Long time Asics fan here, runner and for basic athletics. I tried a different popular brand of shoes last year when it was time to invest in a new pair, I found myself with more aches in my legs and my feet were hot felt heavy and tired. I couldn’t wait for my yearly time to come around again to buy a new pair of Asics. I bought these and wow what a difference in my run and my legs and feet don’t feel sore and tired after a run. It’s awesome they are so lightweight and perfect amount of tread on the soles for my road running switchover to gravel I can’t wait to test these bad boys out on one of the woodsy trails after my endurance is a little more solid. I have the goretex version in the same size and these are softer so could size down half a size compared to them. One size up from dress shoes gives a comfortable fit. Could be tighter around ankles though.

Straight out the box and on for an 8km off roader, very comfy. Ordered a half size bigger as usual but these are very roomy and probably didn't need to. Good padding around the ankle and achilles. Could do with a little more medial arch support for us over pronators but my orthotics fitted in well after removing the innersole. Laces stayed put. Enough grip on the sole to handle the mud.
I have now owned three pairs of asics trainers. A podiatrist friend recommended them for me. I have type one Diabetes. And I find it difficult to find shoes suitable for my feet that won’t hurt or mark them. I find these trainers let the front of my feet sit flatter and my toes are comfortably spaced. They have great Heel and cuff support.
So happy with these shoes! For the last year or so I have been discouraged with the Asics I have purchased. After buying multiple models I could not find one that did not hurt my feet...until these. I read a few 5 star reviews I thought I would give them a try. I was very impressed and was happy I bought two pairs. They fit great at the get-go. I will definitely be purchasing these again!
These are a really snug fit. The material that they are made out of looks and feels like plastic. Not comfortable at all, my squishy cushioning like my Gel9s.I purchased these thinking that they would be like my previous pair of Gel_Ventura 9s ( which are my fave pair of shoes)
This is my second pair of these shoes. Not because they had issues in anyway, only because I went over 900km in the last pair within 10months and while the old shoes themselves still held strong (no wear tear shown in anyway other than, for lack of a better word,’cushioning’) it was time to retire them but only for the same pair. I couldn’t fault them. I’ve taken this shoes over some varied terrain, mud, rivers, rocks, snow, grass, road and solid milage without an issue. My go too trusted, hence the name, old faithfuls.Their lugs hold up to all terrain without issue, solid grip over rocks, through mud and leaf litter. They’ve never slipped on the steed declines. And these shoes have been incredible at tackling all of the varied climates.
I bought these shoes for walking on trails at my local botanical garden. There is a mix of paved walkways and dirt or gravel trails throughout the park. These shoes have better grip and traction than my ASIC Gel Kayano running shoes when walking on wet concrete , loose gravel or dirt paths. These shoes are closer to the ground, so I don’t feel like I am going to roll my ankle. They are perfectly wide and cushioned for my feet. For the sale price, I feel like I should stock up! I like them so much that I just ordered a pair for my mom! Highly recommend!
Beautiful and quite comfortable for trail. Though there is little to no arch support which was in the description of the product (normal to overpronation). It is also the only reason I bought them. So don't choose these in case of overpronation.
