts. Broke an a arm and shock already. All my shocks are leaking. Is what it is, however when the issues are so pervasive that everyone in the Arrma forum tells the same thing is needed for upgrades (a-arms, shocks, radio and bearings) that should a bit of a wake up call for Arrma/Horizon that maybe their car has a few well known deficiencies. My sons Granite BLX has the same radio/bearing/leaking shocks issues. Anyway the Outcast is a fun car, just be ready to shell out some additional $$$ after the sale to make it RTR.
I like most all of Arrmas line of rigs. But this one and some of the other models are a one trick pony. Its a stunt truck, it can be a handful depending on what you want. If nothing but being on the back wheels and back flips are your thing this is the truck for you.
Really impressed with the durability of this truck and what you get for the price. 90% capability of the 6s model, super fast and great handling, less breaking due to slightly smaller size and lighter weight. Just need to get the RPM arms and a better radio.
