I bought this shoe to include in my rotation for marathon training. It’s been awhile since I ran in ASICS, but heard the Nimbus 24’s were a good trainer with good cushion for all types of runs. I ran 5 kilometers out the box and the run was well cushioned, although fore foot landings still a little bit stiff, but with a breaking in period, no problems on next runs of 5 miles or more! The shoe is light enough to pick up the pace and will do strides on them soon! It’s a good overall trainer that can do a bit of everything! Excellent on long runs where you need good cushioning and a comfy upper! Tongue sits nicely a on top of foot. A good shoe for daily training or to add to your rotation. Good to see ASICS gel-nimbus is back!

I purchased a pair of Nimbus 24 one month ago and have walked about 150 miles. The tread material and design make a lot of noise when walking. Previous designs were much quieter. One shoe appears to have a manufacturing defect with the heel cup. Previous pairs I wore and the other shoe of my current pair have the heel cup enclosed in the side padding. The outter side of the problem shoe does not have any padding covering the hard heel cup. As a result, the heel cup is bruising the ligament/tendons below the ankle bone causing significant pain. The hard heel cup also feel bigger compared to Nimbus 23 shoes.

Purchased Asics Gel Nimbus 24's from fleet feet in Sugar Land Tx. - knowledgeable and friendly staff. (A welcomed surprise after buying many pairs of running shoes from the big box stores.) They did not have these shoes in my size on hand but quickly ordered them to be sent to my house, They arrived at my front door a few days later, Currently have run 72 miles in them and love the cushioned ride. At 72 years of age and many thousands of miles of running and my share of injuries, I need running shoes that have good support and are will cushioned. They are excellent for long runs as well as hill work and speed intervals on the treadmill.

Asics is by far the best brand of running shoe for heavy strikers who need superior cushioning and stability. I love their shoes, but have very wide feet. I wish they offered more options for Wide and Extra Wide runners.
My true size is 8 2E and run two 3 miles during the weekdays and one 6 miles on the weekend. At the outlet store, they only have 8 4E (Extra Wide) with black/white. No issue, tried it and they fit perfectly. I started wearing the GT line many years ago (8 2E), but deviated to other brands. Now that only limited brands offer wide sizes, I decided to try the Nimbus and I love them.These tend to push you to lean/leap forward, but I adapted to them in one run. The only complain is that the landing noise is loud, so I am adjusting my landing and trying to find the sweet spot with less noise.
Excellent for my feet, basically I have no arch and have gone through foot surgery. Feet constantly ache. But these shoes really support my feet. I definitely will be getting more shoes. Could you keep me informed of good running shoes for flat feet support and over pronation.

These are NOT your older Nimbuses. The shoes are a highly cushioned running shoe but the overall design has changed greatly. The tongue and inner profiles of the soles are the biggest things that change the overall look and feel of the shoe. I will say these are the softest versions that I have worn since wearing them, they have been my go to wide shoe since the 16 version. I will probably switch to another brand after these wear out unfortunately. Not a fan of the redesign.
Measured width of the extra wide is 123 mm, that is 5 mm narrower than my Gel Nimbus 22 which is 128 mm wide. The tightness of this model makes it extremely uncomfortable. It also has replaced the traditional tongue with a flimsy folding device so it cannot be used as a flip-on. I returned it.Gel Nimbus 24 has the same tightness problem!

Every pair I've had starts to disintegrate after a couple months (disclosure: I walk 5-6 miles almost daily). I've had a few start ripping after 2 five mile walks (in those cases I was given credit for new pairs) . All that said, I have kept buying them over and over because I have a foot issue (neuroma) and they're the only ones that consistently fit and don't give me foot pain (New Balance and Hoka are worse). This pair is just unbearable. There's basically no tongue, just a thin stretch band. I thought it was a defect at first but now assume it's some kind of feature.
