Going on 4 weeks now of using these shoes, and will have to return them to Fleet Feet.Comfort wise they are overall fine stationarily, but I still get small blisters on the outside of my foot when running. This didn't change no matter how many weeks they were "broken" in, or what socks I wore either.What really ruined these shoes for me though, was the inadequacy and impracticality they offer at the end of the day, as "running" shoes. I didn't have anything to lose though since Fleet Feet allows trials of shoes, and was all that was available locally since Asics takes 2 weeks to ship products.

The "sock-like" liner is a not-so stretchy material that squeezes the entire foot. Even with the laces removed, it's still a VERY tight fit. I know it is a new shoe, but I don't know if mine was a factory defect and they sent me a D width with a 4E label, or what? Also the ankle collar is an odd design. It's like it clamps the back half of the ankle, but then there is nothing holding the front part of the ankle area. I bought these shoes after being fitted at Fleet Feet in February. At first, they seemed great. Despite being on the heavier side, they were very comfortable, and felt like they had decent spring. I wore them for part of my half marathon training and for the race itself. Unfortunately, once I hit about 120 miles of wear, they started giving me blisters. It seems that the cushion in the back of the heal has worn so much that itâs left the fabric loose, which is whatâs causing the blisters. I normally get at least 250 miles out of my shoes before I even think about a new pair but already had to buy replacements. Iâm very disappointed in the durability. This was my first experience with ASICS running shoes and makes me very hesitant to try the brand again.

The Asics store in Chelsea, NYC offered an in store foot evaluation program which they measured and scanned your feet and helped picked out your shoe and size due to how you walk and run. After running around 60km with them, I have found a few major changes to this shoe in comparison to the Gel-Nimbus 25, although overall theyâre very similar.As a neutral shoe, aimed for longer jogs, the Nimbus 26 pretty much guarantees max cushioning and comfort for miles on end, whilst keeping the bouncy and comfort. With both shoes having the Pure Gel in the heel area, thereâs plenty of comfort and a super enjoyable landing for anyone running with a more heel pronounce technique. The upper mesh and knit tongue are an absolute highlight of this shoe, and I am very glad they kept using this feature; it provides comfort whilst still allowing breathability.The addition of rubber to the outsole seems to be adding durability and grip, with a very minimal weight gain. The most noticeable change is that the bottom of the lace throat loses the âWâ shape and is now a âV,â the lacing system gets more built up with wider straps over the arch. I find this extremely helpful as my ankles tend to become unstable after a few hours of running, so this new, simple feature has been welcomed. The most significant changes are the firmer midsole, helping them become considerably more responsive than the Nimbus 25, but also keeping a very similar soft feeling.Apart from those improvements, overall, itâs a very similar shoe from the Gel-Nimbus 25, and if you enjoyed the previous model, you will certainly enjoy this one. It feels good to run in and itâs a much firmer shoe and up there as one of my top pics for longer runs.
I had another pair of Gel-Nimbus years ago and, for that shoe iteration, I thought that there can't be something worse on the market.However, when I tried the Gel-Nimbus 26 everything changed. You feel like you're flying in this running shoes. The comfort is great, the cusion is great, also the upper feels good.The only disadvantages that I see are:1. The upper that is very comfortable but a lilttle bit too thick. In the summer days your feet get overheated.2. The weight.
