This ascent feels more cushioned than the Apex, which was very hard under foot. This is the first school shoe (or any shoe for that matter) in 9 years that has rubbed a lot in the heel and my child is getting blisters on both feet in the same area on the heel, even with the heel lock, so something to look out for. We'll give them a bit more of a try, but might have to go with a different school shoe. Maybe it's the sizing as I wanted a 5.5, but got convinced on a 6 .

My daughter finds the Scholar shoes extremely comfortable and they look smart for high school. Hard wearing and all day comfort is a win for teenagers!

Great to be able to get a shoe narrow enough to fit my daughters long skinny feet. She says these are the best school shoes have felt in years.Would love some laces to be a little longer though to allow for heel lock lacing and to be able to still tie a bow

We've bought Ascent school shoes for all 3 kids throughout school. They're comfortable, durable, and last for ages. Bought online this time as local store were sold out and it was super easy and quick for shoes to arrive. These will be the final pair of Ascent school shoes to last the next two years (daughter's last ones wore out after four years)

Great shoes for narrow feet that are comfortable and durable. My daughter actually got 2 years out of her first pair wearing them to school 3-4days/week!
